Genie Car Wash

I have been going to this genie wash for several years. The quality of service is good but the management needs training. I get two vehicles ""Hand washed"" about 40 washes a year at $24 a pop. Yesterday it rained and for the first time ever I brought my vehicle in to get the ""rain"" check free wash. The manager said I could only get the normal regular wash free, not the hand wash. That did not set well with me. I mentioned that I am a regular..... which he knows and that he should make an exception. No way.... that was the policy and too bad. I told him if he did not change his mind he would loose my bussiness. Oh well, too bad. I will not be back. He is lucky I am not his boss...... he turned a regular year round customer away because he did not use his managerial authority to keep a customer. I would terminate this guy and remind my employees that keeping customers....especially year rounders is how we stay in bussiness. more

Not normally the kind of person to post online but after today, I couldn?t help myself. I have always been a ?Quickie at the gas station car wash? kinda girl. My car always looked ok, so I was happy. Well today I stopped in, as I got a new job around the corner and didn?t have anything to do at lunch. From start to finish the folks at Genie were AMAZING! They took care of my car, I got to use wireless while I sat there, they got me when my car was done, and I don?t ever remember it looking this good. I have to say, I will be back every other week on my lunch hour. Never will I be a ?Cheap gas station car wash girl? again. Annabell more

Stopped in for a quick wash yesterday and I have to say fantastic job. On my way out the guy let me know that if it rains over the next few days I get a rain check. I normally use Scrub N' Suds but they don't give out rain checks. I was pleasantly surprised. Keep up the good work boys! more

My father in law lives around the corner and has been going there for years. Normally he waits inside while everything is getting done. This time, he stood by the window just to look outside and watched as the car came from being washed. He paid for the works-which includes waxing. He watched as the workers wiped/dried the car with towels as it left the wash. He asked to speak to the manager and explained that is not what he thought he was paying for. When you wax a car (to protect from the az sun) he expected an actual waxing. The manager argued with him, they went into the backroom where the surveillance cameras where to replay and the workers did not even dry/""wax "" the entire vehicle. The manager got very aggressive with my older father in law and said the wax was an, ""applicator."" Even with an applicator the workers should have wiped the entire vehicle down when they were finished. He has gone to this place for over ten years and owns 3 vehicles. He was very disappointed and angered. He also questioned if they have been changing the oil like he has been paying for the last 10 years. Terrible experience, terrible customer service, terrible resolution, terrible professional demeanor attitude. more

It was a nice day yesterday so I figured I would get my car washed. I had driven by a few times and figured the place looked as good as any other. The boys at Genie took care of my car, great job! I was surprised how good my car looks for how cheap the prices were. No doubt I get my car washed there from now on. more

After the rains this weekend I figured I would stop in for a quick wash. I have to say, my car has never looked better. Went to the Renaissance Festival this weekend and my car was covered in mud and dust. The rain of course turned the little dust into more mud. I thought it would take a couple of washes to get that all off so I stopped into Genie. I figured, let them do most of the work and I would finish off the details. But they took care of it all. I highly recommend going to this place folks, I was pleasantly surprised, I?m sure you will be to. more

I very rarely complain like this, but I have had 2 different situations like this and wanted to pass along the word. The last time I took my van in for a detail my rugs were put back in and one of them was torn badly. When i brought it to the managers attention, I was told basically that they didn't do it. Well, if it wasn't like that before, and it is now...I would say accident or not it was done by their workers. This time we had some items that were in the van go missing afterwards, I was told that if there was anything ""valuable"" left in the car it was at my own risk. These weren't necessarily valuable, but they were MINE. And they were in the van when I dropped it off, and were not when I picked it up. Again I was basically told ""deal with it"". My wife and I had an exceptionally bad experience with these goons today. It had been a couple of years since we'd used them, but at that earlier time the service was polite and efficient. Today was completely different. A simple trip for an oil change and (supposedly) included car wash turned into a lesson in how not to do business. My wife spent the entire time she was there defending herself from overly aggressive sales behavior and subsequent price gouging. Who in the world do these people think they are? God's gift to auto service? Not on your life. We will vote with our feet and never darken their door again. Pros: None that I could find... Cons: Super duper hard sell on accessories! more

We have been going to this car wash since Vito first opened it and through several owners before Genie purchased it. While the car wash itself has always been good, we have found the personnel to be increasingly aggressive over the past 5 years. They always try to sell peripheral services such as new windshields while waiting in line, even if you don't need them. Today they were pushing windshield wipers. After my husband had to say 'no' for the third time to different salespeople, he became angry and left exasperated. As he left, he noticed the young man was laughing at him. They seemed to think it was funny to harass senior citizens. I called and the manager defended his employee and their practices. It's too bad the management of this wash is ruining a good facility and location with poor training and attitudes. Pros: good location/ good wash equipment Cons: management and personnel more

obviously, the owners wrote any good reviews about this carwash. i took my vehicle there and recieved a far less than average carwash. i came in 15 min. before the wash was to close and they said that they could not do the oil change due to the fact that they had already cleaned the oil pit. what type of carwash would refuse service while still open. the wash itself still took 40 min and they missed everything. by the way, i don't feel presure at all at danny's and how funny is it that they mention danny's. danny sold one of their locations to them in scottsdale and it sounds like they are trying to drum up some buisness Cons: everything is a con more

Two words, DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL, from the moment I arrived until the time I drove away. I was greeted by some creepy dude who totally googles and hits on me, then promises to have my vehicle detailed in an hour to an hour and a half. Almost three hours later, I get keys to my greese smug covered car. During the three hours I see employees use profanity, take $ from the cash register, complain about not getting some raise, and speak to one anouther about me in spanish (assuming I suppose that I do not understand). After getting lines from different employees and managment about how they had cars break down, or I wasn't actually told an hour and must be confused, I asked for the owner and was refused any contact info. I tell a few friends and neighbors and get all kinds of similar storys. It's worth the drive to go anywhere else. Pros: non Cons: dishonest more

GENIE CARWASH, has 2 locations in Arizona, and several others in California, (as of July, 21 2007) Before, this location was a place where customers were harassed left and right, but now, NO MEANS NO. They offer the same services as Danny's (and more!) and the majority of there products and services are cheaper. Some notable things that are cheaper are there annual cards (knows as ""family cards"" at danny's, its unlimited washes for 1 year) by almost $100!!! I highly recommend this place over any of the nearby Danny's locations. You just cant beat the small business attention they give to each and every individual customer. I recommend this site over ANY OTHER CARWASH IN MESA. I drive all the way from Gilbert to get my car washed there. Pros: Clean C Store; Great Customer Service; 48 hour rain checks more
