I do NOT believe these reviews one bit. This woman is a scammer. I am in Chicago. We found Rhonda through Craigslist.\r \r We ordered furniture through her ""company"" - a bedroom set and dining room table. The dining room table came on the second delivery and was scratched all to heck. I refused delivery of it.\r \r She demanded cash as payment in the beginning. We refused. DO NOT PAY CASH IF YOU INSIST ON BUYING! We paid with credit card through her husband's DDS and, boy, am I glad we did because we had NOTHING but problems.\r \r A U-Haul truck showed up at our house for the first delivery missing pieces (a nightstand missing, knobs for dresser missing although dresser was there, dining room table missing). Some pieces were immaculate and beautiful! Some pieces were not. We purchased the Martha Stewart Bernhardt set.\r \r When pieces were missing, she promised another delivery....and that's the last we would have ever heard from her if not for my barage of emails and phone calls. More than 6 months went by with my calling and emailing but I only received false promises or no response. I threatened legal action a dozen times. Finally filed a credit card dispute after talking to my credit card company.\r \r I see her posting to Craigslist a ton (even today). BUYER BEWARE! What we bought was a good deal but it turned into a NIGHTMARE dealing with her. I regret it. more

My husband and I just relocated to the mountains of NC, after living in Florida for about 10 years. We love it! We purchased a home that was about 1500 sq ft less than our Florida home, so we needed help in deciding where to put our existing furniture. We also did not know where to put our personal things that we had collected over our 37 years of marriage. I found the ad in a local magazine about Design Doctors and gave them a call. What a life saver. They not only found the perfect places for all my things, but recovered a sofa and two chairs and refinished a dining table that had been in my husbands family. They also brought in a new coffee table, and another leather recliner for my husband. And to pull it all together, a beautiful rug was placed in the living room. I love our new home. It does feel like we have lived here forever, not just a couple of months. Hooray for Design Doctors. more

I really appreciate this company. I recently had a friend refer me to Design Doctors. They had used them a couple of years ago, and so I decided to meet with them. I really liked most of the things I already owned, but couldn't seem to pull it all together. They met with me again after the initial meeting, and showed me some things they felt would help to make everything work for my rooms. Now that we have completed everything, I am totally amazed at what they did. They moved a piece of furniture that was in the living room, upstairs, to our landing area. Now, when you walk into my home, your eyes are pulled up to look at that piece and my high ceilings. I love it! I really am thankful that I heeded my friends advice and made that call. more

I found this company on Craigslist and was excited that they had the high brands of furniture. I was very skeptical. But, I called them, and they asked for a deposit on the furniture that I was wanting to order and I gave them a deposit via credit card. I waited only about three weeks, and my furniture was delivered. I was really very surprised at the quality of furniture. It was a Bernhardt Dining Room that I had priced here in the Atlanta area for about one third more than Design Doctors had priced it. I am very happy. I would recommend them again. I have asked them for additional furniture and am waiting for them to deliver again. more

Thank you is not enough. I recently was looking for chairs for a dining room that I had purchased years ago, and discontinued. Rhonda was so helpful and found the chairs. They are perfect. And, she also visited my home when she came to my area to give me some design ideas. I was so impressed that I went ahead and booked the home makeover. It was absolutely beyond my imagination. She brought in her people, they moved all my things around, and it was an amazing transformation. I would highly recommend this company for furniture and design. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE GOOD REVIEWS :) I am glad that I had a friend that referred this company to me. I needed design services and wanted to purchase furniture and after tireless trips trying to figure this out myself, I admitted defeat. I just could not get the job done on my own.\r I found both the services and prices excellent! The attention to detail and the quality of my new furniture exceeded my expectations (which were high to begin with). Love my home and Rhonda gave me exactly what she promised. My husband and I just retired to Florida and needed help decorating our new home. We needed some new furniture and had older items that I wanted to keep. She was referred to me by a friend from Raleigh/Cary NC. I have always been afraid to hire designers because they usually come with a hefty price tag and it always seems to have too much of a furniture store look. Not only did she find me great prices on new furniture(discontinued pieces), she also worked in my old stuff and made it all work together.\r Will definitely refer her anytime, had a great first experience and really enjoy coming home to see her beautiful work. more

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I purchased a discontinued Bernhardt sideboard from Rhonda in November 2012. The ad said everything was new in the box. The piece arrived and it was nice, but it took me about 30 minutes to figure out that the piece was not new in the box...matter of fact, it had been repainted in a matte finish and the 24kt hardware was missing and replaced with cheap hardware from Home Depot. I contacted Rhonda and she said she would have the second piece she had in storage delivered in the beginning of January which never happened. I have sent her several follow up emails and she has not responded. Unethical and Unprofessional!!!! more

buyer beware it took over 5 months for her to complete my home. she took it upon herself to order things i did not approve of, delivered a steamer trunk that had dried dirt in the bottom then wanted to charge 200.00 to have it refurbished. there was no written contract wanted 50% upfront and balance upon completion. after 4 months she asked for an additional 10K then 1 week later more money. if you do use her (for any reason) make sure you write check payable to her company (not her or her husband) she will ask you to make the first payment by check payable to herself......DON'T DO IT MAKE THE CHECK PAYABLE TO HER COMPANY AND GET A POWER POINT OF WHAT EVERYTHING WILL COST. she overcharged us and i plan to hire a lawyer when we move down from NJ. more

I am from Georgia so I had never heard of them before....I stumbled on an add for a table that sounded to good to be true. I got the new table for way under retail price. They delivered it to my home in less then a week and the delivery guys were super nice and Rhonda kept in good communication through out the process. Our table is gorgeous and I will definitely be referring my friends to her and buying more furniture through her in the future. Thanks Rhonda! more

I am very particular about the furniture I buy and was very impressed with the pricing and outstanding service I received from Rhonda. She is extremely knowledgable and sent me photos and suggestions right away for review. I found exactly what I was looking for at an outstanding value. I couldn't believe how quickly my delivery arrived to the Midwest and her team members were so professional. I will certainly contact her again in the very near future for additional purchases and highly recommend her company. more

Wow! My new Martha Stewart bedroom (poster bed, dresser, night stand and armoire) is beautiful!! I had a very positive experience with Rhonda and Design Doctors. I found the site online and even though I have ordered furniture online before, I am always hesitant to purchase something sight unseen and not from a local store. I was not disappointed and love my furniture. It arrived in oerfect condition. The delivery crew was pleasant and very conscientious during the move in. They were careful with the furniture and took precautions to protect my floors as they moved this very heavy and bulky furniture into the house. No problems here and I would recommend them to others. You can't beat the prices. more

UPDATE: Finally received my table, with no notice and no followup from Rhonda. This is typical of her poor level of customer service and care. Probably why she has the lowest rating BBB gives. I was then pressured to remove my negative review--which I won't. It should not take nine months and the threat of a lawsuit to get a piece of furniture delivered. And just a note of caution--don't expect any help from her husband, the dentist Dr. Lestage. When Rhonda wouldn't return my pleading emails and phone calls, I called him...and he wouldn't even take my call! These are bad people. I would ingore all their glowing reviews that have ""Divine!"" in the title...my guess is they write them themselves. I am waiting for Rhonda to reply. She shipped me a Martha Stewart table about a month ago. I was replacing one damaged by a film crew and I told her clearly and specifically it had to be new and unopened and not in any way damaged or ""used"" in her staging business. She PROMISED me it was, and I have the emails to prove it. It came damaged, scratched, with leafs that didn't even fit, and with hardware clearly removed from the underside of the table! In other words, it had been opened, used, and abused. I sent it back and expected her to refund my Pay Pal account since she said it was her ""last"" table of that type that she had in stock. Imagine my surprise when she told me she had four more! She said she would ship another one right away. That was over a month ago. There have been no follow ups, no phone calls, and of course no table. Two weeks ago she said the delay was due to the ""furniture show"" in High Point, and promised the table would go out ""right away."" Again, a false promise; no table came and there was no followup. I emailed Rhonda two days ago and have had no response. Now I've told her to reply by tomorrow or to refund my Pay Pal account. I'll re-report tomorrow to let everyone know whether I have to escalate this further. There are other warnings about her on other sites...I should have heeded them. UPDATE: I gave Rhonda one last chance to make good on my table. She promised delivery by the end of February and lied again. Now I have to file with PayPal for my deposit to be returned. Do not believe anything this woman says. She has zero ethics and is a serial liar. Ugh...frustrating... more

I purchased a Dining Group from Rhonda and am thrilled with the entire experience. The price, the quality , the delivery were perfect from beginning to end. The follow-up and customer service made for a divine overall experience. The delivery men were respectful and careful in my home, and made me feel at ease. Hi everyone, I purchased a BEAUTIFUL Bernhardt bedroom set from Rhonda and it was delivered this past weekend. I literally stepped out on faith and was not disappointed. Not only have I purchased an item this big without seeing it in person, I had to meet all the expectations of my husband. Rhonda said the set was beautiful, but I tell you it is GORGEOUS!!! He said he wanted the armoire and she has that too! She had everything we needed an even more. She has a client for life and both my husband and I look forward to working with her in the future. I purchased a bedroom from Rhonda and it is perfect. It was an easy process and I would purchase again. I love my bedroom! The item was as described and in perfect condition. She was available for me to speak with her when I had a question about what to use for product to clean my new furniture, great insight and helpful hints. I just wanted to make sure I gave a ""shout out"" of great service, great price and great furniture - sometimes all you get to hear are negative BUT my experience was positive!
