I recently used Fix price moving for my move from San Francisco, ca to Michigan. I have used six different movers in the past eight years because of my work. Unlike in the past, I am paying for this move so i solicited six different moves and settled with fix price moving because the sales person that helped me was down to earth, attentive and gave me a lot of information about the moving process and they have relatively better standing and reputation than the other companies that competed to get my business. On the move date the movers came around eight, wrapped, packed and loaded my three bedroom town house in less than six hours, that was very impressing because usually with the big van lines that i used in the past ,the pack and load takes a day and half or two days. i did most of the packing but still i am very impressed by the efficiency of the movers especially the older Hispanic guy. once they loaded and weighed my staff, i got a call the next day informing me that, my staff weighed 440lbs more(the lead driver told me that my staff might weigh about 1000lbs more so that didn't surprise me) and my furniture is on the way and should be there in 4-5days. that worked out perfect because, i was planning to get there a day before the scheduled delivery date. once my furniture got three, there was no major damages, expect a scratch my dresser which easily can be sanded and my desk was wobbling(i knew it was about time because it seems that the more it gets disassembled the weaker the desk get). I now have finished unpacking every thing and pretty much everything looks OK, expect the two items i mentioned above and two of my ceramic plates were cracked. to summarize, The movers were fast and experienced, my sales agent was responsive and very courteous,operation dept communicated with me in three different occasion to give me updates on my move, the delivery people were nice too. Over all fix price moving did a good job and they deserve a positive feed back
Pros: Very good movers and attentive office staff
Cons: minor damage, move end up costing few hundred more
