I have been having my hair cut and colored (highlights) with Claire for over 20 years. I have followed her from her first salon that she owned in Westport to where she now is, at Fredric's, a clean and cheerful setting. As anyone who highlights their hair knows, it can be a lengthy process, but Claire makes the time fly with her entertaining stories. She treats me, and all her clients, as if they are the most special people on earth. I always get compliments on my color and my cuts. She is very current with the latest styles and you feel that when you leave Claire that you look your best! I highly recommend Claire Simmons at Fredric's! I have been having my hair done at Fredric @ Co. for 7 years and counting. I followed Olga, my Hairdresser from another salon and it was the best decision I made. She is by far and above the Hair Professional I have had. She made a great choice in coming to Fredric @ Co. The owners love and appricate her, just as they do for all of the professionals there. Connie, the owner, is wonderful and very warm, she is always happy to see each and every customer who walks in the door, whether a first time customer or a long standing customer. Joanie, the former owner along with her husband have been there for years. She is great about calling the day before to confirm your appt., which is great, because we are all so busy these days, it's easy to forget. This place has a wonderful family atmosphere, I always feel so welcome by every professional who works for Fredric & Co. The girls in the back give great shampoos, the best in town! Jennie is great. If you want a invigorating shampoo, ask for her! I have recommended Fredric @ Co. to my friends who have become regular customers and will continue to do so! Every Christmas, they put together a great Christmas party, great food and conversation as a way of thanking everyone for their business. Fredric & Co. is a wonderful place!!! Every time I walk in there I feel like I'm at my best friends house!! Connie, the owner, is such a sweet, caring woman who truly LOVES her job. For seven years I have been getting my hair highlighted and cut at Fredrics and I always look forward to my appointments! Kari, my stylist, is amazing....she is a great friend to me besides just being ""someone who cuts my hair."" She is genuinely kind and so easy to talk to (almost like a therapist some days!!) Her fine skills always show in her results with my hair, at least once a month I have some random woman asking me where I get my hair done!!!! We always have a lot of fun laughing and catching up while I'm sitting waiting for my highlights to finish. I highly recommend Fredric's to anyone looking for an easy going salon with happy, friendly staff and prices that are very competitive with other salons in the neighboring areas!!! If you are looking for a fabulous salon experience, look no further that Frederic & Co. in Darien, CT. If you have ever seen the movie Steel Magnolia, you will surely recognize an experience reminiscent of that, here. The staff of talented stylists is sweet and friendly, and I can assure you their laughter will never leave you. While I have had at least a wash and blow dry with all of them, my intimate experiences have been with Nalia and Olga. Nalia is an awesome colorist, but also a lovely, down-to-earth girl who will end up your friend. After being in a near-fatal accident a few years ago, Olga introduced me to extensions. Carefully and tastefully done, I experience my ?Cinderella moment? every time I enter and leave this salon. Having tried two of the finest salons in Fairfield County, Frederic & Co.?s extensions are definitely the better of the two! In addition to their careful application and realness, the extensions are cost-effective, as the salon charges very reasonable rates. Also, if you feel you need to freshen up your makeup look, Elena is a wonderful makeup artist who will give you a new look that you?ll love! Every time you visit the salon, you will be greeted with open arms, a warm cup of coffee and accompanying sweet! (Yum!)
