Call them first. They arrive on time, answer all questions clearly and politely. They felt like guests in my home. From Joey to Chuck to Doug in the office to Scott and Alkan

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/29/2014

It isn't often that I've felt it was necessary to write a review of any business who has done work on my house, but I feel obligated to do so this time after working with D&E Pump of Titusville. Before contracting with them, I read a few of their poorer reviews below, but still went with them for my services (they gave me the best price and seemed the most confident on the phone with my questions). They put in a well for me a few weeks ago and in every aspect of their operation, they were absolutely top notch. They communicated very clearly about procedures and costs, both on the phone and in person when they arrived to start. They also seemed very competent regarding technical aspects of what they do. The employees are courteous, the equipment is very well maintained, and results were exactly as initially explained. I can't say anything but thanks to Fred and others who worked on my well from D&E, I look forward to working with you guys again in the future. more

Best Service Company Ever!! 12/28/2011

I have been dealing with this company for more than 15 years now. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I have used almost all of their services, including well drilling and pump work, the installed and maintain my irrigation, and I trust them with my water treatment issues, as they are very honest. When I first contacted them about drilling my well, I had an old well that was leaking and I wanted to try to fix it. They offered that as an option, and it was my choice to make, but a new well would be a better long term solution. I made the wrong choice in trying to fix it, and it came back to haunt me, as I paid for the repairs and then had to get the new well anyway. If I would have listened to the experts at D & E the first time, I would have saved not only money, but the aggravation and inconvenience that I caused my neighbors and myself. So to the review below by laxllaxl, Maybe they were just trying to give you the best option for a long term solution?? , rather than just a cheap bandaid fix?? In separate situation at the home i'm living in now, I am on well water. My builder wanted a deep well, but D & E advised a shallower depth well due to water quality issues. Am I glad I listened. I still need water treatment, but my water is so much better than my neighbors. So to the other bad review varkariaresident, I don't know your situation, however I will say letting the experts do their job and going with their recommendations worked in my favor. I know I will use D & E as long as they are in the area, and would recommend them to anyone. It is unfortunate that a companies reputation depends on random BS sites like this, where people that like to hide behind computers, can post whatever they want about a business. Rather than reading reviews from a BS search site like this one, try a better business bureau, local chamber of commerce, or a more reputable site that actually follows through with a review and makes sure its valid before posting it. Thank you D & E Pump for all the wonderful work you have done for me in the past, and much more to come in the future!!!! more

This company will RIP YOU OFF!!! 10/7/2011

My experience with this company was horrible. They sent someone to examine my well - he told me without being very specific or clear - that the pipe from the well was damaged beyond repair and a new well would have to be drilled. His manager told me it would be about $3,000 to do this work. The manager sounded offended that I asked about whether a repair was an option and wasn't there a less expensive option. He said they are experts and this is based on their experienced worker and they would not be willing to do any repairs - only abandon the old well and drill a new one. Well, thank goodness someone recommended another company to me. Called them - they came out right away and had the well pipe repaired in about 90 minutes for $500. When I contacted D&E via email to advise them that I was going to decline their $3,000 work proposal, they didn't even have the courage to write back or defend their position! The manager told me when trying to take my money that ""this is a family business and we wouldn't be in business this long if we just ripped people off."" Well, hopefully this guy isn't Pinnochio because otherwise his nose would be very long. Warning - get second or third opinions before you give this company your money. The manager was condescending and rude and the worker who came to my house was a clueless and/or a liar. To the manager I would say this: the Mafia is a family business, but I wouldn't want them to do work for me. Well, the same is true about D&E. Stay away if you know what's good for your wallet. more

Not even close 4/23/2011

For all of you who had good experience with the well drilling services of D & E, I am very happy for you. Now you to your well and chack to see how deep it is. I promise you, it is not as deep as it is suppose to be. Here is my deal with D & E well drilling.\r These people will try very hard to sell you bunch of crap you do not need and do not deliver what you need. \r They drilled a shollow well. typically for irrigation, instead of what was on the contarct as a mid level, 60-80 feet deep well for consumption.\r The son of owner argued for an hour with me over the phone and then told me that the owner, his dad, will call me at the end of the week as he is out of town. I had to threaten him with a lawsuit for cost of delaying construction and he actually hung up on me. Then he calls me back in 30 minutes and aplogizes and tries again to talk me out of demanding what I am paying for. Of course, I was not buying their excuses. After almost another week they show up and driil the aditional 20 feet. Then comes the day of equipment installation, and they brought this tiny little softner, and the techician says that is normal size. When I went home and looked at my notes from the conversation I had with their agent, John, I was promised model 1054, they installed a 1040. Needless to say I called, and guess who answered, the son of owner. He said that is not specifically mentioned in my contract and for additional $300 they will change the unit for me (to the one I was promised).\r I tell you what, find yourself someone else than These people. Even then, be on site and keep track of how far they drill. Every last bit of what you are promised (the equipments and services), have it in writing. I never thought they will be that cheap to change the softner size. This is a 6-bathroom house and ask any plumber and they will tell you the appropriate size is 1054, and that is why every last one of contarctors I called said that is what they will install 1054, Including D & E. The funny part is since the tank was specifically written as 80 gal, they brought this big tank, with this tiny little softner.\r Trust me when I tell you that you need to be there when the drillers are drilling your well no matter who you hire to drill your well. For your sake, I hope it won't be D & E pump. I wanted to give them zero star but it does not give that as an option. more
