Me and my wife had just purchased a new home and wanted granite in the kitchen and bathrooms. We shopped around for the best price and quality and we finally decided on custom stone works. They had a wide assortment of colors to choose from as well. We were able to go to the warehouse and look at the actual piece they would use for our kitchen or bathroom. The measuring and installation went smooth. We had a great experience working with them. My good friend is getting his kitchen remodeled and based on my recommendation and my kitchen is using custom stone works. more

When my husband and I decided to refinish our kitchen I shopped almost every granite company in Michigan and decided on Custom Stone Works. I had gotten a lot of referrals from friends and family about Custom Stone Works but I wanted to make sure they were truly the best. Well I can say with 100% assurance they really are! My granite came out fantastic! From the moment I walked into their showroom someone greeted me right away and was very helpful. Custom Stone Works took so much care in my kitchen they matched up the movement of the granite so it all looked like one slab and blended in perfectly. The installers were so helpful and so careful with my house. And above all, I had thought my cat ran out of the house while they were moving granite in and the installers actually stopped their work to help me look for my cat! What a company, that kind of loyalty to customers is so hard to find I was more than impressed. My husband and I are ecstatic with our new kitchen and to date every one of our friends that has been over has commented on how amazing our granite looks. I HIGHLY recommend Custom Stone Works for any granite or stone needs. AMAZING company! more

We have a design and build firm and have installed granite for over 10 years - So as to the client that had caulking problems -yes it may shrink a little but if it is installed right it does not disappear or fall out unless they installed wrong and had massive gaps between stone pieces! As to the client that had a crack at the cooktop area. It is likely that the stone broke along a natural fissure line - it happens but if installed correctly on 5/8"" substrate you should be able to dance on your counter without it cracking! I'd stay clear of this company especially if they don't stand behind their work - and not offering to re-caulk at no charge? Really??? its a 30 minute job and $10 in materials! more

\r \r The staff at Custom Stone Works was very friendly and helpful in their shop as well as in our home while they installed our new kitchen countertops. They were very knowledgably and their prices where the best in town, believe me my wife dragged me all around town (not a fun Saturday). \r My advices just go to Custom Stone Works and save you some time and money.\r more

I have purchased 5 kitchens through this company for my remodeling business. They have showed up on time at every job. The measure person, and the installers were very polite. The polish on the edges and the granite was spectacular! I would recommend them to anybody. In regards to the last review, granite does not break unless you give it a reason to. I deal with a whole lot of granite, and if they did not install it cracked, which I am sure you would have noticed, then the homeowner must have cracked it. I can not see CSW installing cracked granite, or not standing behind their work. Pros: Every color is the same price Cons: Not one bad thing more

Bought granite counter-top from Custom Stone Works, Inc and installed by the same company in March, with one year warranty. At the time I bought it, I was told the warranty covers the cracking not accidently damaged. Then I found cracking near the cooktop in June and found no accident damage around. My further inspection found the granite counter top has poor quality with existing small cracking in it already. These crackings may break through the entire counter top under normal use conditions. Custom Stone Works did call me after its inspection and I could not call back because of my personal trip. After my trip, I called Custom Stone Works three times without return calls its representive promised.Today, I finally talked with the Custom Stone Works Inc and it refused its one year warranty coverage for this cracking and claimed it as accidental damage without any evidences.
