D&H Air Conditioning

I had D & H install two roof-mounted HVAC units in Feb 2008. Both have special and expensive allergy-reducing X8788 filters in them. My review is not about this installation, but about the poor service since then.\r 1) For over 3.5 years D & H technicians have come to our home twice a year (that?s seven times!) and NEVER ONCE have any of them informed us that when you have the X8788s, you DO NOT NEED REGUALR FURNACE FILTERS IN YOUR RETURN DUCT ANY LONGER! -- So what? We are a couple in our seventies, and thus D & H has made us sweat cleaning & replacing regular filters for all these years, totally unnecessarily! This waste of double filtration also makes the units work too hard, reducing their longevity!\r 2) Originally the D & H story was that we were to replace the X8788s (at 2 x $150 = $300) every two years, in ?even? years. This letter is intended tell a story about my experience in dealing with D and H Air Conditioning and Heating, and hopefully help YOU not make the same mistake as I did. It has been the worst experience in quality, customer service and incompetence. They\r lie, have no integrity and have bad service. All they care about is your money, and the reason I chose to have them install my new A/C system is because of their guarantees and my history of positive experiences with the present owners' grandfather.\r They sized the system based on the square footage of my home, and as I later found out is not the correct sizing method. D and H over sized my system by 30+%. After the installation, the summer humidity levels in my home got up to 66% and warped my laminate wood floors. There was equipment failure within the first 6 months. There was a mess left behind with insulation and drywall dust all over.
