My husband and I are still waiting on our tile. We ordered nearly 3 weeks ago, and they still cannot give us an answer as to when it will come in. They do not call you back at all...

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/3/2013

Went to Floor Depot in Selma was horrible experience. 1st Manager calls me idiot because I can't lay a laminate floor down. I wasn't sure if problem was China made flooring but found flooring made in the USA and it went in perfect like the 4 other floors I have done before. 2nd tells me I have to pay guy in back storage area to unload return and pay him. He was in back doing nothing already being paid to be there. I also had to walk in and look for him to unload returned floor and he gave me attitude as well. I was stunned by the behavior of Management and employees. I will never come back and will tell friends and family not to buy from this Company. more

Excellent Service, Best Prices in Texas 1/19/2010

I am not sure if the store has changed in principle since these other reviews were written, but my experience was outstanding. First, I reside in Houston, TX where I searched every store in town for hardwood flooring, and found a lot of scams. Upon conducting an online search, I found Floor Depot and gave them a call. I was shocked to actually have the owner, Bob, answer the phone. He aided in helping identify the correct flooring, at an unbelievable price. The product he was pushing was an item not listed on the website. He took a pic on the spot, and posted it on the website. As you can imagine, purchasing something that you will be living with for a very long time, site unseen, was a huge leap of faith. Bob assured me that if I did not like the flooring, (or more importantly, if my Wife did not), to send it back for a full refund. He shipped 2,000 sq ft out over night. It arrived, and we were blown a way. What we received was a beautiful Red Oak floor, at a price that was 80% lower than what we found in other stores. I put the floor in myself, over a 2 day period. A week later, I received a follow up call from the owner to make sure I was happy, and the floor was in. Once again, blown away with the service.\r \r i would recommend anyone in Texas to make a stop, either on line, or in person to check this store out. They are providing a level of service, at a price point that is simply not seen anymore.\r Pros: Service is outstanding Cons: They do not have a local store in Houston more

Highly recommend running fast from this store 8/3/2009

Where to really begin, first we stopped by and saw a tile that we liked and wanted to install. I ended up talking to the owner Bob, thinking he was going to give me the best deal, I asked if there was a military discount, he then told me that he would make sure I got the best deal. Later, I came back and asked a different sales associate the cost of the tile, and he then quoted me a third less on the cost. I then brought that up to them and they tried to quickly side step and tell me that it must have just gone on sale that day. Then to add to everything, I am glad that right before I came back to pick up my grout and hardibacker boards that I found out that he was gouging me on those prices also. Not only was he charging me $17.99 for one 3x5 hardibacker, that only costs $9 dollars at Lowes, I then also found that he was overcharging for the Motar and Grout also, both of which he was charging me $17.99 for and I found available at Lowes for only $11 dollars. I canceled the pick up and here it is two weeks later and I am still waiting for my over $100 dollars that is suppose to be refunded back to me. I highly recommend not purchasing from these guys, they will get you for every thing and then on top of all of this, charge you 3% fuel surcharge on top of all of this overpricing. Cons: Where to begin, the owner takes advantage of you more

Cannot recommend 6/30/2009

Where to begin...I read these reviews before buying from these guys...mistake. First, I bought wood and carpet. The wood was delivered and installed within a week....they forget the transitions. A guy just showed up at my door, no phone call, with the transitions in his hand about 2 weeks later, they were too short and he didn't have all the materials. I got the runaround on how they will have to special order these transitions because they are longer than standard. Someone came out and measured so this should not have been a surprise. 1 month later I still have no transitions.\r \r The carpet was on backorder for 3 weeks, they kept saying ""it is scheduled to be here tomorrow."" Well it finally did show up. They came out and installed it...and guess what...they didn't have enough to finish a closet. So, the salesman calls me and says ""it's going to cost us more money to finish your closet...how much are you will to help out with?"" I said, ""ZERO, this should have been taken care of from the beginning."" So now I continue to wait for my transitions to be installed and my closet to be completed. It's been over a month since we put down our initial deposit.\r Pros: Price Cons: Backorder, poor estimate more

Buyer Beware! 10/1/2007

Sir / Ma'am,\r \r First of all, their prices are great. However, what?s the point if the items are on backorder or not available? That's kind of like the $99 plasma TV?s at BestBuy that are never in stock. I've been in line for those for 5 years and counting. \r Anyway, Floor Depot will try to sell you liquidated or closeout items to save you some money, but they do this to increase their profit margin as well. As most flooring dealers run about a 20% profit margin to stay competitive and in stay business. Floor Depot sells a lot of ""cabin grade"" wood floors at near 50% off retail, but to ensure it's acceptable to the average consumer they make you buy 30% more than normal for ""waste"". The average waste rate for 1st quality flooring is 5-10%. In the long run you may save 20% over what you will have spent at a quality and reputable flooring store by the time your merchandise finally arrives. Ask yourself, can you put a price on your time, patience, and peace of mind? \r If so, go with Floor Depot. As for me and my wife, we cannot and will not recommend Floor Depot to anyone we care about.\r Pros: Prices! But any dealer can give a great price on discontinued and closeouts. Cons: Customer Disservice and Backorders seem to be standard operating procedures! more

Slow on shipments and customer service 8/14/2007

My husband and I are still waiting on our tile. We ordered nearly 3 weeks ago, and they still cannot give us an answer as to when it will come in. They do not call you back at all - I have had to call several times, and they act as though it's not a big deal for our order to be delayed. Our original salesperson told us the tile would be in no more than 5 days later - and I just found out she didn't place the order until 4 days after we actually ordered it! Extremely disappointed with their customer service and timeliness! Pros: Good value for flooring Cons: Poor customer service and timeliness more

I am still waiting on my products. Ifeel as though I amgetting the run around. I call all the time and they say Iam still waiting on your shipment. Pros: Good prices Cons: Iam still waiting on my tile for 3 weeks now more

not a customer friendly company after sale is made 10/4/2006

choose your installer wisely and ask many questions but don't let responses insult your intelligence. Floor Depot is EXTREMELY slow in trying to resolve problems, they can make MANY EXCUSES. possibly more comments to follow as ordeal ongoing and issue not resolved. more
