FIVE STARS! For the past 14 years we've taken everything from ill-fitting marching band pants to wedding gowns to Damien's for tailoring and have NEVER been disappointed. Not only do he and Kevin do expert tailoring, they never fail to make you feel good about yourself and how you look in your clothes! Now that my last child is getting married, and we're leaving that homecoming/prom dress, wedding gown era I probably won't be needing their services, but I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who does! more

I took my wedding gown to Damien to be altered and he did a fantastic job. I couldn't be more pleased with the service they provided. The gown needed to be re-seized and after 1 try I was completely happy with the result. I would highly recommend them, they are friendly and polite and do great customer service. more

I had 2 mini jackets made, that go over a formal dress and it was challenging to make them, but they greatly succeeded. I was extremely impressed with the way the custom made jackets were made, very professional. I highly recommend them to anyone, they know what they are doing and they are very good at it! They are very friendly and easy to talk to and listen to what their customers want and they do it! more

So my wedding was on may 24th 2009, i live in cinci but my wedding was in clumbus and i was moving with my bf to columbus so idecided to go to a tailor in columbus! BAD IDEA. we live literaly 20 seconds away from this store. anyway i dropped my dress 30 days before the wedding to get altered as i lost weight (which i was working on loosing before the wedding) so one of the guys ask me to put the dress on and then after i did he said "" oh that is bad"" so i asked him what is bad, he answered "" you r skinny not look good"" i couldnt beleive he said that. but anyway i realize it is his second language and probably he didnt mean to! i came back after 10 days, actually he told me to come back after a week but i told him i will lbe back after 10 as i was gonna be out of town. i go to the store and NOTHING NOTHING was done .NOTHING and again this person tells me the problem is not in the dress, it is in me, being too SKINNY.... unbelievable ... i took my dress back to my mom's tailor in cincy and 2 days it was done ... they should close that store after reading all these reviews! So here is the deal! I wasnt gonna write anything but a friend of mine told me about the reviews here so i decided to add my 2 cents... these 2 guys or girls i am not sure actually are the rudest I ever dealt with, i cant tell if they are good as tailors or not cause i couldnt understand what they were saying and i couldnt leave my dress with them!!! anyway the short guy or girl kept asking me if i am latino!!! both of them are jerks and i thought the people of columbus ought to know who they are dealing with, also as the other reviewer was saying they say some foreign words in the middle of the conversation so i beleive now that they were bad mouthing me! more

Let me start with that i speak their language, they insult their customers in vietnamese in the middle of a conversation without the customer notice anything!!! I went to get bridesmaid dress altered and they throw me out of the door!!!!! calling me name!!!! I called the police and the police said they cant do anything about them as long as there were no money issue or such!!! and advised me to rate them here! also the policeman told me it is not the first time someone had problems with them there were several incidents!!!! Cons: they are bad bad people! more

I did not try thier services but I went there to ask about prices and they were rude. I don't know how are they still in business with this kind attitude. more

My experience with them was an AWFUL that I would never repeat.. They were very rude and not professional… It was my first and last time to work with them after they ruined my dress… We agreed about specific alteration before I leave the dress. I went to pick it up, it was not what I ask for. I asked what can you do to fix it, he told me to not worry, but I just wanted to know what is he going to do with the dress. I was asking simple questions but he refused to answer them and got so agitated. He start screaming in my face that I am too picky and flipped and refuse to tell me what he wants to do… After ruining my dress the first time, I could not trust him blindly. He kept saying He is a profession and I am not supposed to question him. Then continue yelling at me, then told me that he does not need my business and asked me to leave the store… I never ever got yelled at before by a business owner and they were not experienced at all.. My wedding dress was in bad shape when I took it in to them. The other lady had screwed it up really bad. When I went in he saw flaws right away and was able to fix them. I had a great experience there! Can't wait for the big day now that the biggest stress was out of the way! :) Pros: Knew what they were doing! more

I've been using Damian's for years. Literally. I went in the other day to have jeans hemmed. I had one pair ready and was planning to have 3 more pairs hemmed if they had heels I could borrow. I've had all my jeans (and dress pants and dresses) adjusted or hemmed by Damian's for at least 6 years from what I can remember.\r \r However, ever since a short little guy started working there (also at least a few years now), service has gone down. This last time was too much.\r \r The short guy quoted me a price for jean hemming. He said $10 for regular hem and $18 to preserve the jean hem. When I asked if prices had changed, he pretended like he didn't understand. Then when I tried to ask if I can get a jean hem without preserving the faded jean hem I had, he quoted the price again... continuing to act like he didn't understand me. I told him I had more jeans to get hemmed and that I would need to think about the price. Then while I was in the dressing room, he went to the back and recounted the story of what I asked (to Damian I think) in perfect English. He was making fun of me and I understood all of it. When I came out, I told him, I've been a customer here for a long time and that he was rude to a loyal customer. He told me that I shouldn't come back there. I agree. I came in with a bridesmaid dress that was taken in by someone else. Of course, the previous job was awful. What a mistake to let anyone else work on something so important. I found Damian's shop on Saturday and called in a panic. He was so thoughtful and nice and told me to come right down. He took the dress that day and was able to complete the dress in time for me to leave out of state three days later! The shop was friendly, professional, and did an excellant job. Quality work all the way and he truly saved the day. I could not be more pleased. Pros: Professional results, great turn time Cons: None! more

First, told me that they won't accept credit cards because the machine is broken. Then when I got their said they would take 10% off if I paid cash. Credit card machine worked fine. Didn't finish my dress. I had to get it fixed. They are cheap, but it will be a headache. Pros: Great price Cons: Didn' finish my dress, don't answer phone more

I brought in 13 Ohio State rally towels and asked if they could make a blazer out of them. Not only were they able to do so, but they expedited it and had it finished before the Penn State game. The coat was better than I ever could have imagined. It may actually be used in a Nationwide AD. Price was very reasonable and I would highly recommend them. In fact, I took the red rally towels I got from the PSU game and I am having them make me a red jacket. If you need something tailored, this is the place to have it done. I went to Damian's after reading the reviews on this site. My dilemma was that I was going to be in a wedding in 3 weeks, I'm pregnant and growing by the day, and I needed my dress altered in less than a week and tailored to fit me three weeks more pregnant than I was when I dropped the dress off.\r \r Fitting took less than ten minutes. A week later, I picked up my dress, and it fit perfectly. A completely no hassle experience. I was very impressed by both Damian and his coworker Kevin. I'm so glad that I went to them. No other words I can say to Damian and Kevin. They are incredible, friendly, fast and best service in Columbus. It took me 1 hour 15 minutes drive from Dayton to get my clothes done by them guys but worth it. I just love the way they fixed up my jeans it just like an original quality. Best things about these guys were you can drop it off and pick it whiles you waiting. I went to Damian's from reviews that I have read here and boy was I happy I did. I took my wedding dress there to be altered. I had them put on new hooks, take in the sides (at least two inches), shorten my halter strap and trim some fabric off that I was not fond of at all. Mind you...my dress has EXTENSIVE bead work on it. They made it look absolutely fantastic and all within a week! I was not\r really ""sold"" on my wedding dress before I got it ""made to order"", but now I'm so excited to wear it. They were absolutely wonderfull. I would recommend them to anyone! I have t o say I have been going to Damian's for 8 years now but for very minor alterations like shorting my pants length as I am short and nothing seems to fit. I have always loved the work that he has done for me and I have recommended him to many others with all positive feedback. I bought my wedding dress from a small shop in Plain City with an older more experienced taylor or so I thoght? I had my final fitting and went in to try it on only to find minor things that needed to be changed. I was there for 7 1/2 hours only to walk out with a dress that gave me no shape. I had a week left before I left for my wedding and went to Damian to see if he could help me. The dress was starting to fall apart at the seems due to all of the alterations the lady had done to it before. Damian made it look fantastic! I was so upset with myself for not having gone to Damian in the first place, he was the saviour of my dress!! Damian also tailored my husbands suit to look perfect. If you need minor or major alterations please go to Damian's and save yourself the wasted time you get with other so called professionals!! Thank you Again Damian!!!!!!
