I purchased furniture from Fred's Furniture. The mirror on the bedroom set was scratched and I asked to have it fixed. It took them more than 5 months to get the repairs going, and then only after I took the mirror to them myself. I also purchased a very expensive leather couch and love seat whose mechanisms to recline broke within two years. I complained to the owner about the cost of having the parts replaced when there should not have been a repair if the furniture would have been worth the money I spent on it. The man had the courage to tell me that I was just babbling on about the broken furniture, and if I could just get to the point of the conversation. Did I or did I not want to have the mechanisms repaired at my cost. I was so furious I just decided that I would put up with the broken recliners, get my mirror, and never do any business with them again. I wished I had read the reviews already on the web about this business, I would definitely never have set one foot in that store. more

We ordered furniture from fred smith in December and it is almost June and we have still not received the furniture. Unbelievably poor customer service. Talk about a slow boat from China...... When we called they weren't aware of the ' problem'. more

Great Service 1/19/2011

I purchased a " Best" recliner from Fred Smith. After about 7 months the mechanism went bad and would not function correctly. I called and Jerry ordered a new part and came out and fixed it at no cost to me. It has since went bad again and Jerry has ordered the part again an is now fixing it. I am about 345 pounds and thats probably some of the cause for the mechanism failing twice. Jerry at Fred Smith Furniture has been more than fair and has done great work on repairing the recliner. I would recommend Fred Smith Furniture to everyone. more

A great store! 8/13/2010

I have had four of five transactions with Fred Smith Furniture and my experiences have been only positive. I recently found a wonderful sofa and chair there that was attractive and of good quality at a very good price. I would recommend the store to anyone looking for friendly service and value. more

Poor Customer Satisfaction 8/8/2009

I bought two BEST recliner chairs from Fred Smith Furniture in Fayetteville. After 6 mos, before the one year warranty was up, one of the recliners began to look matted and slick in place causing the chair to look old and worn. After complaining to Fred Smith Furniture, they picked up the chair for the Rep from Best Furniture to inspect. After several weeks of them holding the chair, I was notified by Fred Smith Furniture that Best did not see anything wrong with the chair and therefore, there was nothing they could do about my chair. I then contacted Best directly via e-mail and after several exchanges of e-mail, I received a letter from Best Furniture stating there was nothing they were willing to do for me. I would not recommend purchasing fabric furniture produced by BEST Furniture and I will never purchase from Fred Smith Furniture in Fayetteville since they did not offer customer satisfaction. more

Reasonable Prices 12/9/2008

I have bought several tables, accent pieces and pictures here.The furniture is limited due to space, but they do carry a lot of the "Hooker" brand which is one of my favorites.Plenty of parking, free deliveries in the Fayetteville area and very courteous sales clerks. . more
