BAD EXPERIENCE, NO FOLLOW UP FROM GPR 9/1/2009

First off GPR must have contracted out a lady that represented ""Treasures in the Attic"". When the idea of old-fashioned photos was presented to parents at Little Tyke , parents were excited about the idea. GPR argued that demographically the clientel at the Little Tyke in North Richland Hills, TX was 'too poor' and wouldn't pay for pix, which was an unresearched assumption as parents have paid for pix in the past! And from what I hear, there was a large turnout at this daycare. First off we paid ""BEFORE"" getting them, ""packages"" were steep and that includes ones so called 'marked down/on sale'. I spent over $200 and they not only took the max amt of delivery time, but when they were handed out, my child was mislabled and we were unable to locate the cd that copyright was released to me as part of my pkg due to GPR mislabeling/confusing orders. This is a very unorganized co. I also have yet to receive my matted and framed portrait I already paid for. This is nothing, read on. So many parents were unhappy, the director of the daycare takes it upon herself to call and complain on behalf of everyone including herself bc her pix were such poor quality for the $. Some poses of her kids were not centered , darker shades that others and extremely blurry and unprofessional. Some parents reviewed their free pkg and received more than what was advertised, some stated out loud that the wrong pose was used for the larger pix. Mine were of poor quality, blurry and fuzzy in resolution and none were centered. In fact, of the same pose, one side of my child's body was showing more than the other copy. Does this make sense? The customer service rep at GPR told the daycare dir that they will not take a mass complaint, and that ""the rest of the parents probably wouldn't notice because our director just had a really good eye"". You don't have to be a professional photog to know these could have been better developed at a local Walgreens! Not one parent has recieved a return call, I've left 1 message every day since 8/28/09 and no return phone call yet. I expect compensation or redevelopment of these and I want everything I paid for. I have yet to receive all items. Worst experience ever, please do NOT waste your money or TIME!!! Pros: there were none Cons: read body of message more

Completely Horrible Company 7/8/2009

A local company used GPR to raise funds for Relay For Life (American Cancer Society). GPR told the company that a photographer would be there for 4 days where customers could book any of those days. In very fine print, that doesn't even come out if you get a faxed copy of the contract, it says that they only come out for as many bookings as were sold. I can understand this, but they truly led these people to believe it would be over the course of four days. When the company complained becasue the only day they would come was over a holiday weekend, GPR told them ""Don't worry. People won't want there money back. It's for charity."" HOW HORRIBLE!!! Well the company came down on the scheduled day and then said sorry we can't do it here the space is not adequate. They said they would call and reschedule, but never did. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! mixed feelings-overall postive 6/1/2009

we had not planned on buying more than the 10 dollar package of pictures. the photographer done a great job with my little one and so i bought nearly 300 dollars worth of pictures. the 300 dollars did include custom framing and matting. i did not feel any pressure from the company to buy but i did feel a little bit rushed. after the photo shoot someone else helps you order your pictures and we had to wait for the family in front of us to get done ordering and my little one was getting tired and wanted to leave. we were told when we ordered that the pictures would take 6 weeks to arrive. mine didnt arrive by week 6 so i started calling the company and got the message to leave my info and they would call back. i really thought no one would call me back but after a week of trying i did finally get a call back. the lady was very very very very nice and we figured everything out. my pictures finally arrived and they were beautiful. the only problem is i did ask for color pictures and received the sephia brown color.however. i did receive a cd of every picture took of my little one and they were all in color.overall i wish it would have been cheaper and got here a lot sooner but other than that i am pleased with my purchase. Many Unhappy Customers! 5/11/2009

Our Mom bought the $10.00 coupons for each family in her family. She wanted the grandma's attic pictures of her grandchildren. The giftcard and brochure we received did not state that the first picture they snap (no exceptions) is what you get. They just snaped the first one, it didn't matter if the kids were looking, posed and much less smiling! Then the rest of the pictures turned out good. So unless you plan to spend $99.00 - $300.00 dollars they are very rude! Not to metion the fact that the customer service stinks too. Apparently they do not care if customers are pleased! Also since we were not willing to buy a big package they only gave us half as many pictures as the coupon we bought listed. These were done at a local church and we are going to make sure the rest of the churches in this area knows it is a SCAM! Pros: None! Cons: Rude salespeople, rude customer service!!! more

Not what I paid for. 3/26/2009

Purchased CD of photos. Photos had black spots on CD. Contacted company and told I would have to edit myself. Company did not correct problem after being contacted. Company did not edit photos or resend corrected CD after being requested. Would not recommend!!! Cons: Did not correct problem. more

I would not recommend General Photographics to any of my family or friends. They were very over priced photos and the sales woman was very 'pushy'. The photographer rushed through taking the pictures of my child. They did not come out looking that great. Very unsatisfied and still they have no guaranty or I wouldn?t' be so upset! Rip Off Company 1/7/2009

The prices are way to high. The salesperson was very pushie when the parents said they did not like the pose. They would not let them pick out what the free poise that they wanted. The photographier was awful; he was not good with young children at all. The sales were way down compared to the last time they came to the center. There was only three types of wood you could choose from for the frames. They were really over priced and almost none of the children's pictures were worth buying due to the poor quality of photgraphy. Very unhappy with the whole company in its self. I do not recommend this company to anyone. They will not ever be back in our center. Cons: Too expensive, No cute photo shots. Children looked scared to death due to photgrapher lack of experience with children. more

NOT RECOMMENDED 11/29/2008

I'm very upsed with this people. They didn't send me all the pictures they supposed to send me plus i ask for the pictures to be black and white and they send them full color. I left a message a couple times and nobody call back.I don't recommended them, I will preffer to go to Waltmar before I go with them again. more

Un-reliable 11/14/2008

After nearly 8 weeks of waiting on over $300 dollars worth of pictures I began trying to call the company to inquire why they were taking longer than the 4 weeks promised. You NEVER get a hold of a representative, only a recording. With them never calling back as promised in the recording I finally started asking around about other peoples pictures....the smaller (or general) packages have been delivered (or at least to those I have talked to) but DOZENS of us who ordered hundreds of dollars worth of pictures have not received anything....only a 4 that I know of have been lucky enough to even get a call back. 3 were informed their pictures were lost but not offered any hope of ever seeing them OR of getting a refund (THEY DO NOT REFUND UNDER ANY TERMS). And the 4th person was told her package was completely destroyed when sent from the printers to the framers (even though only 2 photos were to be framed) and told her they HOPED to get them reprinted this week. :( But she is already well aware she probably will never see them and a bunch of parents are talking about seeing if a joint legal complaint will at least get their money back. Please if your looking for a fund raiser do not use this site. Trust me, my school has a bunch of very angry parents and teachers to deal with right now. I myself am a single mother and certainly can not afford to GIVE AWAY $300 and receive nothing in return. I HAVE NEVER WROTE A REVIEW (much less a negative one) before in my LIFE. That is how seriously this company WILL rip you off. Pros: The photographer's were very nice. Cons: No pictures, NO REFUNDS, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE more

We feel that the event was a great success.. OVer 200 Children were photographed in 4 days. The Chattooga County Relay will benefit from this fundraiser with approximately $4000 going to the event to help fight cancer. more

Funds Lost 9/2/2008

We decided to go with GPR to fundraise for my cheerleaders. GPR misrepresented information to consumers when making appointments. We were promised bonuses. We sold 67, they made appointements for 37 and said they would come back on July 12th. (a Saturday) I showed up at school during my summer vacation and spent 3 hours waiting on them. They say ""it was never confirmed."" I didn't pull the date out of a hat. It was confirmed. The girl that handled everything no longer works there- Go figure! Cons: Rude management. Misrepresentation of facts on numerous accounts. more

RUDE 5/28/2008

My daughter's pictures were taken in March at daycare. These pictures were to be her ""2yr"" pictures. When I went to view the pictures, the staff were almost 2 hours behind for the appointment. The staff also were rude, impersonal, and very unprofessional. Stating comments such as ""let's get to the bottom line, how much are you willing to spend."" After several parents complained, we were told that there would be free proofs for the parents who called and requested them. I spoke with their Customer Service Manager who stated that they would send me the proofs. After over 8 weeks, I called the Customer Service Manager again to follow up with the status of the proof. At that time I was told that 1) the ""proofs"" that we spoke of were black and white xerox copies--not the colored copies that were promised. 2) I was told that they were shipped out already several weeks ago. I informed her that I didn't receive anything from her company. She proceeded to loudly and very rudely tell me how I was wrong. She was talking so loudly that several of my co-workers could hear her several feet away. Everyone in the room that heard her were blown away that the CSM would speak to anyone so rudely. I will never deal with this company again. I didn't like the poses, quality, or background. I am really disappointed. They also use the name ""Putting on the Ritz"" more

Great ""out of the studio"" pictures 12/17/2007

I absolutely love the pictures that were taken of my children. I spent a little more than I had anticipated because I wanted the framed wall potrait and was a little disappointed in the quality of the frame. The matting was exceptional but the frame was an acrylic type with a plastic front instead of glass. But, all-in-all, I am very satisfied and would recommend GPR to my friends and family. Pros: beautiful pictures, friendly photographer, nice props, variety of poses Cons: had to pay more to get more than just a few pictures, frame not high quality more
