These guys are great. Sold me a fantastic hot tub at an unbelievable price, delivery was quick and hassle free. Hughsten did a very detailed demonstration of our hot tub and its features. He made sure we understood everything we need to about our hot tub and water chemistry upon delivery. I'm very happy I didn't let a couple disgruntled reviews keep me from dealing with this first class organization!!! We couldn’t be happier. HIGHLY RECONMEND!!!! more

Hughsten is great to work with. He did a great comparison between Jacuzzi hot tubs and other tubs we had looked at. My husband and I did a test soak in a hot tub that he had full of water. We had no idea there are so many things to know about a hot tub. Hughsten made us feel very comfortable, didn’t pressure us at all, answered all of our questions, and helped with picking out the tub that best fit our needs. He even helped pick a color. The hot tub arrived just as we ordered it. Hughsten came set everything up for us, spent over an hour showing us how to work our hot tub and how to use the chemicals to maintain the hot tub. We did have a few questions afterwards and called Hughsten for help. He was more than happy to help even though I called three different times. I had only heard about Southern Gentleman but had never met on until Hughsten. I never heard so many yes maam and no maam's in my life. It was very sweet. He is an absolute professional in everything he did. It’s reassuring knowing that Designer Spas has been in San Diego for over 20 years. So many stores have gone out of business lately. If you're looking for a great hot tub, dependable retailer and fantastic salesperson, please go see this place. You'll not be disappointed!! Tell Hughsten Nancy set you! ;) more

I read the negative review but had to see for myself if things were as bad as these reviews, its hard to believe a business could survive if the reviews were correct. From the time we entered we felt comfortable and welcome. The manager was great and he knew more about Jacuzzi and the other hot tubs we looked at then one person should. I asked about the reviews and he explained that he knows one of the reviews was written by a competing sales person from the Del Mar fair. He didn't know about any others, they are under new ownership and management and want to make every customer happy and comfortable. We did go to the other store in Carlsbad just to see what else was out there but they didn't show the dedication or have the charm we experienced at Designer Spas. The hot tub we really liked cost $1200 more at the Carlsbad store. We went back to Designer Spas bought a great hot tub, really enjoyed working with them and everything was better than we were told, from delivery to getting started with our new hot tub. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOT TUB AND SOMEONE WHO REALLY TAKES GOOD CARE OF YOU BY DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY, PLEASE BUY A JACUZZI FROM DESIGNER SPAS. more

This outfit is TERRIBLE!!! Run as fast as you can!\r \r I met there sales people at the San Diego Fair and the story the salesman \r told me about there spas sounded to good to be true. I decided to do my research and found out that the salesman out and out lied to me on multiple \r things! He touted NO Chemicals in the spa and that they warranty there ""special"" jets for 5 years plus the cabinet had a lifetime warranty on it.\r \r All lies. I would not purchase a tub from them at half price now! Then I found out that just weeks before the fair they changed there name to Jacuzzi of San Diego and in the last several years they have moved there store several times. I am suprised that a name like Jacuzzi would be associated with such \r a poorly managed outfit. \r \r I do believe Jacuzzi has an EXCELLENT product but there are other dealers in the area who will be honest up front and give you a fair price! more

These guys don't care out you. They just want your wallet. Come on, they are like used car sales guys. They give you the story about Jacuzzi but that's about all. They can't get the order right. They don't care after you pay for the spa. They don't know anything about water care nor do they even have a spa tech. I think the sales guy pretends he is the tech.
