They wrote on my clothing even though I asked them not to since the last place I went did! I would never recommend anyone to this cleaners. I complained and was just ignored. BAD QUALITY & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! more

I wish I had read these reviews before I went. My regular cleaners had closed down and this was the closest one I could find and my experience with them was a nightmare. I got my clothes back on time and everything seemed fine. I could see through the clear plastic bag that it was in fact my stuff. I probably should've gone through each of the items to double check but I've never had a problem at any other cleaners before so I didn't. Then a few days before my trip (over a holiday weekend so they were closed) I discover that my suit jacket was missing (but the matching pants were there so it had looked from the outside it was all there). I left a message over the weekend about it and show up first thing Monday morning to get it. I had a flight that morning to an important job interview in California where I needed that suit. I'm just a poor graduate student so I don't have money for multiple suits and I only need a suit a few times out of the year, so I was pretty desperate at that point. But my jacket wasn't there and the girl there said she couldn't tell me anything that they would have to wait for the owner. So I call later on my connecting flight and speak to a woman and I suggest they should mail it to my hotel so I can still have it in time for my interview, figuring they at least owe me that much for the mistake and causing me this great inconvenience. They give me the impression that they will try to do this so I'm feeling ok about it, but then the next day I call and find out they didn't do it after all. Now I am speaking to the owner and he's a total jerk. He said they decided not to because it would cost more than the price of cleaning and they weren't even going to bother to call me back to tell me they weren't mailing it after all. Then he basically called me stupid for not owning more suits if it's so important (I said must be nice to have money for that, but it went right over his head) and also called me stupid for not making sure I had everything more in advance (they were closed that weekend for the holidays, though yes in retrospect I should've been less trustworthy and checked it before I left the store). Basically he's saying I'm stupid for trusting them to give me all my items back right?? Then he goes on a rant and won't even let me get a word in, just hurling insults at me and finally I just have to hang up. If I had known they weren't mailing it I would've had a friend go to pick it up and mail it for me. So because of them I may have to buy another suit jacket in Cali at the last minute which I really don't have the money to do. more

I really do hate to be the person to complain, but I was very upset leaving this place. I brought in a skirt to have it taken in. When I took it home I asked my boyfriend what he thought and he agreed that it wasn't taken in enough. I'm very small and many xs clothes that I buy are big on me. I went back and I asked her to take the skirt in a few more inches. At this point I didn't want her to be annoyed by me, so I brought in another item-a dress because I understand that you may not get it perfect the first time. However, when I went to pick up both for the second time, she charged me again for the skirt and twenty dollars for the dress (that's twenty-eight dollars for one skirt). She told me that I don't pick the right clothing to be altered (if she told me she couldn't do it the first time, I would have went elsewhere). My husband took a pair of brand new jeans ($200 with the tags on) to be hemmed. He brought another pair of jeans with him and asked them to make them the same length. The day after he picked them up he took the tags off and put them on and they were waaaaay too short. He went back to Cotney's and they basically told him he was a liar and that those weren't the same jeans, so he came back the next day to talk to the owner and he was a complete jerk. This time they claimed that he asked for them to be that short. So one day they aren't the same jeans the next day they are, but he asked for them to be a pair of $200 highwaters??? Get your story straight. What happened to the customer is always right. They wouldn't replace the jeans or refund the $$ for the alteration and then asked him to leave their store and never come back. I will never use them for anything, even if my life depended on it. Cotney's has provided great service to my family for over 15 years! The owners and employees are always friendly. When I had a problem with a ruined sweater they were happy to pay for it. I highly recommend this business! Pros: Friendly fast service more

I took a brand new shirt to be dry cleaned so that it could be free of any wrinkles. When I went to pick it up, the shirt was stained in several places. They told me they would try to clean it and after they couldn't I spoke to the owner. I showed the owner the reciept to show him it was new. He got angry and accused me of scaming him! He told me to get the hell out of his store and never come back!!! He was a complete idiot! DO NOT GO here they will stain your clothes and then kick you out!
