I was doing tons of research on line trying to find a reliable Med Spa. After visiting Gentle Star I know I can finally stop hunting. The staff are so professional and caring that you feel relaxed and in good hands. My experience with Dr. Ellis is very pleasant. I've had several treatments at GentleStar and the results have been amazing. My face looks great and I've received lots of compliments! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is wonderful. These guys are a perfect 10! I was dragged in to Gentle Star by a friend who was having a complimentary consult. I never thought I would utilize services at a med spa, but I was impressed with Dr Ellis's knowledgeability, candor, kindness and willingness to introduce me to some of their product offerings with no strings attached. My skin has never looked/felt better and these guys go well beyond the call of duty, standing by every purchase and service with genuine interest in your ultimate wellbeing. The service and staff at Gentle Med are truly spectacular. After my girlfriend had an outstanding experience, I went in for an assessment. Craig and Dr. Ellis were extremely helpful (and NOT pushy at the slightest for those who fear that). Nikko at the front desk is always exremely friendly and helpful. After a combination of microdermabrasion and some recommended products, my face/complexion has never looked or felt better!!! Best of all... My girlfriend thinks I look good. The wonderful staff at Gentle Star truly know how to work with Asian skin. Asian skin reacts differently to the elements and scaring when compared to skin types of other ethnicities. I am so glad to have found a professional establishment where the staff truly understand my needs. I spent my saturday with Craig at Gentle Star for a deep pore facial. The name Gentle Star does suit them perfectly. Craig gave me the most non-painful extractions I have ever had in my life. I barely felt a thing and the outcome is beyond words. Craig is very patient and is passoionate about what my concerns were. He even extracted behind my ears, which was a nice surpise. No other esthetician that I have been to even came close to that area. Nikko @ the front desk is also very professional and has a great personality. When I first called Gentle Star med spa, I knew this place was different. Craig, the lead medical esthetician, answered my call and spent a good 20 minutes answering all my questions. When I booked my facial, he spent a good 2 hours cleaning out every pore on my face and another extra hour going over my recommended regime. This place really cares about beautifying your skin and educating their patients. I have seen dramatic results in my skin after consulting with Craig. Nikko, the receptionist, is incredibly personable and friendly. Although the decor is plush and trendy, this is not your typical day spa where they rub useless masks and creams on your face, Gentle Star really gets down to the root problem of your skin and you will see results. more

I've had the opportunity to sample facials in a number of settings from the highest end pampering to the no frills, get-the-job-done facials. Gentle Star and Craig Shisido are the perfect combination. There is a comfort level at Gentle Star, and a personal service that is difficult to find in many environments these days. Craig is clearly skilled and knowledgeable about his craft. He cleaned every pore on my face individually...I left there, not puffy and red as might be expected, but with firm, clean, radiant skin. Nikko is a dream...sincerely friendly. The only reason I don't give Gentle Star a 10 at this point is because I haven't had the good fortune to experience all of their services. They're fantastic. Stepping into the the spa you feel relaxed by the ambience which consists of great decor and soothing music. Got greeted immediately by the front staff Niko (sp?) who was extremely friendly and easy going which help put you at ease immediately. Craig was very patient with me while doing my facial and extractions, not once getting annoyed when I was squealing (I'm a wimp). He explained everything he was doing and help devised a plan for a road to better skin. Afterwards Craig and Dr. Ellis help chose which products would help my skin and how it worked. They also let me know that I can come back for the products at a later date. Definitely no sales pressure here. Finally, after purchasing what I wanted and making another appointment, I was escorted out to the front by Niko which was a very nice gesture. I am definitely coming back and would suggest you come here if you want to experience what it really means when you're being catered to. i spent a sublime 90 minutes at gentle star, for a facial and micro-dermabrasion. it was my first try with these new medical rejuvenation technologies and i was a little apprehensive. from the moment i entered this beautiful space (quite unlike what would typically call to mind with any ""medical"" facility) i was put at ease. muted colors, calming mood lighting, downbeat music piped throughout... and then the wonderful young man that manages the front desk nikko! so friendly and personable, i felt like a family member by the time i was ushered into one of the private treatment rooms. with the lovely music and kindness (or should i say GENTLEness) of the staff i was ready for whatever this treatment would be like. wrapped in a warm throw (to make you cozy in the air conditioned environment), i drifted off under the touch of craig's (co-owner and medical aestician) fingertips. his touch is truly gentle and relaxing. he quietly explained everything that he was doing, and regularly inquired to make sure that i was doing alright. towards the end of my treatment dr. ellis (co-owner) even dropped in, further reinforcing the knowledge that you are in good hands here. at the end of it all, i looked GREAT, felt refreshed and relaxed, and left knowing that i would be back soon. Dr. Ellis's and Craig's technical competencies are only exceeded by the warm and relaxing atmoshpere of the salon and the care they shower on the client. Treatments are explained in laymen's language which is greatly appreciated by this newcomer. Never rushed and always consistent, my experiences have always been first rate.
