Quality Work and Quality Service 4/5/2013

Jason Wade and the rest of the staff at Frisco Automotive have been nothing but hard workers who offer a more than fair price in my experience. You can tell the quality of their business because it always seems like their parking lot is packed with customers! Even though they have heavy workloads, I've always been impressed with the speed and quality of their service.\r \r You can't go wrong with Frisco Automotive more

Quality work leads to satisfied customer 11/28/2011

I discovered Frisco Automotive on the AAA approved repair facility list when I was looking for an auto repair place close to home. I am so glad I gave them a try. They have been my repair facility for the past 3 years. I am a single female & they NEVER try to sell me anything I don't need. I had my struts done 4 years ago at Sears & had to take my car back 3 times & they still could not figure out what that popping noise was. I just had them replaced by Frisco Automotive & they got it right the FIRST time. I called Huffines in Plano to ck prices & the front struts alone & learned they would have charged $35 more per front strut w/a quote front struts alone was $900. I needed inner tie rod bushings. FRISCO Automotive did those too after I had been to Firestone complaining my front end felt loose. Friestone did a front end alighnment & told my my tie rods were find. When the alignment did not hold, they still did not find the inner tie rod bushings needed repalced. By the time I got the car to Frisco Automotive, there were no bushings left. Now my front end is tight & steering feels secure again. I called the dealer on that to learn I saved almost $200 by going to Frisco Automotive. Let me also mention because they are a AAA approved facility, if you are a AAA member, you get a 10% discount up to $50. This discount has more than paid for my AAA membership and I get a warranty on the repairs from a shop that DOES IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. I have NEVER had to take my car back because the repairs are not right - NEVER. So I know they aren't perfect for everyone but I will sing their praises & recommend this shop to anyone/everyone as for me they have been a great shop. more

Be an Informed Buyer 2/19/2010

In response to Jason's side of the story to TM from Van Alstyne (correct spelling). Most mechanics warranty their work. No one asked him to warranty a used car, just the repairs done by Frisco Automotive and Transmission, which he was all too happy to do at the time. He changed the timing belt, but we have discovered pre-existing damage, that he knew about and that we could not have seen unless it was taken apart. Jason never mentioned the pre-existing damage done to the engine when the first timing belt was not changed. (Wouldn't you want to know?) He masked more serious issues which explains why he was not forthcoming with the original owners contact information (the name on the title). He was selling a vehicle for someone else. The facts come down to one thing, covering up, hiding and selling a car that needed a new engine. It would have been nice to have received ALL the facts concerning this car. We could have made an informed decision. We could have decided if it was i more

Response to TM 2/2/2010

In response to TM, VanAylsten, Tx; theres always more to the storey than posted on the Internet....TM did purchase a used car--key word used, was told up front that we could not warranty a 14 year old car, (would you?) but we let their independent ASE certified technician perform a prepurchase inspection and very long road test, We even put it up on our lift so he could get a good look underneath. TM decided to purchased the vehicle based on all the facts, nothing was withheld from him/her before car was purchased. Sorry their teenager is having mechanical problems with the car.-Jason more

Frisco Automotive & Transmission is NOT to be trusted 12/15/2009

BEWARE of their used car sales department. Jason sold us a 96 Honda and we went with him based on the reviews listed here. It was a mistake. This car has been in the shop 4 times since we purchased it in October. We were promised a list of the repairs made and never received it. We found out today the reason it uses so much oil is due to the fact that it needs valve guide seals. On top of that the so called repairs that were done by Frisco Automotive have since had to be reworked. They gladly took our cash but refuse to return calls and e-mails. Never purchase a vehilce from someone who is selling for someone else. We requested but were never given the number to the owners of the Honda. This in fact is illegal, as we have recently discovered. Use caution! more

Frisco Automotive & Transmission is Honest & Does Great Work 8/28/2009

I brought my 1991 Olds in and it was running very poorly. The gas fumes were bad enough to make you sick. The guys at the front desk told me how much it would cost for the diagnostic and then they would call me. They called several hours later and said that the fuel pump regulator and the #5 multiport injector were bad. They gave me a price for the work and I told them I would call them back. I called a dealers service department and went over the problem and the parts to fix it and their price was just a bit higher than Frisco Automotive. So we went ahead and had FA&T do the work and they called at 5 pm that day and told me that the Olds was ready! We picked it up the next morning and that V-6 ran like it was brand new. Thanks to the staff at Frisco Automotive & Transmission for the well done work! more

Nice guys,..but 10/31/2006

Very nice people, but their prices are way up there.. I decided to call the local dealership to get a quote on a repair and the dealerships quote was $300.00 less than Frisco Automotive and then out of curiosity I decided to ask the dealership for a quote on some previous work done by Frisco Automotive. The result was if I had taken it to the dealership instead I would have saved another $200.00. \r Don?t get me wrong they do decent work, but to be higher than a dealership to me that speaks volumes.. PROS: Really nice guys, they find lots of things that need repair CONS: Charges more than a dealer for decent work. Almost sounds arrogant.. more

Left after paying a big chunk of money and stalled out 3 miles down the road. Drove to the nearest place and they found the problem quick PROS: close by location CONS: not too knowledgable about cars more
