Don't expect service 9/28/2006

My husband stopped into El Coyote's for a seafood enchilada and waited 50 minutes for it. There was some party of 40 in an upstairs room and they prepared their order in front of one measly enchilada. That is terrible service! On top of that, they overcharged him by 10 dollars. He got that straightened out, but they weren't very apologetic about the whole thing. Most decent restaurants would have comped the meal for someone who waited this long with no explanation. He also waited a long time for a water refill. He watched other diners get chips and salsa, but they never brought any to his table until he asked. A waiter knocked his fork off the table and forgot to replace it. My husband is president of a Cincinnati company and had planned on having a sales meeting in the upstairs room at the Edgewood location. After this shoddy treatment, he will search for another venue. I tried to send a comment to them, but when you fill it out, it won't go through.\r \r more

Lucky me! 3/3/2003

My wife and I have just moved into town, we can drink the Margaritas, have a great meal, and friendly service from the same familiar faces!! This is a good restaurant with fun people working it. We're lucky to have this place so close to us! Make sure you try the Carne Asada - by far their stand out. more

Lower Your Expectations 2/12/2003

My husband and I have been dining at El Coyote for many years and know what to expect along the lines of food and service. On our last visit, however, we were surprised by the higher price of our favorite meals and by the lower willingness to accomodate. The ""hostess"" was actually rude to us. It will be a while before we consider visiting this old favorite again. Pros: taste of food, convenient parking Cons: rude hostess, higher pricing, lack of nonsmoking more

Sadly, I'll Not Be Back 9/13/2002

After many fine meals at the Anderson El Coyote, I'm sad to say I can't go back. I'd come to expect a Rubyesque steak at a fair price. Tonight, a young manager made an unforgiveable mistake. My wife and I ordered the Porterhouses done medium. Our steaks came out rare. We asked nicely that they be re-done correctly. What we got in return were the same two steaks that were now dried out and well done. We asked the manager to please make us two new steaks, again, medium. We got medium-well on the strip and the filet was well done. Time to cut our losses. What we got was a bill for both steaks, drinks, and appetizers. The manager accused us of trying to get a free meal. What he neglected to notice was that we had left a $20 on the table for the server for her trouble. more
