Our recent move with Express Movers went off without a hitch. The crew was very polite, pleasant, and fun to work with! (We appreciated that since we were so tired and stressed from trying to get packed and ready!) I was impressed at the care they took with protecting the floors and doorways. We had quite a bit of artwork and some furniture that, if we would have moved it ourselves -- probably would have fallen apart. The guys wrapped everything carefully and got it to our new place without any problems. We were very happy with their service.\r more

We just finished a (what could have been grueling) 3-part move and I was so pleased with Express Movers? service I actually had to call them up to tell them so afterwards. They definitely give a whole new definition to the term ?movers.? This family-owned, local moving company has guys working for it that are incredibly professional, careful, energetic, strong, and full of creative packing ideas. And they manage to have a sense of humor all the while! We hired them three times in three months to 1) move my mother-in-law to a retirement community, 2) move all our furniture out of our new house so we could have the floors refinished, and, finally, move our 20-something-years-worth of possessions from Snohomish to Seattle. It?s the first time I?ve used movers, and I didn?t know it could be such a positive experience. Ben and Matthew, you and your crews are the greatest ? thank you so much! more

This is the first time in my life I have used movers and I was worried because I had heard horror stories. These guys put my fears to rest. Showed up on time, were polite and professional. Most of all they took extreme care with our stuff - never had my $15 Ikea table been treated with such respect. Couple of goofs as far as having the right equipment - but it was taken care of immediately. Cant say enough nice things..I would recommend this guys and would use them again. more

Mine was a difficult move because our 4 story house has lots of stairs and narrow hallways but these guys did it with ease and didn't damage anything. Ben Matthew and Myron were awesome. I highly recommend this company. Pros: very careful more

Well I moved again and this time to Portland Or. After the last experience I called and setup an appointment with Express movers. They showed up late and were not all that great this time around.\r \r Toni did send me another $100 off which is a total of 40% which was nice.\r \r Here is my March 2007 Review below.\r \r I have used several movers in Seattle. Never being stratified by any I always was shopping for a new mover when I moved again. I moved in Dec. and had a quote from Hanson Brothers and Express Movers. The quotes were almost the exact same price but I used Hanson on a friends recommendation. Well, after that move it was hands down going to be Express Movers the next time I moved, which was sooner then I had expected. I can't tell you how happy I was during and after this move. They padded just about anything that wasn't a box. These are by far the best movers I have used in Seattle. Courteous, VERY professional and \r very detailed oriented and on top of all that they are fast. If you are moving, don't look any further, these guys are incredible. Movers to avoid, Action and Hanson Brothers.\r \r Hopefully I don't move for a while and they keep up the good work. Pros: They pad all and are the best I have used. Cons: Didn't show up on time. They had a no show and didn't handle it well. more

The recent downpour flooded my basement apartment and threatened to destroy all of my furniture. I called Express Movers and they dropped everything and came out on the next day - a Saturday! - to help me save my stuff. All of the movers were professional, polite, and efficient. The company did not follow through on their communications. Several days elapsed between the time the estimate was done and they decided that they didn't have the staffing to do the job. Instead of calling me to let me know right away, or returning the calls I was making to them, they sent me an email late in the day; which meant I had to start scrambling around at the end of the day, right before a holiday to find new movers. Instead of being able to find a good mover, I had to take whatever I could get. Very poor customer service. more

I made an appointment with the moving company earlier this week for the free estimate. I took off Friday morning from work to meet them for a bid. They COMPLETELY forgot to show up. I had to call them to remind them of the appointment. Then, they said they will come by after work at 5pm. I waited around for them and they called at 4:50pm to tell me that they can't make it because there was traffic. \r Of course there's traffic on a Friday evening in Seattle! No apologies, NOTHING.\r \r If they can't even come over to figure out the logistics, I definitely won't use them for the MOVE. Bad recommendation Citysearch - you were the referral. Cons: NOT dependable! Poor service. more

This was my first time hiring a moving company and it was well worth the money. They were able to fit me into their schedule with only a week's notice. Toni in the office was an absolute pleasure to interact with, and my two movers were very personable. My only complaint is that the lead mover had to repeatedly remind the newer, less experienced mover to be careful. Luckily nothing was damaged. I've never had a good experience moving before, but I was pleasantly surprised by how painless Express Movers had made my move for me. They were so careful with my belongings, they were efficient, and even polite! These were not your typical moving guys. Everything went smoothly, and I'd recommend them to my friends. more

I read these reviews to find a good mover. The reviews here were good. We hired Express Movers and were very disappointed. They damaged some of our furniture, were 1 1/2 hours late, one of the 4 guys they sent disappeared after 4 hours, that left us having to help unload. Then they tried to charge us labor for the guy that walked off the job. We are not pleased with the way the owner handled our move, and the money he tried to charge. He tried to act like they were heroes for finishing the move in less time. Well, the only reason they did is becuase we helped them unload. This company is trying to be the best in the moving business.... but their customer service and business experience is in need of improvement. They owner did not even apologize for his employee, jumping out of the truck. He actually jumped out on the Eastside and said he had an appointment. The other employees said he does it a lot! We will never use this company again. more

Adrian, Dustin and Matthew were my movers and they were friendly and worked fast. (A thank you for them!) A few minutes late because of traffic but everything else was perfect. I will use them again next time. Pros: polite, fast, NICE and clean more

my manager said they were good and she was so right. I cant believe how hard and fast they worked, and even at the end of a long day when they were obvioulsy exhausted, they were still smiling and totally polite. they moved all my clothes in wardrobe boxes and hung the stuff away in my new apartment , didn't charge for it and took the boxes away. no charges for mattress covers and other stuff I had to pay for when I used other movers. As a property manager of a large apartment building downtown, I was very pleased to have found Express Movers to recommend to my tenants. Adrian and Toni give personal service and truly care about their clients. They handled our residents belongings as if their own! I had one tenant that Adrian and his team moved - and during the move they discovered that one of those little pegs needed to put the residents IKEA bed back together was missing. Adrian drove from N. Seattle to Ikea and back again to make it right for the client. I was truly impressed - he could have stood behind one of those disclaimers movers make - but not Adrian, he is honest and totally committed to excellent service. These guys were great. They were on time, friendly and really easy to work with. This is the first move I've had where the movers didn't break anything or lose anything. I was also amazed at how little it cost me compared to the movers that I have used in the past. I'd recommend them to anyone I know that is in need of a moving company.
