I'm grateful for the professionalism and great job this team did. Even though we made some last minute changes the movers and office people didn't complain but were very nice about everything. more

We had to move to a new apt. unit and decided to use Express Movers for the first time on Jan, 7, 2011. Myron and Jareld were excellent and careful movers who did their job thoroughly and professsionally. Not only did they safeguard all our furniture but they finished ahead of schedule. We will move back to our old unit after it's remodelled and will not hesitate to use Express Movers again. Hopefully we will get Myron and Jareld. more

Arranging for a cross-country move is no small task, and when you don't know how much you're moving it's even more difficult to estimate timing and costs...but not for Express Movers! I found them online and took the chance of calling to see if they could help pack and move inventory from the office to the post office for the relocation of our company from Seattle to the East Coast. None of us knew exactly what would be moved (or trashed), but Express Movers did exactly what we needed and were very accommodating. They were affordable, but their service was priceless! more

The moving crew we used in August 2010 did an outstanding job! They were very professional, fast and careful with our belongings. They were courteous to us and had great communication between one another. We couldn't have asked for 3 better workers...top notch! more

Express Movers really worked with our situation. Our move was dependent on our closing date of the sell of our old house and purchase of our new house. Crazy as it was we didn't know the final closing date even 2 days prior due to some unforeseen circumstances. The office staff at Express Movers really worked with me and reassured me this is nothing new to them and it'll be okay.\r So from the set up appt, estimate visit, and then the move, Express Movers were professionals. Myron, Matt, Trevor, and Zeke worked nonstop (minus a well deserved lunch break) on a warm day. Each guy had their ""job"" and didn't complain even with our huge, heavy armoire needing to come down the stairs.\r They are well equipped...padding, tape, trolley, etc.\r Even when I made an error on where furniture was to be placed in our new house, they corrected and removed the furniture with smiles on in the late afternoon.\r It was a pleasant experience and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. more

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Myron and Nathan. they were courteous and friendly. You could tell that they took pride in their jobs and I trusted them completely with my belongings. I would definitely use this company again, and I've already referred them to my friends! more

We hired Express Movers to load a two bedroom condo into our Penske moving truck for a Seattle to Santa Barbara move. They sent two very nice young men to our home and they were ontime. One of the movers was very inexperienced and he needed constant direction from the other mover. \r \r During the loading we noticed they were placing metals items on wood furniture. We told them that could cause damage during our 1100 mile drive and recommended they a) use the 60 blankets we got from Penske and b) not pack metal items on top of wood furniture. After we arrived in California we found damaged furniture due to poor truck packing techniques. After two months of communicating with Express Movers they explained they are not responsible for damage. \r \r SO BUYER BEWARE: If you hire this company you need to watch every pack, stack and wrap they do for you. If they choose to put an outdoor metal chair on top of your wood dining table that is your fault, not theirs.\r I recommend you oversee every move they make. Danny, James, Sean, Trevor did a great job moving all our junk into the first floor so we could get some floor work done. They also managed to get it done in about one-third the time estimated by the front office. No loss to me, though, just FYI. I moved cross town 3/15. I was packing all weekend (sleepless in SEA) and express movers, Jesse and T-man (sorry,I can't remember 2nd name) showed up promptly with repeat tele-contact approaching arrival. I was still finishing packing as they began the loading. Everything got out the door, with a little cleanup left behind. Just over 3hours and all those boxed worldly obsessions were relocated. The moving process can make anyone a basket case. For me, the Express Movers showed up, gave me confidence in their focus, and made it happen. Thanks again Guys!! Overall, I had a really good experience with this company. Cons: They were a little bit slow during the move which was due in part to the initial overestimation of time required to to the job. During the initial house visit to give us a quote, we told them we would be moving numerous large / expensive items ourselves but they still included these in the estimate which gave the actual movers a huge buffer on move-day (e.g., they moved pretty slowly but were still able to ""beat"" the estimate). Pros: However, what really set this company apart was their great customer service. They were easy to talk to up front, were very responsive when setting up the estimate / move and had great customer service. A couple of items were damaged during the move and they were very professional and responsible when working out a reimbursement. Coming from a former military member with at least a half dozen moves under my belt, I can easily say this was a bit out of the ordinary -- but definitely in a good way!! If you have a straight forward move, Express Movers might be a good option. The guys are fast, friendly and accomodating. However, we moved off an island and one thing after the other went wrong. They sent too small a truck, meaning that we had to complete the move on our own. They said we could get two months of free storage, and then it suddenly wasn't available. They did arrange different storage for us, but charged us $80, when they had paid less than $30. They sent our refund check for damaged items to the storage unit, rather than to us, meaning we had to make two additional trips to retrieve it. All, in all, while moving day was reasonably smooth, the rest of the transaction was unnecessarily bumpy. From the very first call to get information this company was friendly and helpful. I called at 5:05 on a Wed. and toni still answered the phone even though they closed at 5. She stayed and answered all my questions and got me a scheduled move date the same week! Despite having to contend with the ferry and its unpredictability they remained in good spirits! My crew was Myron and Jesse, I highly recommend both of them to all of you. Myron stayed on top of things by making staying in contact with us every step of the way. Jesse packed the truck with such care absolutely nothing had even shifted going through the steep hills of seattle. They both hustled to get us moved in and remaine courteous the entire time. We did go over the estimated time because we missed a ferry, but i was so happy with them i insisted i pay for it. We just used Express Movers for a move based on the recommendations already written about them. These guys arrived on time, were cheerful for 9 HOURS, patient, helpful, careful. They practically ran through the whole move, never stopping. The amazing thing was that they even offered to move things that we had not yet packed....loose items were not a problem. All our furniture was shrink wrapped, there was never a complaint or hesitancy about any of our requests. When we arrived at the destination, our bed was set up without being asked, boxes were placed in appropriate rooms....and then we got a gift bag. Express Movers was absolutely professional from the start! The move was less than two weeks away when I called them, but the friendly staff secured an appointment for estimate right away and also the moving date that I preferred. During the time of the estimate, Myron was curteous and explained my rights and everything else in detail so to avoid any surprise later on. The conversation left me the impression that Myron was faithful and loyal to his employer yet at the same time, was considerate to the customers and had their best interests in mind. On moving date, Myron gave me a call to inform me of the team's departure and the estimated time of arrival. It was the Saturday of the week of record breaking scorching heat. Other than a couple of brief breaks, they worked non-stop. I had a lot of boxes, most of them books, and some heavy furnitures and applicances. They took extra care in wrapping and moving them. While working hard for 6 hours, the team--Myron, Keith, Daniel, and Jose--was respectable to their lead (Myron) and to one another. And they made the job fun! I moved quite a lot and have never seen a team so professional, courteous, efficient, and made moving a fun and pleasant experience for everyone around. I have to say the moving day was the best highlight in this rather stressful move. I would highly recommand this team/moving company without reservation. In fact, if and when I move again, I would no doubt go to them for a fun and professional moving experience! \r Mary Poppins sang this line while teaching the kids about chores: ""Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down--in the most delightful way!"" This is the first time that I have hired movers to help me move. This experience was such a positive one that I will definitely go back to Express Movers again. They were prompt in arriving, provided a very accurate estimate of the time it would take to move my stuff, were extremely fast and efficient, and were very polite and courteous all throughout the move. James and Raymond were the two movers who helped me, and I hope that they are still around the next time I move, since I will definitely like to have them help me again. Thank you! This was the smartest thing I've ever done in terms of moving, what a relief it was to go with this company. We have moved probably 8 times in the last 8 years (some long, but most short distance). As we bought our first house on this go around, I debated whether to get movers or just 'do it ourselves.' After going through Express Movers, I am just thankful that I had the wit to make the call. It was easy (I called a month ahead of time to secure my preferred date, and they place a $50 ""deposit"" on your card to hold it). The movers (sorry I am forgetting the names) were easy to work with, went over all of the paperwork, and got right to work. We had estimated about 6 hours, and we completed it in around 5 (which meant it came in under cost). Honestly, if you are moving in the Seattle metro area (we moved from Seattle to Bothell) - there really is no comparison, skip the U Haul and your friends pickup trucks and just go with these guys. I approached the task of finding a mover with more than a little hesitation. My past experience with movers was, to say the least, not so great. From the first call to Express Movers, my expectations began to shift. The gentleman I originally spoke with, Dave or Dan (?), was wonderful. Since I work in the customer service industry, I am probably a little more sensitive to this issue, so I can honestly say, his customer service skills were so far above and beyond the norm these days! He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He had a nice mix of calm and confidence, along with a great sense of humour that put me at ease instantly. After explaining the entire process and gathering my move information, he gave me a quote right then with a couple different options. He explained how the company works and even the goals of the company and told me that the company has won several Seattle awards this last year. After my experience, I certainly understand why! \r The day before my move I received a call from my lead guy...Myron. Again, like the first guy, he could not have been more pleasant and helpful. He confirmed all of my moving details, his arrival time and gave me an overview of how the next day would unfold. The only question left unanswered that night was, where in the world did they find these guys?\r Sure enough, the next day went like clockwork. Myron explained the paperwork and did a quick ""walk through"" of my home. While he was doing this, the other 3 movers jumped into action. They put down carpet in my entry ways to protect the hardwood floors, and worked quickly, efficiently and with smiles on their faces. Things could not have gone more smoothly. They finished a little shy of the estimated time and even came back in after the job was done and helped me with a couple last minute things. I can not say it enough...they guys are the best! We had a large move with Express and the team was very hard working. The price was right, so just make sure that if your move is very large, that every detail is taken into account. Have the 3 trucks, dollies, pads, boxes, and the crew counts agreed to in advance. If you've moved before and know you have a 2 day move... even if they really want to do it for you in one day, appreciate their eagerness to please, but insist on the 2 day job. I guess, just make sure everyone is on the same page. I didn't do that and a few things wound up going awry. However, the crew hung in there and the job got done!! They worked really hard, way past the normal stopping time, to get the job completed. \r Pros: Price. Hard workers. Cons: The requirements for the size of the move were underestimated. more
