Gardens

After having rented for five years (I think we both were resisting being ""Floridians"" or ""Snow Birds"", too many ""old people"", my wife and I finally decided to buy in the Gardens. We looked at other parks in the area thinking we might get more bang for the buck, but we kept comparing them to our experiences as renters in The Gardens, and, well, they all came up short.\r \r This place is beyond all of our expectations. The Clubhouse ... WOW! The landscaping ... ditto ... the friends we've made, and our neighbors ... TERRIFIC! We do so much more here than we ever did in Minnesota in the winters ( the five-month-long winters.) Who knew there were so many Euchre players in one area? (and now they have bid euchre!) A first rate place to live. My only thought about the detractors is that they had bad credit or criminal records. I'm GLAD the management screens out the ""weeds"" because it makes everyone more secure knowing they have retired to a safe area.\r \r And! The office staff and the managers are the very definition of accommodating, a class act all round, truly. Lori could run for Mayor of Parrish and win!!! Very open about every step involved in finally buying in the Gardens, something we should have done after the first year we rented. We love this place, as do our grandchildren who love the beaches AND going to Disney World with Gammy and Gumps. What are you waiting for? Come on down! more

HI.. I currently live here. The negative posts below are from a selected grp of folks. They complain when it rains, they complain when it's sunny. They complain about the wildlife in our park.. You get the Idea. The current owner has kept this place in tip top shape of course with the help of the residents. Best place to live in the area. more

The Gardens is the best community of it's kind in the area. Grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained. Totally refurbished clubhouse with great facilities and lots of activities. Great people. Management is very particular that residents maintain properties and comply with community rules. All residents (whether owners or renters) must be pre-qualified. Obviously the negative reviews come from persons who did not make the grade. As a homeowner, I am totally satisfied that management continues to maintain a high standard. more

We bought and had approval in 48 hours in April 2012....No problem from management or HOA. more

Beware of 221 Hibiscus Way. Management is collecting $80 for background checks and denying them because they want to take over this property. Don't waste your hard earned money, it is non-refundable. more

The gardens is trying to take over owners trailers, not allowing to sell. Sellers are very mad at management. Beware of the gardens. Yes, Believe the bad reviews more

Beware of The Gardens. Management is withholding sales of owners trailers because they want to takeover the park. This place is HOA management gone wild. Don't waste your money on getting a background check, because it's not refundable. As other said, Stay very far away from this place. more

I tried buying in here and management is playing hardball with owners and prospective buyers. Stole money from me for a background check, If it even was done. Management is trying to take over trailers right out from the owners hands. This is considered illegal in my book. And they won't give prospective buyers the time of day. Don't waste your time or hard earned money looking here the management is way to toxic. more

I visited The Gardens last summer 2010.\r It sounds like ""juser at Citysearch is either too cheep or \r too poor to live in the Gardens!! It is a GREAT Place. more

The Gardens is a great place to live. We have been here 3+ years and have had no issues with management. The grounds are beautiful, we have a newly renovated club house with a state of the art exercise room. We have events every month, multiple ones in the winter months, outside trips, great dinners and super neighbors. more

Snotty, stuck up and ingnorant managers refuse to talk to perspective residents. All properties in The Gardens are overpriced.\r If you don't believe me, take the chance to check it out for yourself. YOU WILL BE SORRY !!!!! Cons: EVERYTHING more
