My family started to understand why they call it Famous Dave's. From the moment we set foot in the joint, the people made us feel at home. And the music, wow. You gotta love barbecue this ""rich and sassy"" as they say and tunes that jump. What surprised us is the variety we found. Quite frankly, we didn't expect to find fresh, lighter food also available in a place classified as a roadhouse setting. The chicken was moist, with a crunchy skin. About the 9th wing, my 12 year old said no mas--then reached for another. We were skeptical of a ""chain"" barbecue house, but its pork was better than any we've had on the road--and we travel the backroads for a living. The beer was cold as my first date at age 16 and the Bread Pudding had my wife drooling. I would recommend this place to anyone, even my enemies if I had any.
Pros: Food, experience, the people rock
Cons: the joint was jumpin', guess the secret is out
