Great Service 9/28/2011

I came in with some problems with my muffler and it turned out the bulk of my exhaust system needed to be replaced. Though that's not the greatest news Frank was wonderful in explaining everything to me and making sure I was comfortable with all the work being done. They even got all the work done in one day which was extremely convinent for me since I commute everyday to work. I would definitely go to them again! more

Very good automotive repair 9/5/2011

This is easily the best automotive repair shop I've ever used. Pat and Frank couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. They make sure all of your questions are answered and will discuss any options available. I take my vehicle to the dealership where I purchased it on occasion, but I never fully trust their suggestions. At Douglas, I never get the feeling they are trying to up-sell services that are unnecessary. more

Great job, expertly done 8/28/2011

My first experience with Douglas Automotive was delightful. It was the first time that I talked with a mechanic where I didn't feel like a lamb going to slaughter. The team here fully explained the vehicle's problem, and the cost to fix it. Best of all, all work was completed the same day. I love that I didn't have to wait for parts to be shipped in. more

Good service but pricey 8/11/2011

Recently did a batch of services which also included a brake flush for which I was charged $109(P&L) for an old accord. 2 days later I did a brake flush on a recent year BMW 5 at the dealer and was charged $87. I also found out that the brake flush on my Honda would have cost me $69 at the dealer. So pricey, yes - but quality of work - very good. more

find another place to fix your car 7/28/2011

I've been to Douglas before, but today was a poor experience. A very padded bill for work that probably didn't need to be done (well before scheduled replacement), and was "authorized" by my wife without telling her the cost (they claimed they did - so I guess she's a liar in their eyes). In the end, it was a $450 oil change. A cabin air filter cost over $100 - versus $60 at the dealer. Integrity? I don't think so. We'll see if this post ever goes public. more

Excellent Service 7/7/2011

Called to have my car inspected for it's 45K check-up. Called and immediately had an appointment the next day. Douglass charged a fraction of what the dealership wanted for the check up. They did a thorough overview - Very satisfed with the service, professional courtesy and overall integrity of the shop. Will defintely take my car there in the future and recommend to my family and friends. more

Douglas Comes Through! 6/25/2011

Monday morning 7 AM, pulling out of my garage all of the "danger Will Robinson!" lights come on. I drive to Douglas, they arrange for my rental, take me to my 7:30 appointment in town, and get me on my way. The car gets fixed, and I pick up after hours and drop off my rental at their shop. When car trouble happens, its nice to know that you have a trusted group of people taking care of you! more

Oil change with no appointment 6/24/2011

Doug and Frank were very helpfull in accomodating my needs. They had me in and out within 30 minutes and I had no appointment. They changed oil and checked on some other concerns I had about the vehicle. The waiting room is excellent, they have free wireless available, so I was able to get work done while I waited. Overall, great experience with Douglas Automotive and I have already referred them to others. Thank you, Mick Meyer. more
