Shop Around 11/4/2008

I bought a GE floor model refrigerator. Price was good, Crossroads offered a 1 yr extended warranty (no cost). It took FIVE phone calls and FIVE MONTHS to finally get the paperwork to prove I had a warranty. My experience falls in line with the "no service after sales" mantra. more

POOR SERVICE 9/24/2007

We purchased several thousand dollars worth of appliances from them including a GE Monogram Fridge that never worked right from the beginning. They insisted on trying to fix this new appliance four times before letting us pick out another. They charged us delivery fee again even though they are the ones that sold us a bad fridge. We incurred more expenses due to position of the electric outlet and connection in the new Kitchen Aid Fridge ( the salesperson did not mention this important fact) They couldnt keep the delivery date of our new fridge because someone forgot to write it in " the book" We are out over $500 due to no fault of ours but I couldnt put a price tag on inconvenience of being without a working fridge for two months. In my opinion, Crossroads should have taken care of all expenses, replaced our fridge much sooner, and take up this issued with GE Appliance more

The worst followup after sale 9/18/2007

Crossroads may be the most gracious in selling appliances but if something doesn't work they offer absolutely no support in fixing or replacing. After spending $10,000 for kitchen appliances, one item that costs less than $1,000 didn't work upon installation. Crossroads would not offer a replacement and insisted on repair of a brand new appliance. When it could not be fixed they passed me off to Dacor, the manufacturer. Dacor recognized the defect and replaced the defective new appliance with a one year old appliance without adequately compensating the contractor for install and reinstall nor me for my original purchase. Crossroads had no interest in supporting their customer. If you want to spend money on appliances then Crossroads is the one but if you expect service or backup on the purchase go to any other appliance shop or internet. more

If you're looking for appliances and want to see a range of them, check out Crossroads Appliances. The store is smaller than I thought it would be from the website, but they have a number of items to look at. They are busy, and seem to have decent prices on all items that you can't buy at Sears. If you're looking for something that Sears carries, you won't get the same price here, but if not, check out this store. The warranties are great. more
