I was a customer with this company for more than 3 years-because they were cheap. You get what you pay for! I had little issues every once in a while, but nothing that would make me want to switch companies. However, that all changed after a phone conversation with the receptionist on September 1, 2008. She was very rude and condescending to me. We decided at that point to cancel our service. We were paid thru the end of September and had just mailed the next 3 months payment the day before. We asked them to close our account and not to cash our check. They went ahead and cashed it anyway. I started calling immediately to get a refund and was told they would cut refund checks at the end of the month. I waited until mid-October and called again since I still hadn't received a check. It is now January 21st and I have been calling ever since. I get excuse after excuse and I NEVER get the return phone call that they promise. I have been speaking with the owners wife, so I'm guessing she is somewhat in charge. It has now been more than 4 months and I am still struggling with them. I finally started mediation thru ""another source"". Of course all of a sudden, they found my file and issued a refund check and charged me a $25 cancellation fee! I voided the check and returned it immediately and I continue to fight this. It is worth the extra $10/mo to do your business with another trash company. This one is a joke. If you are lucky enough to get someone to answer the phone, children can be heard playing in the background. They are completely unprofessional and have low/no customer service standards. Do your homework and look elsewhere for a trash company! I would rate this company a zero, but they won't let you do that. A 1 very generous!
