Conroe Air

On Fathers day my outside unit stopped cooling I called Conroe Air Conditioning, service man came out and told me my compressor was bad and needed a new unit for $4,451. That Monday I got a second opinion, come to find out I didn't need a new unit, Conroe Air was just trying to scam me, I have worked in the A/C Business before and I knew something was wrong. Not only did Conroe Air make fraudulent claims about my unit, the service guy left a wire lose on the start capacitor, when he powered up the unit it fried the capacitor. I called Conroe Air for a refund, $140 for the service call and $160 for the capacitor ( There Price ) they agreed to the refund of $300. Got my check in the mail today for $180, Scammed again! Never call or use Conroe Air they are just a bunch of lying thieves. I hate that the lowest rating is 1 star they don't even deserve that. In September 2011 I called out Conroe Air to replace a faulty evap coil. In July 2012 this newly installed coil had to be replaced again. On this occasion the technicians damaged the wall of our home when replacing the coil but did not report it. I reported it to the operations manager at Conroe Air but after four weeks he had done nothing about it. Only after contacting their lame duck CEO was a dry wall repair man sent out. I also enquired from the operations manager about air eascaping from the AC unit after they worked on it and he promptly asked the dry wall repair man to check it out. What a joke......\r As the coil was under warranty part of the labor cost is carried by the manufacturer. I enquired about this and was told by Conroe Air that my coil did not qualify for this re-embursement. Months later I again queried this and then they all of a sudden sent me a $300 check. Conroe Air was called out to my house to fix an AC issue at that time the tech and i talked about a cooling issue with the dampers. The tech explained what needed to be done and would have the service manger call me back with an estimate. A few days later the service manger called and said he needed to send another tech out to look at the problem, the tech arrived at my house to look at the issue, he explained the same fix as the first tech did and said the service manager would call me with an estimate. After weeks of me calling them for the estimate, I finally called on another AC company to have my problem fixed. I received a bill from Conroe Air 2 months after their last trip out, I called in saying I was not paying the trip charge bill and that I never even received the estimate. \r \r STAY AWAY from this company. Poor customer service and not very experienced techs. more

I had Conroe Air at my house a few weeks ago because my air conditioner was not working. The man said I needed to replace my entire system and it would be over $9000.00. My grandson called around and had someone else come out and was able to fix my air conditioner for less than $200.00. Conroe Air is a rip off and should not be in business. more

My experience with this company was HORRIBLE. I was totally OVERCHARGED and the customer service was TERRIBLE!! Not only did they have to come back out to replace the "same parts" that was already paid for in previous months, they had enough nerve to charge me for the same parts again!! Along with an extra charge of $100.00 to open a warehouse to go get these parts!! Knowing that I needed my air conditioning fixed and that I was at their mercy, they to say the least "royally screwed me". Companies like this should not be supported by good paying customers, such as myself and yourself!! In fact, they should be regulated from screwing people at a time of need. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ~ TRUST ME. YOU WILL GET SCREWED TOO!!!! more

Came out and did routine maintenance service on A/C system. Fair pricing compared to local competitors and service men were friendly and knowledgeable. Would reccomend to to others. more
