Gem Property Management

I've been renting from Gem for about two years and they are extremely nice, professional and fair. I really recommend their properties for students and folks on a tight budget. more

I have been renting from Gem for almost 3 years now, and we've become like family. I must say that they are some of the nicest people I've been associated with. If I have had any trouble with the apartment they have have responded almost immediately. Renter / tenant relationships are a two-way street, though - respect thier property and they will respect you. I'm very happy with Gem.\r more

I've been renting for almost a year now & they have been more than nice. You are even able to pay your rent with a credit card. So when things are tight there's always a way. I even locked myself out of my apartment and so in the middle of the night they had someone come and open the door for me. I remember I was short for time and I needed an apartment in a hurry and they showed me 7 apartments in one day. It was even supposed to be there day off. If I had to pay rent then I would want it to be with Gem.\r more

First of all these people show you apartments that are VERY clean.All I had to do was move in without having to clean someone elses mess. Everything works and is in very good condition when you move in.If something goes wrong they are always a phone call away.They call you back right away. They do their best too accommodate their tenants They don't blow you off if you need something. Their apartments were the BEST I saw when I was looking around BY FAR for the price. Their prices are very reasonable. Most have heat included and you have your own thermostadt. They don't try to rip you off and charge you too much. The people in the office are real human and very nice to deal with. They never make you feel like your just a number. I only moved because I bought a house of my own.I lived in one of their apartments for 5 years. Would I rent from them again? Of course! I'd send them family members.\r more

I have been living in one of the properties managed by Gem for almost 4 years and we have had a great relationship as landlord and tenant. I have always found it easy and friendly working with Joan and the office staff, and they have been supportive and helpful with some of the things I wanted to do to make my apartment more comfortable for me over the last few years. I think working with a property management company is a two-way street and have tried to be helpful on my part to maintain the property and keep things clean and attractive. Communication with them has always been easy and they have always responded in a timely, if not immediate, manor. I am looking to stay here for awhile and I know I can expect the same friendly relationship I have experienced since day one. \r more

I rent my apartment from this company as do many Rhode Islanders as they own over 100 buildings in the state.\r When looking for a new place I knew I had to move fast and my dad just so happened to stumble across this company. They were very flexible and sent someone out on a saturday to look at a couple places I might be interested in.\r I found somewhere I really liked in my price range and was moved in about a week. Everything was hassle free and Joan really made everything easy to understand and catered to my needs.\r I think the best part about renting from them is the fact that they allow you to transition to a different apartment that they own before the end of your lease if you so choose. This is a great advantage if you find that you don't like the area or if you need to relocate for a job or you just want a change.\r I have only had one issue in the apartment with the toilet. I called Joan in the morning before work and it was fixed before I even got home. \r Even if at the end of the lease I decided to move it is likely I would first look at the apartments they had available because I know any issues I have will be easily resolved. more
