I have traded in this store for 18 hears. I have bought lighters, a few humidors , tobacco, pipes etc and enjoyed a smoking cigars in the store. Last week was a disappointment for me. I was looking for help with obtaining the green sponge insert for the Elie Bleu humidor system. I was told that I had to buy the humidor system that Elie Bleu has in their boxes, that the company does not sell the filters. I had bought the filters a few years ago in the Georgetown Tobacco store (DC). I was upset that the manager (said he was there for 13 years) did not offer to attempt to find the filters for me. I then went to another tobacco store on 51 street & Lex ( Barclay-Rex) and the store stocked them. I felt that as a customer that I was treated unfairly . I was told that the company does not sell them separately . I had previously bought the filters in DC and now I found them in one of your competitors . My complaint is that the manager should have taken the time call the company and order the sponges. I was very disappointed and hope that your owners will see this complaint. more

Absolutely agree with previous reviewers - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. I got my first three cigars today and will definitely come back for more! more

Thank goodness for the friendly and intelligent staff! Not once did I feel out of place or chided for not knowing anything about cigars. In a city with many expensive cigar shops, it can be hard to find a store that sells high quality goods without charging through the roof or being pretentious. This is that gem in the rough! I have spent many times in the shop merely admiring amazing humidors, lighters, or cigars, and had sales people talk with me at length without ever being pushy or making feel obligated to purchase anything. A little anecdote about thier customer service: I accidentally left my AMEX there one day. Now most stores would stick the card in the drawer until I noticed it was gone and called looking for it. Instead the manager called AMEX told them Ileft my card, they called me and I got my card that night. That simply exemplifies the kind of attention and the caliber of their people! That night they made a loyal and lifelong customer!!! Pros: First-Class People, Wonderful Products, Amazing Selection Cons: Not closer to me more
