I couldn't have been more pleased with the treatment & detailing by Fresh Start. From beginning to end, courtesy, professionalism, quality & thorough work was apparent. I researched multiple local detailing businesses and after reading worrisome, even appalling reviews, I found multiple positive reviews for Fresh Start. Their website helped as well, with clear services listed & a realistic, proactive business model that I really appreciated. Jason & the team did a wonderful job, and there wasn't anything overlooked. After 2 messy kids, a yellow lab who sheds, and a driver who never cleans the car, my ride looked pristine. It was amazing! When I went to pick up my car, a bird had just left me a present on the roof, and as soon as it was seen, Jason immediately grabbed a clean towel & cleaner and took care of that as well. The bonus for me was inexpensive loaner cars (a BMW!!!), and flexible drop off & pickup. I'll certainly be referring friends & family to Fresh Start, and using them in the future. Highly recommend them! more

I took my truck to Fresh Start to have the engine steam cleaned prior to service work to chase an oil leak. Their work was just what I needed but when I picked up the truck and started it all the warning lights came on and there was a lingering smell of burning electrical components coming from the engine compartment. Jason discussed how rare this was and my options. I was already taking it to have it serviced so I limped it over to the shop disgusted and disappointed but with a clean engine. They identified that water had gotten in the alternator during the cleaning and fried it. Before I could even call Jason he was on the phone calling me to check if I'd found out what happened. He asked for the name and number of the shop and he called them and paid for replacement of the alternator !!!!! Not just for a new one but for the service time to replace it too. Needless to say this cost more than I had even paid for the engine cleaning. Pros: null Cons: null more

Extremely high quality work 9/29/2009

Fresh Start did a wonderful detail job on my '99 Miata yesterday. The many scratches and dings on the hood and bumpers from years of enjoyment are barely noticeable now, and I had no idea my wheels could be so shiny! The interior is spotless. I thought I kept a pretty clean car, but I was embarrassed to see how much stuff they found underneath and behind the seats. more

EXCELLENT & THANKS, Jason & crew!!! My '99 Toyota Camry needed it I guess! Having dumped an entire Peet's coffee (a freshly made French press cuppa French roast, and I hadn't even sipped it yet!) on my front passenger seat on a Sunday, I called Jason Monday a.m. Turned out he couldn't take in the car until Wednesday 1st thing - IF I wanted the $ 5.00 Beemer, his $5 car(s) were booked until Wed. He explained what needed to be done, wouldn't state for sure the coffee smell or stains could be 100% removed, especially if we waited another couple days, but he felt nearly fully confident. When I arrived at opening time, he looked it over and felt better about the job. He quoted the same $ 118.00 he had on the phone. And they would do the entire carpet and seats, possibly taking the RF seat out to best get at all the problem. He explained, too, the deep enzyme process to get the coffee smell gone for good. (Yeah, maybe I want that smell back!!) I asked him to look at the tree sap spot more

Impressed! 2/26/2009

I brought my black 528i to Fresh Start last week and am totally happy with the job they did, thought it was a fair price. My intent was to get it cleaned up and sell it but they made it look so nice I fell in love with it all over again and am keeping it. I will be bringing my wifes car to them next. more

Jason and his crew at Fresh Start Detail are awesome! The work they performed during my first visit turned out better than I expected. I'm also very pleased with the 2nd service they recently completed, which consisted of a thorough cleaning / waxing inside and out. I strongly recommend FSD! more

They were absolutely the best. They were timely, maintained solid consistent communication, and took a sincere interest in my concerns and commetns about the quality of service I expected to recieve. When my car detail was finished, they mey all my expectations and more. The quality of work was unparalleled, cone just ahead of time, and better than I could have imagined. Pros: Pircing, Quality of Services, Value, and Professionalism Cons: With high quality comes a busy business, so visit them during the slower season to make scheduling easier (winter and early spring). more

Excellent and professional service. 8/24/2008

I was about an hour early for my appointment but Jason made time for me and performed my engine steam clean promptly within the hour. The work was complete and thorough. I was very impressed with Fresh Detail's outstanding customer service and quality of work. I'll be back soon for the underside cleaning! Another satisfied customer 8/19/2008

I have a heavily modified Subaru STi that I am very fussy about. I was looking for a detail shop that offered clay bar service and Fresh Start Detail was one of the few that openly advertised it and explained it on their website. I drove into Fresh Start wanting more information, especially concerning the tree sap that was all over my car. Jason explained that clay barring it was the perfect solution and that the car would look and feel like it had never been after the service. To make a long story short, I was completely satisfied with every aspect of my detail including the engine bay and interior that only needed a swiff. Pros: People who care about my car as much as I do Cons: None more

Very friendly and affordable 7/17/2008

Stumbled over this place purely by chance. After talking with Jason a few times got good vibes so I entrusted them to polish the paint out on my Ferrari. I wanted the spider webbing taken out of the paint and he was honest up front and told me that it would be improved, but not completely gone. This would have been a good chance for him to give me a false claim/sales pitch but he was honest and did not do so. He also noticed several flaws in the paint that I had never before noticed. I also figured I'd get a little bit of the "Ferrari price adjustment" but they were very honest and charged me about half of what a normal exotic detailer would charge. When I got the car back the spider webbing can still be seen (as he previously informed me) but was very much improved. The paint finish now beams and has that wet look that I was after. They also made some of the rock chips practically vanish when they corrected some of the terrible touch up paint spots (extra charge for that, but one should already assume this). They waxed the wheels to a condition I have never seen them before. When I was picking up my car I mentioned 1 or 2 TINY things (slight smudge on the clear bra and a drip of water on the door) and Jason jumped into action took care of them without hesitating. Hot Chocolate Spill? No Problem! 6/20/2008

I highly recommend taking your car to Fresh Start Detail Co. They really seem to take pride in the work that they do, and they also seem to sincerely care about what their customer?s needs are. They were able to completely clean up a spill that involved about a third of a tall cup of hot chocolate, and thankfully, they were able to take my car the day that it happened. This place is horrible. I brought my ride in there a couple months ago and they did a terrible job for a high price. Way to high. I could have paid half of what I did somewhere else and my car would have looked a lot better. I got ripped off. How could anyone say this shack did a good job. Go somewhere else unless you like to waste money. Pros: None more

Nodds Review, Beaverton's Community Website 4/24/2008

I was lucky enough to get a tour of their garage and was impressed with all the equipment. Not only did they have a lift in order to bring a car up to eye level, but they had all sorts of machines and devices to clean, buff, polish and wash. From undercarriage protection to a steam-cleaned engine and of course exterior and interior, all could be done right there in their well lighted controlled environment. High quality and professionalism are the norm for the Fresh Start team and this to me was readily apparent. But perhaps the one point that made me happy to hear was that they are DEQ certified and environmentally responsible. Green is good. Pros: service, quality, detailed, professional, friendly Cons: price is a higher but so is quality more

Talk about a Clean Car! 1/15/2008

The team of professionals at Fresh Start Detail Company in Beaverton are second to none when it comes to the best car detailing in town. I took my Acura MDX there last year for a complete detail and talk about making it look, feel and smell like new! I've recommended their services to friends and family since and everyone says how happy there are with the services they provide. Even though I didn't need it, they offer loaner cars - they are even BMWs! So now there are absolutely NO EXCUSES not to give your car the TLC that it needs and deserves. Want to get the new year started on the right foot? Get your car detailed at Fresh Start - you'll thank me! GREAT SERVICE, great value! 12/30/2007

These guys are amazing. A few months ago, I brought them my VW Jetta to detail. They made me so happy, I brought them an even bigger challenge - my teenage daughter's Jetta! They managed to get both Jettas sparkling clean and smelling fresh. So, I recently brought them my new Toyota Prius. They made it "new" again! I have never had better car details than Jason and his crew provide at Fresh Start Detail. They get my highest personal recommendation! Pros: Excellent service, always available by phone, cars were all ready on time! Cons: Can't think of any - you get what you pay for, so why not get the best !? more

DON?T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! 11/26/2007

The owner and I agreed upon $150 for my car to get detailed. I specifically asked him before leaving if I needed to sign anything or pay him upfront. He said no. When I went to pick up my car his employee said my total was $250. He stated that it was weird that his boss did not have me sign the slip that stated the amount because it was standard procedure to do so. I had him call the owner who then told me that there were only two ways to get my car off the lot. My options were to call the police or pay the entire amount. He also stated that he typically has people sign the payment slip before dropping their keys off. Since my mom was standing next to me and was insisting that she would pay for me, I stepped left and paid the amount rather than calling the police. more

Average job, expensive price 5/7/2007

After reading the other reviews, I had high expectations and was looking forward to an excellent job on my 04 Sienna. They mnust have forgotten to do a final check on my van, because there were numerous details overlooked: my wife rubbed our van against a white fence leaving white paint down the side of the van which was buffed out nicely on the rear quarter panel, but not on the chrome strip on the door, the little line of dirt that collects along the tops of the side windows (from putting them up and down) was still dirty, their was still dirt in the glovebox (it had been wiped, but obviously very quickly), there was still sticky residue on the inside of my back window from a sticker (which was cleaned after I pointed it out), a spot under the rear door of the van was still full of sand (I have a dirt driveway - this was also cleaned after I pointed it out), the clips that keep the floor mat in place were missing (they were found in the pocket behind my seat and put back in place after I pointed it out) and other small things. My last detail on the van cost me half as much and I honestly could not tell the difference except that Fresh Start did give me good advice about why nose bras are a bad idea and took mine off and cleaned under it. On the bright side, they were very nice and the loaner car was very convenient. more

These guys offer the best friendly detail service I have ever experienced, the fact that you see them doing other high end vehicles such as BMW/s and Benz's is reassuring.. You know isomeone willing to spend money on expensive cars to have them worked on, the place must be great!! (And it was!!) Pros: Great service, rgeat hnesty, good work and worth money paid!! Exceptional work, Friendly service 1/20/2007

My car was stolen and recovered, TWICE! First time it was recovered and filthy inside and out and it just didnt feel like my comfortable car. I called around to shops and compared prices. This place was on the higher side but the manager took the time to answer my questions and explain the cleaning process and details that were involved in getting all the dirt and filth out so I felt more comfortable and at ease with there shop getting my business. They did such an awesome job that I really felt comfortable again driving my own car! Second time it was stolen the wires to the stereo had been cut causing them to ground out under the backseat and the car went up in black smoke, electrical fire!!! SO...I called up Fresh Start Detail and asked if they were able to get this awful smoke smell out and possibly get me in for another detail..and I took it in and the results were a nice smelling, clean, shiny waxed car and you would never have known that it had gone up in smoke couple days before! These guys are really good, they take pride in there work and it really shows!! Paying a little more and getting ALOT out of this kind of service is the reason I went back the second time. I really recommend them, they truly are the best at there job. I didnt use this service but they do have a loaner car and next time I might just try it out. It's a BMW for heaven sakes! Pros: Loaner cars! Cons: Only one location, wish there were another closer to where I live! more
