Enterprise Rent-A-Car

My last experience was far from positive. I got charged for the gps tracking system twice and have not received a response from the Company despite calling and having the phone ring with no one answering. I also emailed them with no response. The extra charges were $44.00 so no small charge. The GPS system also was not the greatest. The real point here is that they charged me after the fact and added that to my credit card which I now have to dispute and no one answers the phone or is responding to my email. I am not happy with my most recent experience and I am finding the company's lack of responding to emails or answering the phone troubling, not to mention the incorrect charge for the tracking system of $88 for three days. I often rent from Enterprise when I travel to MO. They are quick, efficient, and friendly at the airport. They offer all the upgrades, bells, and whistles, but explain them carefully along with any additional costs. They are not pushy, though, just informative, and don't pull any gimmicks if you decline. The big cost of renting a car at KCI comes in the taxes, which are usually half of the total rental cost. The taxes for things like arenas and facilities never touched by a traveler are a huge ripoff, but Enterprise has always worked well for me. more

I rented a midsize car (Toyota Corolla) on Monday, 9/22. I was planning to drop it off Saturday, 9/27. I received the weekly rate of $115.68 for a total bill of $199.83. I dropped the car off a day early, Friday 9/26. Can you guess what they did? By dropping it off a day early, I was no longer eligible for the weekly rate. So they removed the weekly rate from my bill and replaced it with a daily rate of $170.88 for a total bill of $851.48. I probably could have rented a stretched hummer limo with a chauffeur for that daily rate. It took me four phone calls to reach someone. First I called 800-264-6350. The automated system transferred me to an Austin location. He could only give me the number for the Kansas City airport location. Second I called 816-464-2500. The phone just rang and rang for about a minute. Third I called the 800 number again. While I was waiting for the billing department, I was disconnected. Fourth I called the 800 number again.
