RUN away and NEVER work for this place. I worked there and got a call from Hancock Memorial hosiptal saying my young child was being seen and these people would NOT relieve me so i could go to be with my small child. I ended up calling the boss and telling her she had 5 mins or i was leaving the clients alone. I worked 60+ hours a week for this place and got NOTHING in return!!!!! They claim to give bounus and you NEVER get them... THIS IS THE WORST JOB EVER. I even reported them to the BBB and they are always in trouble with the state of Indiana for the way they run their business more

i worked for they 4 years and they don't care about anything but themselfs .they had a meeting called all staff to it the first thing he said is i gave myself a $40,000 rase . then he said we are taken all you holladay pay and any rases we gave out from you.\r we are hoping you care enuff for the consumers to sty for them. the next meeting they took our pto money from us. thay don,t care about the consumers they drug them so bad smme of them don,t know what they are doing. the state would not give them the money they wanted for one consumer . so they didn't pay the bills ane got the lights turned off. they are back home with mom now ( best thing for them ) they aren't so druged up that they can't write theire name any more.\r if you just want a little money work for them . but if you care about the consumers don't .if he don't have the staff he will have to change his ways to get it or sell out to a better company that cares . and that would be best for the consumers.\r they spent money like crazy the first of the year and know taken from the ones that do all the work so he can make him self look good on paper.\r i know someone that done christmas three years for the consumers and took hundread of dollers of food to the consumers . and all they got from dsa was if you do this agene we will get you for neglece. for not telling anyone thay needed food. all the rc's and some ad's know about it. so if you want to be treeted like trash work for them. more

I actually still work for this company. Its a sad situtation. Things are falling apart. I've been with this company for 12 years, and they keep getting themselves in trouble they've changed thier company names at least 3 times. I feel bad becuase I have developed relationships with so many people but it seems it is getting harder and harder everyday becuase of the deciscions that this company keeps making. I don't know what they are thinking but I really feel another name change is coming agian. I am going to school and finishing my degree and as soon as its done I am so out of this place! Terrible experience 2/2/2010

Unless you are super human and don't lead a life of your own, do not work here. From the direct care to the RDs, they are all ran down and under staffed. There seems like there is a lot of training and classes at first but once you are in the home, the training tends to cease and you are just asked to sign papers saying you were told this and that. From my understanding until fairly recently the human resource dept had been a huge chaotic mess. Direct care staff can expect to get looked down upon by most of the management staff and are expected to work regardless of scheduling. There have been times where the schedules were not given until the day before the week began, if that and you never have a set schedule. Some staff are unable to just change shifts and one day you will be working 1st then the next schedule due to ""what had to be done"" you are on 3rd. It is truly sad what the consumers go through with no consistency of employees who really care about them. The staff that care are taken advantage of and burnt out, the staff that just want money don't give good care. Cons: Unhealthy work environment more

Let me just warn you that if you decide to work for this company, you are in for a hell ride. First off, when you work with the consumers, its just great! Fantastic times. But when the management people come around everything sucks! DSA has no idea how to run a group home. Its so crazy. We are supposed to be taking care of the consumers and following the state guidelines. So when state is not around they don't care, and they will do whatever they want, but when state comes around everything changes and then they pretend that they follow the rules. THEY ARE ONLY WORRIED ABOUT MONEY .... how do i know this.. go to google and type in DSA (space) FSSA.... their you will find the current court case against DSA for stealing 361,000 from the state...this is DSA to a T. I hope that the consumers don't get burned for the mistakes of piss poor corporate. \r Also read the comment about Tonia.. She has no idea what she is doing. So delusional and needs to get a clue of how to be management. She belongs in a group home! Pros: the consumers Cons: the whole company more

bad management 7/9/2009

If you plan on working here be prepared to be pushed around. The Rd's are great and will work with you as well as most of your co-wokers. Most of the group homes are good to work in becuase of the clients, a couple group homes are not so fun. Just beware of TOP management. They NO NOTHING about working in a group home. Its trully sad becuase you, and your co-workers, and your RD and AD's know what your going through but corporate management don't get it. Especially a women named TONIA. Watch out for her, she's cold hearted and thinks she's above everyone else. The owners are trully down to earth people and try and look out for thier company. They expect the best and nothing is wrong with that! Just beware agian of TONIA. Not a nice lady and will treat you like trash becuase you are below her....in her eye's of course. Pros: good co-wokers and clients Cons: horrible management more
