Our old gas logs looked terrible and the fire coming through them was so irregular and un-natural looking that we went to Custom Fireplaces & More in order to purchase a new unit. The owners, Bob & Fran Marengo, have a tremendous knowledge of fireplaces and, though obviously very busy, talked with us extensively. One of the owners later came to our house to measure for the new unit. When he saw our logs he told us that they were some of the finest. He asked for a long flat screwdriver and with one sweep made a beautiful fire by just cleaning out the gas source, then proceded to tell us what to do to easily clean the logs ourselves. Basically he knowingly lost the sale of a new unit but did what was best for us as customers. We were then able to buy a new glass door unit and fireback and have a beautiful fireplace to enjoy because of Bob s integrity. I have recommended Custom Fireplaces & More many times and will continue to do so--great experience in this competitive world.
