Fix Price Moving

\r \r \r \r We used them last week. They got me in with 3 days notice, at the end of the month, which some of the bigger-name guys wouldn't help me with. They didn't scratch up anything I've noticed yet, including the furniture which they did a great job wrapping it with blankets. They were on-time (actually about 15 minutes early), made an extra stop to pick up an unassembled desk from the realtor's office, and assembled it back for me .\r \r As with all movers, they have lots of extras (boxes, mattress covers, etc.) that they'll gladly charge you for. If you can manage to pack everything yourself, you'll do pretty well, and they don't push any of that stuff on you.\r \r The guy managing the 3-person team was very communicative on the phone in the hour or so leading up to the move, which was great, and the three guys were probably in their late 20's, english-speaking, and totally friendly.\r \r It's nice to fill out their online quote on their website, just to give them an idea of what you'll need them to move, but they don't expect you to stick to it exactly. I had two significant problems with this company. First off, I was told that my pick-up time was a guarunteed pick-up time. However, on my move date, the movers arrived two hours late. Furthermore, the dispatcher attempted to rationalize their company's lateness by expressing that being two hours tardy is the norm in the moving company world. I didn't appreciate this. I was significantly late to work on my move date. My second issue with this company is that they sent their ""top foreman"" to direct my move on my moving date. I had a big problem with the top forman because he didn't speak good English nor could he understand my English. It made me very uncomfortable to have my big move headed by someone that couldn't understand my questions and comments. It is not ok to not be able to communicate with the person who is directing your move. I was extremely uncomfortable with this. I will not use this company again. Instead, I will pay a little more to work with companies that have a better reputation, and hire workers with whom I can communicate with. more

I recently used Fix price moving for my move from San Francisco, ca to Michigan. I have used six different movers in the past eight years because of my work. Unlike in the past, I am paying for this move so i solicited six different moves and settled with fix price moving because the sales person that helped me was down to earth, attentive and gave me a lot of information about the moving process and they have relatively better standing and reputation than the other companies that competed to get my business. On the move date the movers came around eight, wrapped, packed and loaded my three bedroom town house in less than six hours, that was very impressing because usually with the big van lines that i used in the past ,the pack and load takes a day and half or two days. i did most of the packing but still i am very impressed by the efficiency of the movers especially the older Hispanic guy. once they loaded and weighed my staff, i got a call the next day informing me that, my staff weighed 440lbs more(the lead driver told me that my staff might weigh about 1000lbs more so that didn't surprise me) and my furniture is on the way and should be there in 4-5days. that worked out perfect because, i was planning to get there a day before the scheduled delivery date. once my furniture got three, there was no major damages, expect a scratch my dresser which easily can be sanded and my desk was wobbling(i knew it was about time because it seems that the more it gets disassembled the weaker the desk get). I now have finished unpacking every thing and pretty much everything looks OK, expect the two items i mentioned above and two of my ceramic plates were cracked. to summarize, The movers were fast and experienced, my sales agent was responsive and very courteous,operation dept communicated with me in three different occasion to give me updates on my move, the delivery people were nice too. Over all fix price moving did a good job and they deserve a positive feed back Pros: Very good movers and attentive office staff Cons: minor damage, move end up costing few hundred more more

Overall it was a smooth moving experience. there were minor damages here and there but hey i moved 2500 miles and i expected minor scratches. the final bill was about $200 more than my initial quote which is OK. I was very impressed with the movers and was surprised to get my staff in Minnesota in five days. Almost every thing went as promised and as planned, I know i was told that everything would be ok by my sales person but i was very hesitant. I guess she proved me wrong.\r Thank you Fix Price movers, I am recommending my boss to use you guys, he got much more staff than me and they more delicate and expensive please take a good care of him like me.\r Thanks, Pros: Scheduling was perfect, strong and professional movers!!! I have three kids, was divorced twice, served in Vietnam but moving would be my worst night mare especially with the horrible service i got from my last mover. I was very hesitant when shopping around for movers to move me(For the last time, I am retiring in the beautiful state of Florida). I scheduled a free in home estimate, interrogated the young man that came to give me a visual estimate, did research on the web. I finally settled for Fix Price Moving, because they were informative, diligent and have fair price compare to the other estimates i have gotten(not the highest not the lowest. To make the long story short, the move went smooth, the movers were fast, efficient and know what they are doing. the delivery turn around was with in the promised time frame.Lets put it this way, they impressed my wife, whom i am married for 13 years now, and never seen her complement highly on any service i can think on. I have already sent a letter to the upper management and would gladly offer to be used as a reference. After shopping around online, I finally narrow it down to three movers. out of those, I was very impressed by fix price movers sales rep. professionalism and followups, that was what made this company outstanding among others and made me try them out. my move was put off a couple of times due to escrow problems and the dispatch department worked with me to get me a time and date of my choice. The real thrill came on the move date, the movers were awesome. they were fast, efficient and careful. I don't have nothing but good things to say about this organization. they kept their promise on all ends. I am extremely happy and made this stressful event go smooth. i have already told my neighbors and my collegues and they have scheduled a move with them. \r A very happy customer, moved from Fremont, Ca to Vermont. I recently used Fix Price Moving for a recent bay area move and my experience was overwhelmingly favorable. I solicited quotes from several movers, and then postponed my move for close to eight months. Fix Price was the only company that stayed with me, followed up with me in an unobtrusive way, which I was grateful for. Not only were they competitively priced, the move turned out to be slightly less than what was estimated, largely due to the fantastic movers who hustled but not recklessly. I must say, I was highly impressed with the Fix Price staff; Donna in particular, and the movers, led by Alex, were highly trained professionals; courteous, friendly and efficient. \r \r Can't go wrong using these guys . . . they were great! \r \r Pros: Friendly, not pushy, professional, exceeded all expectations Cons: enough with the packing tape guys!! more

I know I paid you guys good money for my move to Southern California but still I feel obligated to write a review about you the exceptional service provided by Fix Price Movers professional crew. I am glad the whole moving ordeal is over and I got each and everything in one piece. thank you guys starting from Ben who came to my house to give me an estimate, Alex who managed the crew on the moving day, Brian the delivery driver who handled the delivery part and at last but not the least, Donna who was my personal agent that made all this happen. I am hoping not move anytime soon but if i do, i know who to call. My parents are moving to Florida and I already give them you guys number, please take of them like you did to me. I have moved five times in the past three years. almost each and every time, there was some problems with the different moving companies that i have used. I was to the point where I would like to do my future moves myself but due to my health condition i can't do it. I approached Fix price movers because my neighbor referred me to them. I was very skeptical and asked tons of questions; to my surprise all of my questions were answered throughly. I scheduled my move with them and the move was completed in the time frame quoted and their rates and charges were fairly reasonable for the services provided. the movers were clean, polite and considerate, they tried all my staff with great care and attention. Finally I found a company I can rely on for my upcoming moves. \r y more

Moving can be stressful and Fix Price Move does absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G to alleviate the situation. Where to begin? Initially reassured by the courteous booking agent and professional demeanor of the moving men, all my faith in this lacking-of-customer-service Hell completely disappeared after the promised 5-9 day moving time lapsed. After the two week mark and calling no less than five times requesting an update on my move did I finally speak with someone who knew where my possessions were. BUT, forget ever speaking to a manager or supervisor! I'm on day twenty and seventh request-still no answer. \r \r Finally, today (number 20 and counting) the mover let's me know he will be delivering tomorrow. Good? No. Although Fix Price Move quotes on their website, ""all of our staff are employed by the company,"" this person works for a different company. \r \r I'm sleeping on a couch, living out of a duffel bag, and wouldn't wish this torment on my worst enemy. my move was sudden so i was stressed out and confused about who to call and what to do. i googled about five moving companies and tried to get quotes and availability. given my desperation, most of the moving companies gave me a higher quote or were not able to move me. but fix price moving squized me and were able to do my move the next day around the evening. the guys got to my house about 6:pm and worked as if they were well rested for the whole day(i later found out they have been working for eight hours before my move). the got me out of my fully furnished two bedroom two bath town house with a garage in less than six hours. i was very impressed by the movers professionalism and by the office personnels attentiveness to my demands. thank you guys, God bless you for moving me in such short notice and made what soon was to be a nightmare a fun experience. They moved my grand ma last week, and I was amazed by their service. This movers worked 15 hrs non stop(they only took two 15 minutes break to eat) I was shocked to see how any human being can work constantly for that long with a positive attitude and a smile on their face?????? they wrapped and pack her staff carefully and professionally. My grand ma complains about everything, and even she don't have any bad thing to say about them and that shows a lot. The crew leader Alex was great, the explained everything in detail and has a nice attitude. I know I have called the office to thank them, but I am writing this to let other know what a great job they did.\r I.
