Massage :-( 10/19/2011

Today I had my first And last massage at The Conservatory. My appointment time was 2:00 and it was 5 min after 2:00 before my therapist even came to get me. It did not appear that she was with another client either. She took me back to the therapy room where she did an almost 10 min foot soak. Trust me when I say my feet were NOT that funky. I told her about the areas I wanted more/special attention given. The massage was choppy & interrupted. It was not flowing and relaxing. When the massage ended 10min till 3:00 there was not "special attention" given to my problem area. Oh, did I mention it was 'suppose' to be a 60 min massage? Glad I had a Gift Certificate and did not have to use my own $ to pay for it!! more

Getting My Hair Cut Is Not About the Hair 10/12/2011

I love The Conservatory! From the minute you walk through the doors you are greeted by your "salon family". They are quick to get you a cup of coffee or refreshing glass of water infused with lemons & oranges. Then they massage your head & shoulders before your service begins - what more could you ask for! The total experience is wonderful & I would recommend anyone to give them a try. You won't ever go anywhere else again! more

So tranquil, not the usual hustle and bustle of a busy salon.....truly an escape from the outside world. No inappropriate gossipy conversations between stylists. Excellent attention to detail. Cut, style and service was superb! more

Craig was so friendly and really good at coloring my hair. However, he didn't explain to me about the $33 up charge for protein and special conditioners. It was a surprise at the register. Raquel cut my hair and she is also so friendly. This is my second cut with her. This time it wasn't as short as I would like. So I called them and they said just to come in anytime and they would shorten it free of charge. The conservatory is a great place - pricey, but great. more
