By far the best movers I ever used. I contacted them about a month ago to coordinate a move from Los altos, Ca to Palo alto and was very impressed by the professionalism and courtesy displayed by the office personnel. on the actual moving date the crew were efficient, fast and professional and moved my four bedroom house in one day. the last time I moved it took the moving company two days and charged me arm and leg and on top of that damaged my irreplaceable antique furniture. but Fix price movers crew completed the move before the sun set with no major damage(i haven't finished unpacking since i flew out of the country three days after a move). their price is on the higher side compare to other quotes i have gotten but their service compensate for the money that you are spending. thank you guys for great job and rescuing me in this stressful situation. more

We just moved this month (Sept 2010) and Fix Price Move were great! The crew were very professional and courteous and took the headache out of the moving process! They were very efficient and hard working, and I would strongly recommend Fix Price Move for anyone looking for a great moving experience! more

Be aware of these movers they are crooks! Im still waiting for a refund for being overcharged on my credit card of $1,780 dollars my move was in JUNE and I still have not gotten the credit put back into my account. I have left several messages and keep getting transferred to voice mail systems and have gotten responses saying ""its been taken care of"" or ""they will get back to me by the end of the day"" I am now going to take them to small claims court there is no reason why I should suffer for there lack of professionalism and communication!!!! As I read there reviews I'm convinced there bogus! It doesn't even sound like the same company, I advise you to research before picking a moving company and be aware of all charges made to your accounts more

I saw their truck while moving my neighbors, all the furniture was neatly wrapped with moving pads and surround wraps and all the movers were wearing a company issued green uniform with their logo on it and working non stop. After watching from my patio for a couple of hours, i asked my neighbor how his experience was, he was very impressed but can't give me a definite recommendation since they haven't delivered his items in Maryland yet. I took his number and called him two weeks later, he was pleased but had minor issues that he is working on like damages to a dresser and scratch to his dinning room table but he claimed it was a smooth move. Based on his recommendation and my research on internet and extensive conversation i had with their rep, i gave them a chance. They came and picked me up with in the promised time, delivered my goods in Virgina with in 12 days from the date of the pick up and there were no noticeable damages. The crew on pick up end were way more professional and courteous than the crew on delivery. The guys on delivery seemed they were in rush to finish my move, how ever assembled back my bed, table and helped me set up my new home. Even though i moved tons of times cross country using the major Van lines, I would say Fix Price Move has a more efficient crews and better pricing. i never seen anyone took a good care of my furniture, like Fix Price Move did. Moving is not fun but Fix price Move did it stress free, I am very grateful for their professionalism and attentiveness. more

I contracted Fix Price Move for my unexpected and unplanned relocation disaster. I have to leave my house in less than a week and some how i have to find movers, storage, a new home. i frantically start calling movers on google listings and felt very comfortable with Fix Price Move of san jose. they answered all my questions and were upfront on all the charges and their price was higher than most but seemed realistic for the all extra service that they are offering. they even offered me free storage for a month until i get a place in Virginia. i set up the move immediately and the movers showed up during the time slot they promised. before i know it all my goods were loaded in their truck and my biggest moving nightmare was over and i was only left with a task of finding a new place to live. 45 days later i found a home close to my new job and i got my furniture in five days. i can't thank you guys enough for being there for me and my family when we needed somebody the most. I will update pending the resolution of the issues, but all in all a horrible experience. Hired them for a move and shipment of goods internationally. The quote and what was charged was very different and am still waiting for a refund of the difference (18 months later). The house was left dirty with 30+ rolls of tape and scraps all over the house and yard. The door had been removed to take the fridge out, but was not put back on. There was a huge ding left in the wooden floors due to the improper moving of fridge. Goods that were set aside to NOT be packed, were packed and goods were not separated correctly so what was shipped and what went to storage were not correct. I am living international now and will not have those boxes until I move back. I haven't had to opportunity to unpack my goods so cannot discuss that portion, but am horrified to see what may be broken when it is all said and done. The people at the main office were excellent, very professional and pleasant to work with .They treated me like I was their only concern making me happy and getting the job done perfectly, I thought it was normal since they wanted to earn my business and I will probably see their true colors on the moving day. They proved me wrong, the movers were even more nice and professional than my booking agent and coordinator. Not a thing was scratched, not a thing was broken, and they helped install and arrange furniture and put things together so it made my unpacking that much simpler. I told my mover to put my LCD TV on side since the Plasma installer(which i paid $250.00 before and was about to pay the same again, will be coming tomorrow to mount it on the wall), he told me he can do that for me, for FREE( I was paying by the hour, it made my move 20 minutes longer), he put my TV up on the wall professionally and saved me $200.00, I was very happy and impressed by everything. they were excellent and I'd like to keep their names to request for the next time I move! I've moved a lot and these were by far the best guys I've ever seen. From the confirmation calls, the call along the way to let me know they were arriving in 15minutes, and the entire move, it was by far the best ever. With all the negative reviews from other people, I took the chance and hired Fix Price Move for my move last July. And I was not disappointed. I could go as far as saying that they are the best of all San Jose movers, maybe even the whole of California. You just have to try them to see what I'm talking about. \r \r To give you an idea though, they had their trucks on my driveway a good half hour before schedule but they did not rush me (we did some last minute repacking)\r \r They were also very helpful. My experience with Fix Price Move has been great. Moved from San Jose and hired them. They were very friendly and upfront. They have the paperwork ready. They made sure that I was only going to pay $1,300 for a move that went for around 3 hours. I am budget conscious and with me losing my job the last month, I can't afford to be hoodwinked. I told them that and they laughed it off. Turns out that they even gave me a discount, I paid only $1,100 after they said that they had discount coupons online and they were giving it to me even if I had not availed of it. No body likes to move especially when you are in another state 3000 miles and coordinate a move. After a week long solicitation and lot of bids, i selected Fix Price Move of San Jose because they made me feel very good about the whole ordeal. I gave them specific instruction of what needs to be picked up and what needs to be left out and to my surprise they got it on point. I didn't need to fly across the country and spend tons of money on travel and hotels, they fax me the paper work and made the arragement with the storage unit and got my furniture in New Jersy in about ten days. it can't get better than this Pros: The most efficient movers i have seen Cons: Too much paper work and signitures more

i thought i planned everything well, i reserved a rental truck with Uhaul, reminded my family and friends to help me load my furniture, prepared for the long drive and all of a sudden unexpected thing happen, my wife was sick and i have to take her to a hospital and stay here until she gets better. My reservation with Uhaul is cancelled and obviously my wife can't handle the 3 day drive to Texas and i have to go and start my new job. so i started calling moves for the same or next day move. i figured i will start calling around 600am and leave messages, so they will call me back when they get the messages. To my surprise, Fix Price Move answered at 06:15am, actually it was the driver who is gettting ready to head to a job site, he took my name and number told me some one will call me soon. at 06:30 I was on the phone with one of the estimator, who explained all the details with me and set up a move that afternoon. To make long story short, a crew of three movers arrived at my house around 3:30pm and packed and loaded everything I owned before 7:00pm. I got a call the next day to let me know that they have a truck going to Florida and they will load my things on that truck and delivery should be in 2-3 days. I was in shock, these guys literally rescued me during in one of the most stressful times of my life and i got my furintiure two days before I start my new job. I can't thank you guys enough and i am grateful and felt like i was treated like a family. I used Fix Price Move to move from California to Texas, and the entire organization were very helpful. The sales person that helped me set up my move was very helpful and informative and the crew that did my move were awesome. they got my stuff to Texas in less than a week and there were no noticeable damages. Worst experience of my life. We moved across country and because of all the positive reviews, I used them. I am now extremely suspicous of the review process because they were an obvious rip-off company. Don't trust your precious belongings to them. They were late, 10 days late. We were not able to contact them because the number on the paperwork was disconnected. They didn't call us back when we finally got a good number for several days. \r \r When we got our stuff it was in horrible shape. It had been transferred all across the country for each local company they used. There were deep scratches and chips on everything exposed. When I complained, I saw on their paperwork that they put SC=scratched on every piece of furniture that we had. It was amazing there was anything undamaged. All the boxes looked as if they had been through WWIII. Cons: liars, threw my stuff around like it was trash more

We hired Fix Price Move for $1,300 to move our 2 bedroom apartment to a location a couple hours away. They ended up charging us $3,300, and refused to give our stuff back until we paid them. We protested and they said ""Tough luck, we have your belongings."" Also, be careful of these guys because they cheat you if you are a woman. I used fix price move for a cross country move from California to New Jersey. I must say the my over all experience with this company was good. I have moved three times before almost all of them arranged and paid by my company so i know how the other companies work and charge. since this move was coming out of my pocket i did my best to minimize the cost and at the same time manage my relocation with three little kids and a two dogs. long story short, the guys did a marvelous job, they were quick efficient and with in my budget. the delivery driver got there before me since me and my wife have to drive our cars cross country with our kids and pets. he waited for us for a day and half and unloaded and help us set up our new place. even though i paid over $5k for this move, it was worth every penny. We are hiring lawyers right now to SUIT this company! They BROKE a corner-desk, A TV unit, book shelves and lamps that THEY PACKED! A file cabinet is MISSING along with most of the screws that THEY PACKED! We moved from California to NY. When the movers in NY tried to put the furniture together they were frustrated because they saw how the movers in Cali have destroyed the corner desk and other furniture by pulling things apart without even unscrewing the pieces, like PRIMITIVE BEINGS WITHOUT ANY TRAINING IN WHAT THEY DO! We saw what they were doing but they told us ""do not worry. We know what we are doing"". Yes, right! We paid $4, 000 to get our furniture RUINED by these UNPROFESSIONAL THIEVES! The best part is when they call you saying ""do not worry. We will compensate for everything"". We sent pictures of what they did to the furniture (more than $1000 in damages being generous...) and guess what? They said they will compensate us with less than $200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to recommend Fix Price Move for one very simple reason: they were my rescue when I was going through the most awful move by an absolutely criminal company. My belongings were being held hostage by one of those awful moving companies you always hear about. I had to pay thousands of dollars to get my belongings out of their warehouse but that is another review for another company. Fix Price came to my rescue, gave me an honest price, were willing to go get my stuff from the other company’s warehouse and treated me at every step with courtesy and sympathy for what I was going through. I was a panicked person and they made me feel able to get things settled. Their staff was beyond kind, the move went flawlessly and they continued to offer every help I needed along the way.\r \r There are other reviews where you can see what I’m sure are valid comments about delayed pickup times and other issues. My only response is that compared to what I went through with the other moving company I would have gladly had that been my only complaint. I was impressed with this moving company. I'm always hesitant and like to do research online before i make the final decision. I first saw this company's 5 star reviews, so i called around and finally chose this because they sounded professional and honest. the movers where on time and cant believe how experience they were lifting some of my heavy furniture. they were skilled and worth every penny. the only thing after the move i felt pressured by the head mover to leave a tip. otherwise i use them again and already recommended 2 of my friends that were also moving the same weekend. \r I highly recommend this moving company to anyone moving: house, condo, or apartment. I actually researched moving companies when preparing for our move from a 3rd floor apartment to a house. Due to a bad moving experience a couple of years ago (bad service and charged us way over what the quote was because of ""packing materials"") I wanted to check out reviews from previous customers. They came highly recommended from my boss, and then read many rave reviews on Google. It had the most positive feedback out the 4 or 5 different moving companies I looked at. I first had narrowed it down to Fix Price Movers and another company. Fix Price Movers had me fill out a form online, marking the number of beds, tv's, couches, boxes, etc. Then they emailed me a quote for 3 movers. They did not charge any extra for stairs, mileage, or moving us on a Sunday. They talked and joked around with me, all while working their asses off and stopping only once for a break (which is saying a lot, since our apartment was up 3 flights of stairs!). They ended up setting down the last box at the5 hour mark, on the dot. The total was exactly what I had been quoted. My one small complaint was that they showed up 20 minutes late. However, they didn't start the clock until the minute they grabbed the first box. Pros: Strong and efficient movers Cons: were 20 minutes late and didn't call to tell me more
