I do not blame them for charging you 3% to help pay for your Sky Miles. That really should be your expense and not theirs. Also any service repair company AIN'T going to charge you anywhere close to Hardware Store prices unless they are ignorant to assertive business practices. It sounds like you bought a cheap door from a company who soon went out of business. You got what you paid for. Truth of the matter is that you may go over one cost right after another with this door and that can be expensive. You might want to go with more reputable companies next time. more

I had a garage door installed from Dennert five years ago for approxmately $1200. Recently a hinge failed. Upon closer inspection I noticed that a total of five hinges had already broken. Armed with my paper work/receipt and lifetime warranty I called Dennert regarding this issue. They said that the company Marathon who is the maker of the garage door (Dennert is the installer) is out of business and the ""lifetime warranty"" no longer applies. However, they will be more than happy to send a repair/technician out for $125 not including parts. Dennert was unwilling to compise on this price even though I had been their customer. more

I called and asked about the charge for $125 and that was the labor charge. Dennert did warranty the parts even though the mfg was out of business. I bought a part that saved my day and the girl dropped it off at my house at no charge since my knee would not allow me to drive! Awesome service, way above and beyond! They change their address the first street address is wrong on this site! Pros: The carriage I bought saved me $250 on a new unit and the girl there diagnosed it for me and told me how to replace the part and save the service call. Cons: I had to wait for her to get off work to deliver it. more

I was charged a 125.00 dollars to replace defective hinges that Dennert put in when they installed the door. To install the hinge, it had self-threading bolts that went into the pannel instead of the bracket. They installed the door 7 years ago. Today they did NOT support their job or their workmanship, the dollar was more important than ethics. They did however get the right hinges that screwed into the bracket instead of the pannel. Pros: They were on time. Cons: They did not back up their work. more

Dennert garage door co. offers excellent service and if a customer has any questions they will be glad to answer them. If a customer hears a noise they are not comfortable with, they will send out their sales rep at no charge to advise customer if a service call is needed or just some routine lubrication. They give a 10% discount on some items for cash or check and a 7% discount on some items for credit card. I believe thats what the previous reviewer made a mistake on. Its Illegal to charge extra 3% for c.card and they dont. The previous reviewer just got less of a discount with a c.card. They are a ""make the customer happy "" kind of company and will follow up any problems that may occur until that goal is reached. more

The door did not work when the installer left and they did not want to come out to fix the problem, and still haven't fixed it. more
