Both times they gave me estimates that were more affordable and more thorough than other shops in town. Thank you for the excellent, friendly, and conscientious service you have provided my daughter for her 1999 Expedition. She has been living in Arbor for the past year and working as a kindergarden teacher at Victory Academy in Township. Of course a reliable car is essential for her travel to and from school each day. Here in Lexington, for years we have had a private auto repair shop that is excellent and one, we thought was unique. I had hoped but didn't expect to find a similar auto repair shop in Arbor. Additionally, your location being very close to Lara's residence in Arbor makes the situation even better. As her father, I'm concerned that her Expedition, though a bit along in years, be kept in top working and safe condition as possible. Over the past several months, to major repairs have been necessary, one pertaining to brakes and the other, most recent, to a short in the electrical system. In both instance, you and your mechanics have been able to diagnose and fix the problems promptly. Recently I was in Ann Arbor for my Mother's Funeral. While in town I had a bit of car trouble. Over several days, I went from shop to shop and spent nearly 600$ without getting my car repaired properly. When I picked your shop out of the phone book I was utterly fed up with car mechanics in Ann Arbor and in general. You brought me back to your mechanic and when I explained the problem to him he said it sounds like a TPS unit problem. When he hooked it up to the diagnostic machine it confirmed his hunch. He replaced the part and we took a test drive, Problem Solved! In 15 minutes he solved a problem I had been trying to get fixed for three days. My car made it back to Richmond, Virginia without a bit of problem, it is still running wonderfully today. Thank you! I only wish I had found your establishment first hing and that we had shops your caliber here in Virginia. If I am ever back in Ann Arbor you have my business and I highly recommend you to anyone who needcs a good professional mechanic service. more

Honest, to the point, great experience. We had bad experiences with other stores, I had second opinion with fawzi, and they said what the other store quoted that we need to have big repair on our car which cost $700 was a lie. We also had another second opinion with the dealer which support fawzi's diagnose. Since then we have been very happy with their service. more

As I was about to head to Discount Tire, Fawzi walked in and asked what was up with my car. I stated that I needed tires and he questioned which kind I had selected. When I told him I couldn't be helped today, he asked the mechanic if anyone was using the hand jack in the back bay. He replied with a, ""No."" Fawzi said, ""Mr. Chino, we'll set you right up."" He also switched out my rims and put a new rim on the spare. I thanked him for expeditiously serving me. He responded, ""I couldn't let a good customer like you leave unsatisfied!"" I've sent many friends to Fawzi's and all have found him fair and reliable. He'll stand behind his work and explain exactly what your car's issues are and what the cost and values are. Choose Fawzi's first! more

I went here about a month ago because of a rattling sound coming from the back of the car. Fawzi's initially gave me a long list of repairs that the car ""needed"" totaling almost $3,000.00. I told them I had had half the things on this list done within the past six months and they tapered the list down to rear brakes and calipers, totaling around $300. The only problem was, the day after I picked the car back up, it had some new issues. I was able to bring it back about a month later and they told me I needed a wheel bearing and U-joint (something they had been trying to get me to do the first time). Being fed up with them at this point, I took my car to a certified dealership and they checked on the work Fawzi's had done. The brakes were burnt to a crisp and the calipers were old or broken!!! So I had to replace those parts, plus fixing the wheel bearing (I'll give them the one star for that, the only thing they were actually right about). Then I went back to Fawzi's a couple days ago for the full refund on their work, bringing all the receipts and parts, to show them that they did NOT do what they said they were going to do. The manager was extremely rude and aggressive, and tried threatening to sue the dealership if anything was fraudulent, all the while standing next to their ""customer agreement"" which states that they will ""treat everyone with respect"" and ""make proper repairs the first time"" and be ""honest and ethical."" (What a joke.) He wanted to hang on to the receipts until Monday, because it was a Saturday and he was about to walk out the door, and tried to hang onto them until we had to pull them back away. He was getting louder until some other customers walked in, then toned it down a bit. He was a total dick and denied them doing anything wrong, focusing on the wheel bearing and the fact that I hadn't taken their whole list of recommendations, ignoring the fact that the things I did get ""repaired"" by them had NOT been fixed. I will definitely be getting the $300.00 back from him though, but what a hassle. It's not worth the time and energy to take your car here, PLEASE go somewhere else!!!!! more

Initial repair was completed with satisfaction and at a cost that was about average (not too high, not too low). Regarding how long it would take to do the repair, I was told one thing, but of course, once I left the vehicle at the shop, the repair took a lot longer...this delay, in and of itself, was not a complete deal breaker. HOWEVER, once the work was completed, the vehicle was given back to me very dirty and most important of all, once I got the vehicle back home, I realized the vehicle was not at all put back together correctly after the repair was completed (clips were left undone, screws were missing, things were rattling, etc.). Rather than take the vehicle back, I spent over two hours un-assembling the work, and re-assembling the work correctly. I NEVER should have been given the vehicle back this way. Yes, the somewhat simple repair was made satisfactorily (something that was outside my scope of expertise), but the vehicle was returned to me in such bad shape (unbelievably bad shape) that I was afraid to return with the vehicle to have them do what for sure should have been done correctly in the first place. Since this repair shop cannot seem to put your vehicle back together correctly once the repair is made, I would definitely NOT recommend this repair service. more
