First let me just say thank God I didn't pay this company any money. I don't even live in NJ, I live in central Virginia, so how I got caught up with these clowns I'll never know...

I think this qualifies as H-A-R-R-A-S-S-M-E-N-T 3/23/2011

First let me just say thank God I didn't pay this company any money. I don't even live in NJ, I live in central Virginia, so how I got caught up with these clowns I'll never know. I bought a house in February. I was calling to set up appointments for the utilities to be turned on and during one of the phone calls, I was asked if I wanted someone from EverSafe Security to contact me about a special deal for an ADT home security system. I just said, ""sure why not"". I was called a couple of days later and told that for $99 I could get the entire system installed, labor and parts included. The promotion also included a free $100 Visa gift card, so really, the installation didn't cost anything. The guy was really nice, but I couldn't get a word in and didn't feel like fighting so I went along with it. My card was charged and the appointment scheduled for 60 days in advance, on April 2nd. On 2/4 I called to cancel, stating that because I was a first time home owner buying a home by myself, I couldn't afford the service for a three year contract. He canceled it, after trying to talk me out of it. You know, like they do. My money is refunded. Then it starts. February 5th, 1:04 pm, I get a call on my cell phone from New Jersey phone number. It's someone named Lucy calling from EverSafe Security doing a courtesy call to get my appointment rescheduled. I didn't call back. On February 8th, 9:24 am she called again and left a voicemail. Seven minutes later at 9:31 am she called again and I answered. I stated that I canceled the appointment on purpose and I didn't want to reschedule, or have anyone call me back. She hung up on me. February 9th, 1:39 pm, she called back, I didn't hear the phone ring, but she left another voicemail. Fast forward to February 14th. A voicemail is left on my work phone number from someone whose name I didn't catch, asking if they can reschedule my appointment. I call them back on February 15th, and ask do be put on the do not call list. He says he will do that for me. Later in the day on February 15th, I receive a call from Dennis on my cell phone. I tell him that I've received quite a few calls, and that I don't want anyone to call me anymore. He tells me that he is a supervisor, and so he will make sure I'm actually put on the do not call list. Now it's March 12th. I receive another call from a 201 #, so I know what to expect. It's my good ol' buddy Dennis again. I tell him that I was told no one would call me. He hangs up on me. March 23rd. I receive a phone call from Alex. He sees that I canceled my appointment and was calling to find out why. Then he asks if I've been called multiple times already. I say, ""Yes, about 15 times"". He says, ""You don't have to say anything else. I'll remove you from our system."" Forgive me if I'm skeptical. I don't know what I have to do to get rid of these people, but I'm starting to see red everytime my phone tells me a 201 area code is calling me. more

Very Bad Company 10/14/2010

Do not use this company, very deceiving came out to install system and saw I had a very large dog. He?s 8 months old and already 90lbs over the limit for running censor the correct way. Technician didn?t say anything about dog, put system in. He screwed entry censors into my steel doors, ruined them. The wires they ran to phone system don?t even have wire nuts to cover exposed wires. This would not pass code through our township! Contacted them the day they installed because I found out that my dog could not be roaming around when we were not home, set off alarm. Was then told then censor could not work while he was out, tried to offer me upgrades then ranging from $189.00-$750.00. If they said that this system wouldn?t have worked for us in the first place and that we need these additional services. I would have flat out told them not to hook anything up. Anyhow I cancelled service with ADT (3 day cancellation contract), and stopped payment on installation check to Ever Safe. Just waiting for them to come pick up their cheap system (said it would be an $850 of free equipment-NOT!!!!!) Then figure up how to patch everything up afterwards. I highly recommend you do not use this company!!! more

I talked to an (2-24-2010) Ever safe Security(Rep).I told him that my wife was followed home and that I wanted a security system put into my house.He said that the fact that she was followed home, he would give me 2 additional key fobs aside from what I would already be getting in the contract that was discussed.When I received the email confirming what I would be receiving,it didn't have the 2 additional key fobs.He stated that I shouldn't worry since this is what I will be getting under the contract and that the 2 key fobs were being comped to me at NO additional charge.I also told him that I had an existing panel and monitors in the house, his reply was that the techs can comp me in exchange for other things in the house such as motion sensors or window monitors, any additional monitors would be $40.The Tech showed up and told me that any additional monitor would be $80 and that he was exchanging the 2 key fobs for components that I was supposed to receive according to the contract.They put 1 door monitor in and a motion sensor and 1 key-fob.I did not receive the panel, the 2 additional monitors or the key pad that was listed in the agreement.When I called the rep, he told me that they should have comped me. Then they call me and tell me, I need a panel with more zones since the one I have is full and they would need to have more zones if I were to get the additional monitors.I told them that I never received my original panel and that they should just swap the one I was supposed to get with the new panel.The reply was that they wanted $150 in order for them to install it.I told them that since I never received what I was told over the phone, that they come and take out what was theirs and cancel the service. I have been calling them almost every day and keep getting the run around. I got to leave a voice mail with rep's boss with no reply.My system was not fully functioning until Three weeks ago as well! 03-29-2010 still not resolved. I thought companies like this are supposed to protect me from thieves, yet they're the one robbing people blind! Pros: None what so ever Cons: Bad sales tactics, do not honor what is discussed more

This is a very dishonest company that uses con artists to make money, isn't that called theft. Watch the contract they have you sign the front,never mentioning there is a back. They keep it on a clip board.The trick is to get you to sign a three year contract without knowing, allowing them to collect the first year and ADT the remaining two. After you obtain the service they can care less about customer service and repairing any problem with the system. Trust me, go elsewhere, tell family and friends, there con seem to target excited new home owners. How can Eversafe/ADT owners sleep at night. Cons: Horrible,Mean, Thieves more

They sent a person with questionable mental state to our house. My wife and I think he was on heavy prescription medication. Shortly after he left the system stopped working. They told me several time they would fix the problem over the phone line. But it never got resolved. They scheduled a service appointment without telling us they were coming to our house. The only reason I even found out about the service call was because I called into ADT main office to complain about them and they told me that Eversafe set up an appointment... He never showed up for the appointment... This company is a flat out scam. They trick you into signing a 3yr contract and then never show up. Then try and charge you for early termination fees. I am totally in shock as to how bad a company this is. I would pay an extra 1k to have somebody else do the job. TOTAL SCAM!!! Pros: Fast Service Cons: Bad Service more

The WORST company I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with!! 6/3/2008

They used some of the most shocking practices to con my wife into a three year contract, then never made any attempt to fulfill their end of the contract. Thus, they never monitored our alarm, nor serviced it, in fact, the only thing they have ever done is threaten us when we refused to pay. I would steer well clear of this company, shady, dishonest and unethical is the best way to describe them. Pros: None whatsoever..... Cons: Taking up valuable resources on our planet! more
