I was shocked that they demanded my FULL deductible. I told them that I had already been seen by someone else and that my insurance would be applying that visit to my deductible. ...

professional, caring and thorough 5/5/2011

I am a new Gentry patient and have found her to be professional, caring and thorough. My recent visits with her have included an annual check-up and outpatient pre and post surgery appointments. During each visit she responded to all of my questions and explained the procedure I was to undergo as well as a post-surgery presentation complete with my own set of photos (and yes, I wanted them). Although I was kept waiting on my very first visit (one of her patients dared to give birth during MY appointment time) and became a bit agitated, a departing patient whispered to me, ""Dr. Gentry is worth waiting for."" She certainly is. more

I cannot say enough good things about her 5/2/2011

If you want the best you wait, just like the previous poster said. If you want mediocre care, then go elsewhere and you probably will be seen quickly because their patient load is small, but there is a reason for that. Dr. Gentry is beautiful, kind, and brilliant. I cannot say enough good things about her. more

Flexible, courteous and good info 4/27/2011

Dr. Gentry ROCKS! 4/25/2011

Dr. Gentry ROCKS! I was having horrible periods for years. I started missing work, and staying home because it was just that awful. My general doctor just kept giving me various birth control pills...yuk!..Then I heard Doctor Gentry who actually advises alternative medicine, acupuncture AND does that 'minimally invasive surgery' thing. She immediately took me off the pills and checked hormone levels and sent me for some other tests. She found the problem and did a quick procedure to fix it. I am cured! I no longer have to worry about the wicked curse every month. more

provided great insight into alternative options 4/15/2011

After going to my initial gynecologist for a number of years, I wanted a second opinion. Dr. Gentry not only gave me a better understanding of my disease, she provided great insight into alternative options for pain management. more

Dr. Gentry is fantastic 4/14/2011

Dr. Gentry is fantastic. I discovered her a few years ago when I was dealing with a girly medical issue - long story short, she was amazing in dealing with a scary problem. She spends lots of time with her patients and is great with questions. I had outpatient surgery and have been fine ever since! She's definitely a popular doctor, so call early to make an appointment. Dr. Chan (the other OB-GYN in her practice) is also fantastic, so see her if you can't get in to Dr. Gentry. Five stars! more

She is worth the wait! 4/13/2011

She has a ton of patients, but she really does make you feel like you are her focus when she is with you. She always made sure she didn't talk to me in 'doctor-speak' as she called it, and made sure I understood the plan. She is worth the wait! more

Elo was fabulous 4/11/2011

I love her M.A. too! 3/22/2011

Dr. G's M.A. Trisha is great. She knows how much I hate the scale and although it's part of my office visit she makes light of it by encouraging me to close my eyes. Trisha is a wonderful M.A. that really adds to the office experience. more

Great office staff 3/17/2011

Her office staff is very warm and friendly. They welcome me every time despite I may not be in the best of moods when I arrive. more

She's gone green 3/15/2011

Dr. G has gone green. They are on a paperless medical record system which is a plus especially when considering the environment. This system cuts back on wait times and really gives the doctor a greater view of the patient before she even see's you. more

Amazing Staff 3/14/2011

Dr. Gentry and her staff are an amazing team. In 2007 she delivered my daughter which was an amazing experience. Dr. Gentry really supported and encouraged me through out my child birth and never left my side until the baby and myself were ok and in recovering. I'm now expecting child #2 and have had countless office visits with Dr. Gentry. more

Trustworthy 3/10/2011

She knows what she's doing 3/8/2011

I was referred to this doctor by a relative after being in another health care system. My original health care system was associated with a University, where I was told mis-information numerous times. In the old system, I went in for fibroids and ovarian cysts. An IUD was recommended and during the procedure to address the fibroids the IUD was supposed to be placed. When went to the doctors pre-op, I was told which doctor who would be doing the survey; however, the day of surgery, I was informed that the doctor was just going to observe and a resident would be doing the actual survey. It felt like the old bail and switch, but I was already there and ready, so I went ahead. BIG MISTAKE! Not only did they have problems with the fibroids, they put a hole in my uterus (claimed very small, so the doctor - not resident!). Everything I read indicated they would not place an IUD if there was a hole, but these people did anyway. Therefore, by the time I was finished with my old health care system, I had 3 problems instead of just two (IUD in abdomen). Their solution- hysterectomy (as symptom control). Conversely, at Dr. Gentry's offie, I found a caring, knowledgable, and professional doctor, who understood my concerns. At this office, I did not have to worry if she was going to be the one doing the actually surgery. She gave me time to make a decision considering my options and never did she mention that my best plan of action was a hysterectomy. The day of surgery, I felt confident that my problems would be taken care of. After surgery (my surgery option only required a 1 night stay in a hospital and 2 weeks off), she visited my in the hospital. I actually found out that the IUD had not migrated to my abdomen but in fact was in my cervix, because the old doctor had made another pathway and missed my uterus entirely. Since the surgery, my symptoms have gone away and I thankful for this doctor's help. more
