My husband and I just moved to Cookeville and are both retired school teachers. We give Custom Fireplace a 100 and an additional 10 bonus points! Not only did they help with a wood stove but also recommended Raymond to do our stacked stone backdrop. We are so pleased with the quality of work and clean up of our masonry guy Raymond! Integrity--Custom Fireplaces & More 4/19/2012

Our old gas logs looked terrible and the fire coming through them was so irregular and un-natural looking that we went to Custom Fireplaces & More in order to purchase a new unit. The owners, Bob & Fran Marengo, have a tremendous knowledge of fireplaces and, though obviously very busy, talked with us extensively. One of the owners later came to our house to measure for the new unit. When he saw our logs he told us that they were some of the finest. He asked for a long flat screwdriver and with one sweep made a beautiful fire by just cleaning out the gas source, then proceded to tell us what to do to easily clean the logs ourselves. Basically he knowingly lost the sale of a new unit but did what was best for us as customers. We were then able to buy a new glass door unit and fireback and have a beautiful fireplace to enjoy because of Bob s integrity. I have recommended Custom Fireplaces & More many times and will continue to do so--great experience in this competitive world. Pros: null Cons: null more

Very Unsatisfied 12/27/2011

After dealing with these people on more than one occasion, we have left the transaction feeling rode hard and put up wet- so to speak. Repeated discussions on stove problems, and billing errors have fallen on deaf ears, and we are now left with a faulty stove and receiving repeated bills 2000.00 over what we were quoted. I have spoken with area contractors that feel this outfit has a reputation for overcharges and poor management. Do yourself a favor and buy from any of the many other reputable companies that are a little less concerned with high profit, and more concerned with customer satisfaction. Pros: null Cons: null more

Custom Fireplaces and More offers free estimates on fireplace installation. They also offer free fireplace design services. They carry everything from gas logs, mantels, glass doors and fireplace accessories. Their installers and factory trained to do the job right. They also do chimney cleaning and relining. If your building a new home they will come out and give free on-site consultation. They also sell some awesome top of the line gas grills in their showroom. more
