Free does not mean $5 off!! I've been coming here for some time now, and I have always kept my reciepts to reach $50.00 which then you are qualified to get free dry cleaning. Before, I even asked if I can get the free dry cleaning on a blanket, a lady said yes. I came in last week some new girl at the front said I can get only $5 dollars off of my blanket with the reciepts adding to $50.. I told her even at the bottom of the reciept it says "" save your reciepts for free dry cleaning"" she gave me additude and said that means only 5 off I've been here for a long time, I know the policy. So I paid 23 instead of free. They should really tell the customers about their ""policy"" on the reciepts not some fake information. more

I've been coming here for 5 years, and some of the reviews here surprised me. I love this place! They do everything in one location, which is something that smaller places can't do. They are open 7 days a week, which is really convenient for me. I have always thought that the quality has been great. I always see the same people there, and they have always taken care of me. I'm very happy with the service I have received. more

I had a coupon from them which said 99 cents for laundered shirts (with any dry cleaning order). When I went there they said they would charge me $1.19 for each shirt bcos the marketing company made a mistake and it was not supposed to be 99 cents. Mind you, they had no such correction notice in their store (most businesses do that if they have made a coupon mistake). I was told that I would either have to pay $1.19 or take my business elsewhere. This was told to me after I had already dropped 40 shirts out of my laundry bag onto their counter, so it would have been an obvious hassle to take them back. Anyways, my primary complaint is not that I ended up paying $8 more than I intended to, but rather the attitude of the lady. She was so rude and it was amazing that she actually said (more or leass verbatim) ""Well, if you are not willing to pay $1.19, you can take your business elsewhere as we will definitely not be wanting your business"". Thanks for the comment - I will defintely take my business elsewhere - where they actually care. more

This place did quite a nasty deed to some of my expensive shirts. I had 4 shirts dry cleaned at this place and when I got them back, they absolutely reeked with the nasty dirty smell of late night cheap whoopie with a ""mistress of the night"" on some lonely street corner in downtown. I'm being absolutely serious, It was just like some nasty dirty cheap ""mistress of the night"" had smeared her ""love juices"" all over the shirts and then immediately dry cleaned them. Needless to say I had no choice but to dispose of the shirts and replace them with new ones. I was so sickened and shocked by this rather odd experience that I didn't bother to let the management know of my ordeal. Even though this a very rare and unsettling event I still would not recommend this place to anybody. Pros: None, especially after what they did. They sewed my hems wrong. The stitching looked awful. I normally go to Bode cleaners for my alterations but the tailer wasn't there that day, so I thought I'd go to Countryside. Honestly, I should have waited. I wanted the hem to look like the hem of my original jeans and she actually took the hem to make it what I found out was a trick hem. I would not recommend going here without prior fashion knowledge. They were rude and I paid $30 for hems that look like I could have done on my own. I now own $350 worth of unwearable denim. I take that back, maybe a midget could wear them. \r \r Pros: They're open late Cons: They don't do good hems more

I have been using Countryside Cleaners since I moved to Hoffman Estates (3 months), and I have gone to them for the last time this evening. They advertise that they will take any competitor's coupons, and the sign in the store says ""ALL"" coupons from competitors. I brought in a coupon from Eco-Cleaners on Higgins, and they refused to take the coupon because they claimed it was from a ""discount"" dry-cleaner. The prices at Eco-Cleaners are actually fairly high, and most certainly not discount. I asked to speak with the owner/manager, was refused, and repeatedly told that there would be no accepting of my coupon because of the belief it was for ""discount dry-cleaning,"" even after I showed them the advertisement from Eco-Cleaners with their higher prices printed out. I think this false advertising and bad service, along with less than perfect cleaning, make this a horrible dry cleaning experience. If anything, I would have expected them to at least apologize or give me a valid reason for the refusal. Instead, they asked to take the coupon from Eco-Cleaners away from me (I kept it), and did not offer an apology, discount, or further explanation. I will never go here again.
