Groupon is hurting your business. I love a good deal, but the service you provide when a customer uses a Groupon is very disappointing. All windows were very streaky, plastic over speedometer was streaky, water and soap marks on b-pillar, water spots on side view mirrors, significant brake dust between spokes on wheels, etc. If you can't offer a quality service at a discount, then stop offering the discount. I have always washed and waxed my own vehicles but was finally gave in to a professional job. Needless to say, I'll be going back to detailing my own cars again. \r \r A word of advice: If you're going to detail cars, pay attention to the details. more

After purchasing a groupon and really struggling to get an appointment, I had to call them the morning of my appointment to reschedule due to a sick child at home. Their answer - they won't honor the full groupon because it's after the expiration date. Nice, so because my kid is sick, I can't get my deal? Based on this, and the other negative reviews that I have read, I cannot recommend this business to others.\r \r more

Using a Living Social deal, we called Derek's in Issaquah and confirmed we could extend the expiration date. My husband used his cert, no problem - and the job they did detailing was fine. I made an appointment for mine, went in today and was told we couldn't use the cert (paid $50 for $100 and was going to spend another $40 on top to get both the inside and outside done) - again, after confirming with them it was fine. New manager who said he wasn't the one we talked to said if he couldn't confirm he would get his money out of Living Social, then no coupon use for us. And somehow he couldn't. I called LS (after 10 minutes on hold), they said yes it was good and they should have honored it. Won't use either Derek's or Living Social again. Beware; hope you don't have a similar situation. more

I drove from Kenmore to have our detail done! I used a Groupon and found everything to be excellent with our service and the details. I made an appointment with Exar and he booked my F-250 truck for that same week. I was concerned that with a black truck they might not be able to keep the swirl marks out of it and remove the fine everyday scratches.... Exar assured me they were right for the job and they did know how to detail black trucks. I arrived to have Nesi and Exar meet me at the front counter and check my truck in. I left the truck and received a call as soon as it was ready... great communication from their front desk. Pick-up was easy and they did an excellent job detailing my truck, inside and out! My wife decided to leave her car when we picked up my truck; they did an excellent job on her Prius, inside and out. I will use this location again, the staff was great and I felt they did a great job on both details. more

Derek, I really hope you read this because you're doing it wrong! You're supposed to use Groupon to EARN new customers not drive them away!! I used a Groupon today for the #9 exterior detail which was supposed to include a hand wash, clay bar, polish, and wax. When I went to pickup my car, I noticed: -Bumps in my paint when running my hand over it (using a clay bar correctly should remove all the bumps and other junk that washing leaves behind) -Fine swirl marks in my paint (polishing should take out all the fine swirl marks in the paint) -Brake dust all over my wheels and dirt on my fender. C'mon guys--I wash my car cleaner than that!! -Dust/dirt on the headrests behind my seats. Shouldn't they be paying attention to these details when ""detailing"" a car??? To their credit, they took the car back in and re-did the service. The car was finally clean after the second try. However, there are still A TON of fine swirl marks in the paint all over my car. I didn't say anything because I don't want them working on my car any longer. I really regret purchasing the Groupon and taking my car there. In hindsight, I would've paid a REAL detailer $200 to detail my car right from the beginning. more

This place was awful.. I bought the groupon for the full interior and exterior and can honestly say that my car was dirtier upon pickup than it was when I dropped it off. I have a 2011 Audi which is generally kept very clean and decided to get it detailed after driving cross country. It honestly didn't need much work to begin with, so it should have been an easy job for them. Upon my arrival the receptionist (who was nice) informed me that on top of the groupon that I had already paid for, I had to pay an extra $19 for the tax on the full-priced service. This was irritating, because had the groupon been $20 more, I definitely wouldn't have purchased it. After keeping my car for around an hour and a half, they called and I went to pick it up. The entire stereo center console was dripping and smudged with some sort of cleaner. I asked them to wipe it down and noticed drips and areas they'd missed everywhere.. I also took a quick walk around the car and noticed that not one bug that I had driven in with had been removed from the front of my car. I seriously doubt that they hand waxed it at all.. they probably just rinsed it off with a hose and threw some tire shine on it. So after sending it back for bug removal and stereo de-gunkification, they brought it back out, after scratching the hell out of my headlight cover. I guess they'd taken something sharp to scrape the bugs off, not thinking about it. They took it back again to 'fix it' and then brought it back out with little change to the horribly scratched headlight cover. I asked for a manager and he took it back and buffed it. It's still scratched but looks slightly better now. I was just too irritated to send it back any more times. I will never go back here, ever. Save yourself the headache and the possible damage to your car. Find somewhere better! more

I just had the best detail on our cadillac! A year or so ago my husband had spilled a large container of broccoli soup, (yes, and it was hot) all over the back seat. We had the car detailed 2X and they couldn't get the entire smell out. We are now going to sell the car and wanted to get it detailed. Went to Dereks Auto Detail in Issaquah and they got the smell out and the car looks brand new!!! They were extremely professional and so nice. I would highly recommend them. In fact, they were so kind as to give me a coupon for my next visit which I will be doing very soon. more

I've always detailed my own car, yet when Groupon came out with a $200 credit at Derek's, I was giddy in thinking of the 4 or 5 hours I would save by having someone else take care of the nitty gritty. I have a Lexus GX470 SUV, kids and dogs. Those of you who can relate, know how grungy the inside and outside can become. Yuck! The detail: Main areas clean, well done. Corners, crevices and edges (on the seats for the seat belt buckles, for example) not good. My car does have a musty odor from the shampooing...it's been a week of trying to air it out and that hasn't worked. What I didn't expect: WHOEVER DETAILED THE INSIDE OF MY CAR TOOK THE ITEMS I FORGOT TO REMOVE FROM THE INSIDE OF MY DOOR CUBBIES AND PLACED THEM ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR. They did not put them back. GOODBYE, BLACK LEATHER COACH CD HOLDER FULL OF CD'S. GOODBYE GARAGE DOOR OPENER. GOODBYE 3RD ROW LEXUS REMOTE. I entered the freeway upon leaving and discovered, to my horror, these things were left on my roof as they clattered on my roof, then flew off onto I90 (Thank God they did not hit any other cars and cause additional damage), and *poof*, just like that, valuable items were smashed and ruined. In all, I lost money. Even with the Groupon. I called Derek's immediately upon returning home, spoke with the same person who checked my car in and out, and received the following: ""Oh gee, those guys! I'll go talk to them."". It has been one week since the detail was completed and still, no response from Derek's. To say I'm not returning is an understatement. Irresponsible, sloppy, uncaring and unprofessional is my description of Derek's Auto Detail. They blew it big time. more

Just the facts. My car: - Nissan 350z. Very well kept, no big problem areas. Scheduling: - Easy enough. Bought $200 credit with tipr deal, so even though they had a bunch of cars coming in they still got me in within a week. The Seattle location estimated a month. Staff: - Pleasant, informative enough. Time taken: - 3-4 hours for a interior detail and exterior wash/wax/detail - I have a 2004 Nissan 350Z Service: - Windshield had many streaks and other misc. marks. - Rear view mirror was not even touched. Quite dirty. - Was promised carpet and seat cleaning through the tippr deal with my purchase. Upon arriving to pickup I was told my fabrics were not bad enough (this is a 2004 car, that's never had any carpet or seat cleaning) to warrant shampooing, so they just sprayed a cleaning solution and wiped off. This cleaning solution also did not seem to effect my seats too well, leaving gray 'swipe' marks all over the seats. - There was one tiny scratch on my dash plastic above my head unit. It is now larger, as they must of thought it was surface dirt, and deeply scratched at it more, causing the blemish to grow. - The crevices around my shifter, and the sides of my middle console were left with stains and dirt. - My gauge pods, and other small crevices were left with dirt and cleaning residue. - My seatbelt latch areas between the seats and the dash were not cleaned at all, still stained with soda and other residue. - Metal seat braces/sliders under the seat were not cleaned at all. - Pull out cup-holder was not touched, still very dirty. - Exterior crevices and door/trunk borders (where the trunk meets when closed and such) were only moderately cleaned. Pollen and other stuck on dirt was left in abundance. - Tires were cleaned and polished well. - Exterior clay bar to remove tar/bugs/etc was done well. My front bumper was a mess with stuck on debris and they got it all off. - Exterior wax was done quite well. Quality of the wax is negligible, but it looks pretty good. I paid $65 for $200 worth of services on Tippr - If this wash and wax was really $65 from Dereks, I would give it 4/5 stars. Sitting at nearly $200, it's lucky to get 2/5. The points only really being gathered from the exterior cleaning and detail of the car. The interior was quite poor, and I would have never paid $200 for this level of service. 2 Stars - ""Meh. I took my car in for complete detail on 5/1/11. My appt was at 10am, arrived at 9:45am, checked in with this super friendly gentlemen at the front desk who happens to be the owner of the shop. I told him that i needed a very deep clean the inside bcoz of the pet smell. He said it would take 3hrs but he might be able to get my car done in 2 hours bcoz he has one extra helper. After about 2 hours he called and told me that my car is almost done. I went to pick up my car, my car looks so clean inside out, I drove home and the smell completely gone the next day. My car smells like new car and spotless inside out. I am totally happy with the service! Customer service is excellent! Thank you Derek for making my car looks new and smell great! I am now can drive more than half an hour without bad allergy or headache!! I would recommend this place to anybody!! Thank you, Thank you!!! Kim more

Took my convertible there to get washed. The areas where they did wash and vaccum were clean and smelling fresh. However, there were splotches all over the car that were missed and there was a lot of dirt still on the convertible top. \r \r Things looks great when I picked up the car (probably because it was already dark outside since it's winter). However, I noticed all these missed areas once I got the car home in my garage. more

Just got my car back from Derek's Issaquah - I wish I hadn't waited 5 years to have it cleaned! They did an awesome job from someone who NEVER cleans the inside of her car (maybe once the whole time I've owned it!!!). It looks wonderful! There was one spilled latte stain that couldn't be removed - probably was spilled four years ago with lots of dirt on top - not their fault. It was spotless inside, the leather nicely conditioned, even my cup holder (with more latte spills) was like new.\r \r Best yet was getting rid of the yellow and white paint on my bumpers from hitting safety bollards and such - the bumpers almost looked like new! And it wasn't much to add that on to the cleaning. The wax job was really good.\r \r Very impressed. They were ready for us, it was done when promised, they were thorough and very professional. I signed up for an appointment on line and got instant responses. Their customer service is top notch. I almost was going to go with my husband's office buildings detail place, but decided to try locally since the price was the same (but only with my husband's employee discount when comparing the two as Derek's has good prices) and they had Saturday service - I'm so glad I did and I will tell all my friends about Derek's! I brought my new little Honda Fit to Derek's in Issaquah to have them put paint sealant on it. I was extremely pleased with the results and the employee I talked with was very helpful and did a fantastic job! I will definitely be taking my car back there again. Pros: courteous staff, close to Starbucks and shops :-), excellent detailing work! Cons: small, tight parking lot more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Derek's in Issaquah. They took my car in right away, cleaned, polished, and made it super shiney. My car had been egged years ago and no other car wash or detail place had been able to get it out. Derek's guys made it all disappear and there are no egg remains left. Also, I had stupidly taken off my own pinstripe on my vehicle and it left reside on both sides of my car. Again- so amazed because Derek's got all of it off. My car looks brand new and I am so thankful to those guys and their hard work and amazing service. I would recommend EVERYONE go to Derek's to keep their car looking like new! Other hand washes of my new black car resulted in scratching and swirls. I talked to Derek about this problem before taking my car in. The hand wash at Derek's was terrific - a really nice finish in and out.\r Derek also advised me of how to best take care of the ""finicky"" black finish.\r \r I'll definitely go back and feel that I've found just the place to take care of my new car! I got quality service with courteous and professional attention at a reasonable price.\r \r Gail DeVun more

When I came in, the first impression I got was this apparent ""manager"" I guess he's migrant employed which is typical of most detail shops didn' t know what I needed All I needed was a wash but apparently he felt I needed a #4 whatever that meant!!! my husbands brother said that theres this white guy and he's the one to go to for scratch removal (my husband) said this guy is really good !!!and will only take his trucks to him!!! and he's good at what he does.my cars scratches are gone!!! and I will keep my car detail needs satisfied at Dereks auto detail but I need a more american aproach if you cant speak the language go back to wherever people talk that way omg cheap labor must rock amnesty must pay good I only see One white guy and three mexicans when I tried to talk to the white boy I got sold on whatever the mexican dude needed his boss to do for the quota I guess!!!! look its a good place... god bless america god help the guy ripping off his american employees to pay off the mexican revolution. P.S. ultimate detail does it better for way less and they speak the english language more
