The wait staff all wore smiles, and greeted us each time they passed! Our food was delivered hot and just the way we ordered it, the ribs were fall off the bone delicious!! The atmosphere was great, a variety of musc and places to sit! A little bit of a wait at the door but well worth it! Pros: friendly, atmospher, food more

Great Bar B Que 11/5/2006

This place is awesome. We had a large group, celebrating a retirement. Never been there before, but I will be back tomorrow for lunch and maybe tomorrow for dinner TOO! \r The best bar b que I've had since I moved here from Texas over three years ago. The waitresses were uncommonly friendly and entertaining. This is a great restaurant! Pros: GREAT BAR B QUE Cons: DIDN'T DISCOVER SOONER more

Perfect night! 10/23/2006

We had a large group from out of town visiting and wanted to show them what good BBQ was all about. Famous Dave's gave us that perfect experience. Every person in our group raved about their order and service was top notch. Really, the whole night was more that I expected knowing that there was a wide range of ages and tastes in our group. We will definately be back!!! Pros: Quality of food, service and value....plus, it was a fun place to be! Cons: Can't think of one more

Barbecue 10/8/2006

Great place to have a quick lunch with employees and clients. I find that the staff and servers are friendly and offer good and quick service. The food is always served hot and the way that it is ordered. The quality of the ribs is as good as any in the area and served with the right amount of sauce. This is a rib joint that I can recommend to anyone. more

Dave's makes everyone happy! 10/7/2006

My husband is a BBQ fiend, but frankly I prefer fish and chicken. He's been bragging about the Ribs and Brisket at Famous Dave's for awhile, and I finally got to try it with him. I couldn't believe they offered salmon at a BBQ joint! It was as good as any I've had in seafood restaurants near by. Our teenage son ordered the smoked ribeye which he loved, and it was the best steak he's had in awhile, and still reasonably priced. Everything there was a great value, becasue the portions are huge. Plan to eat half your meal, because you have to try the pecan pie. It's as good as my Grandma made! \r \r Another nice feature is the room up front that can be reserved for large parties. My husband had a business lunch there and booked the room, which was very private, and didn't cost a thing. Nice touch for groups that need some privacy!\r Pros: food, value and service Cons: next door to Pro Discount Golf, so my husband can shop after he'd done eating!!! more

Ribs were outrageously good. People were great 10/5/2006

It was my families first time to eat at a Famous Dave's restaurant. We went to the one by the Cool Springs Gallery and it was easy to get to and the experience was fantastic. My kids ordered the kids portion of ribs and they loved them. My wife and I ate the meal for two, which had ribs, pork, chicken, two side items and cornbread muffins, served in an upside down trash can. Our waitress was very knowledgeble and the food was the most flavorable I had ever had. It's hard to find a restaurant where you feel comfortable, enjoy great food, and get it for a reasonable price. Famous Dave's is our new favorite restaurant, more importantly it's our kids new favorite. Pros: location, cabin ambience was great, server was wonderful Cons: none we noticed more

No One Smokes Barbecue This Good Do They? 10/5/2006

My family started to understand why they call it Famous Dave's. From the moment we set foot in the joint, the people made us feel at home. And the music, wow. You gotta love barbecue this ""rich and sassy"" as they say and tunes that jump. What surprised us is the variety we found. Quite frankly, we didn't expect to find fresh, lighter food also available in a place classified as a roadhouse setting. The chicken was moist, with a crunchy skin. About the 9th wing, my 12 year old said no mas--then reached for another. We were skeptical of a ""chain"" barbecue house, but its pork was better than any we've had on the road--and we travel the backroads for a living. The beer was cold as my first date at age 16 and the Bread Pudding had my wife drooling. I would recommend this place to anyone, even my enemies if I had any. Pros: Food, experience, the people rock Cons: the joint was jumpin', guess the secret is out more

Poor service with similar food 9/1/2006

\r There were 3 in our group and none of us enjoyed our meals. The corn on the cob was a small, soggy ear of corn. The brisket and barbeque were so tough it was difficult to chew, and so full of fat and gristle that very little of it could be eaten. The slaw, beans, and chicken were not much better. The service was slow. We asked the waitress 3 times before we received lemon for our iced tea. We ordered unsweetened tea, but received tea that was sweet. What a disappointment! There are several good barbeque restaurants in the Nashville area, this is just not one of them. Pros: parking, vintage lodge atmosphere Cons: food, service more
