Upon arrival, I placed the call to my point of contact. He initially asked for my information for verification purposes but then asked if I could call him back in 5 minutes, which I thought was very odd. I called back in 5 minutes and he asked if I could call back again. I immediately found myself getting upset because I had driven a long way and was ready to check into my room and relax for a while, yet the person who's responsible for checking me in keeps telling me to call him back. After the second ""call back"" occurrence I went to the apartment gate and asked for help; showed them my confirmation number and told them I booked the room through Gemstone. He called someone (whom I later found out was the same person who kept telling me to call him back) and he came down to meet us. Once we officially met, he told us the room was not ready and asked if we could give him two hours to clean it. (Check in was supposed to be at 2pm.) At this point, we had no choice, so we waited. Once I got the call back and we were all checked in, I thought, this place is really nice. NOT! We were only given two wash clothes (for a two bedroom, two bath condo), no hand soap for either bathroom, sheets had hair all over them, the couch was stained, the dishes were DIRTY (pans had burnt plastic on them), dirty knives (food was stuck onto the knife) were placed inside of the knife rack, no garbage can in the kitchen, and one of the kitchen drawers was broken. With all that I've listed above, we were unable to use the kitchen beyond the microwave to warm up our leftovers.
