Did fix the vehicle. Miss quoted me the charges. Ended up paying more than double the original quote. Was not offered any other options.

The person we have worked with most at Dave's Complete Auto Care is Kerry. We are amazed at how much he knows about vehicles. He takes the time to explain whatever problem we are having with our vehicle in terms that I can easily understand, and then proceeds with suggestions for solutions. He really looks into different options for us, and is resourceful in finding used parts in order save us money. Kerry also gives us an explanation of what needs to be done now and what can hold off for further down the line. He has given us very specific advice about our older van, which we would still like to keep for awhile. He is always really helpful. We are thinking about getting an additional vehicle and have taken his advice on what vehicles are dependable. We have only been using Dave's Complete Auto Care for about a year, since we are new to the area, but we plan to use them as long as we are here. Anne Smith more

Phenomenal Service. 4/23/2010

I first used Dave's Complete Auto Car because I was tired of my dealership not getting things done right the first time. Dave's Auto's mechanics are just better trained. They always get everything done right the first time. They also really want to make sure my car is safe to drive. Dave's Auto notices when things need to be fix, and tells me so I can make my decision. I was about to go on a road trip once and they let me know that one of the tires needed changing. I had forgotten about it and was happy that they had looked the car over to keep me safe. Dave's Auto also works on all types of cars, so they are the only mechanics my family goes to now. They even do body work, and when they did body work for me it turned out beautifully. They are also consistently cheaper than the dealer and want to save their customers money. I really like quality, and Dave's Complete Auto Care has great quality and service. Sharon Child more

I have taken my work to Dave's Complete Auto Care for about 4 years. My experience with them has always been really good. Everything comes out great when they are finished. Dave's Auto does really good work, and everything is always done well. The price may be a little higher than others, but the work gets done correctly so it is worth it. more

I have been using Daves Complete Auto Care for a long time. I trust them. I find that I can trust the work that they have done. They provide quality service. Everything has worked out great. The professionals at Daves Complete Auto Care are quick, smart and responsive. They answered all of my questions. I never had any question about charges. They took care of the car in a timely manner and they were incredibly courteous throughout. They were very empathetic when listening to problems, and they offered alternative solutions and different cost-saving options. They were also flexible in terms of scheduling the repairs. They are honest, customer service-oriented professionals. I really appreciate the courtesy I experienced at Daves Complete Auto Care. STAY AWAY 2/2/2009

This is the worst experience with mechanics in my entire life. These guys are shysters. Dave the owner is one of the rudest men I have ever met. We took the car back to Dave's reluctantly only because the check engine light came on two weeks after they did major repairs. They wanted another $700 in hose replacements. I did not want the work to be done, but they had already ordered the parts without MY consent. They got my Sons consent, but I'm the one who brought the car in and signed as the authorizing person. The parts of course were not refundable so I was forced to pay $450 for the parts or they simply would not return my car. Once I checked online to see if they had a bad reputation, I got my car out of there before they could do any more damage. When I went to pick up the car and the parts minus labor, Dave made me go to the bank to get cash because he was afraid I would cancel the transaction like that is possible. I think Dave has had a lot of experience with unsatisfied customers and for very good reason. If you do go there, you will notice the severe lack of customers at any time of the day. Worst Customer Service Experience Ever - Owner is Rude. 9/8/2008

I dropped my vehicle (1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic) at Dave's on Saturday (9/7/08) and put my keys in the drop box. On Monday Dave called me letting me know that I would need a new radiator to proceed. I agreed and told him I would call back later in the day with a deposit.\r \r I came down to the shop in person to talk with Dave. After waiting in the lobby for an upwards of 45 minutes, Dave approached me and we went to look at the car. I decided that I would let him know the next morning whether or not to proceed, and exited to my car.\r \r After getting in the car that I had drove to the shop (different car than the one being repaired) Dave came out screaming at me, and asked me what I was doing. He reached into my car (also a Jeep, but much older and of different color) and pulled out the keys. He ran into his store and told me he was going to call the cops.\r \r It took at least 5 minutes to try to explain that this Jeep was not the one he was repairing. After he finally had one of his associates check on the Jeep in the back, he released the keys to me.\r \r Never have I met such an individual with such a temper. After asking him whether or not my problem may be a head gasket, and what a head gasket would cost, he refused to give an estimate. Any mechanic has at least given me the courtesy of looking up the pricing for a head gasket replacement -- but Dave refused to do so simply because he couldn't give an estimate off the top of his head (which wasn't what I was asking for.) \r \r His rude manner in which he treated me was upsetting, and the fact that his paranoia compelled him to reach into my personal vehicle (which is not under any mechanics lean for Dave's) is not only rude, but an act of assault. Entering a vehicle without the consent of the owner is nothing a BUSINESS OWNER of a repair shop should be doing.\r \r I'm extremely dissatisfied, and want Dave to know that should he continue to be so rude to his customers - he wont be in business any longer. Way Over Priced, Dave is Rude and Arrogant 7/2/2008

This is the the most over-rated, highest priced, rip-off shop that I have had the misfortune to do business with. Dave is an arrogant little man, who will lie to your face, record your phone calls, and over repair your car to get his greedy little hands on more of your money. Dave will not tell you his labor rate, nor will the invoice show how many hours you are being billed for... there should be a law about that. DON""T TAKE YOUR CAR TO DAVE'S COMPLETE AUTO SERVICE IN CENTERVILLE. NOT FOR ANY REASON... unless you like getting screwed over. KARMA ; ) Pros: vaseline Cons: vaseline more

Avoid this location at all cost 1/2/2008

I have recently had the misfortune of experiencing so called service at this company. Unfortunately, my vehicle broke down near this location, and as a ""convenience"", I took it here. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Their website states ""Dave?s Auto pledges to exceed your expectations of quality customer service and satisfaction."" This is not the case. In fact, it's quite the contrary. Not only is customer service not practiced by ""Dave"", he will hang up on you if things aren't going his way. He also will record your phone conversations without your consent, and with notifying you. I only found this out once he was throwing a tantrum and advised me that he would send me the recording. The website also states ""We at Dave?s Auto understand your time is precious, we will do everything we can to guarantee your automobile is safe and repaired quickly so you can get back on the road."" which is completely inaccurate. I was never offered a guarantee, they charged me for five hours of ""work"" that was not done, and my vehicle broke down the next day! I was charged almost $600.00 by this company and then was forced to take my vehicle elsewhere to actually get it repaired. I have filed against them, as apparently many others have as well. It was a miserable experience, and he is a miserable person to have to work with. Pay the extra money for a tow truck to bypass this horrible establishment. more
