I had an alright experience with Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep. I had a specific model that I wanted and I was able to purchase it from them for a good price. They were very patient, honest, and forthright during the whole process. The one thing was that the doors weren't closing properly during the first month that I had the vehicle and I had to bring it back quite a number of times. The problems have now since been resolved but it took awhile. They were very accommodating otherwise. more

These guys did everything they could do to fix the issue on my car, and when I couldn't continue to make the trips to them to figure out the issue, they ended up coming to my house and fixing the issue there. Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia took care of my wife's Jeep. I called and set up an appointment, which was very easy to do, and she took it in. They were very polite and very willing to help. They took care of the problem. It was pretty easy actually. The issue we were having was that the front passenger window wouldn't go up or down any longer. They diagnosed what was causing the problem and took care of it. It's a good, friendly place to do business with. more

I bought two cars from Royal Gate of Columbia. I was going to buy another from them, but I had a really bad experience and will never go back for another purchase. One time, I took my exceptionally clean car to their service department. I got it back with the steering wheel, floor mats, and door handle full of grease. I had to come home and clean it all up again. They claimed it wasn't their fault. When I was trying to buy one of the cars from them, the salesman would never call me back. Nobody else who was there could help me with the car, apparently. When I finally got a hold of somebody, they told me my payments would be too high. Isn't it up to me to decide if I can afford it or not? The only reason I got back to Royal Gate is to receive my free oil changes and filters. I go elsewhere for all other services. more

Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia did a maintenance check on my car. They were able to find problems that another place hadn't been able to find. That made me feel good about them. My husband thinks that they may try to do more than they need to sometimes, so that's why they get some fours. They did the work very well, though. more

I bought my car from Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia and go back there for service because of the warranty they provided. When I went in to have an oil change and tire rotation this last time, the woman advising me told me that their computers were down, but that there was a factory recall for my car. She said I would have to bring the car back at a later date when the computers were going again. I didn't hear anything from them for a few days, so I called them back. One girl told me there was no recall after all, and that I'd been misinformed. When I Googled it myself, though, it did show a recall for my car's airbag system. I'm pretty confused about the situation. more

My appointment with Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia was at 7. I got there around 6:50 and saw there were two guys standing out there with their trucks in front of the two garages, so I didn't pull up. I just parked in the service area. When the gate opened, I proceeded to go in and told them I was next in line. They were VERY rude to me! They told me I should have pulled up, that I was holding up business, that I was parked in the wrong spot, etc. On top of that, the airbag light that kept turning on and that they said they would fix came right back on after I left. It wasn't fixed! This place is way too far for me to keep having to drive down and get attitude from the workers. How could Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia improve? Well, they could stop tearing up my car, stop breaking parts off my car, and do the job right the first time. Every time I brought the car in, it had to be returned to the shop INSTANTLY for corrections. I do not trust them to do any work. I had warranty work done, and even that wasn't done right. Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Columbia recently did an oil change for me, a tire rotation, and put a coating on a replacement windshield. All that was fine. It didn't take them that long and they did a very good job. I've used them for several years and it's always been excellent service. They know what they're doing. I think they take good care of your vehicle. They do as much as they can to help and often go beyond what's expected. more

I was going to buy a used vehicle from them, and I found one, but I didn't buy it right then and there. I went home, called them up later, and they told me it was still on the lot and they would hold it. I get there, and they had sold the vehicle to someone else. They kept telling me they would make it right, but I ended up getting a new vehicle where I got less of a vehicle and had to pay more than I would have for the other. I felt that they knew what they were doing, and that they sold it from underneath my feet. I have had other positive experiences with them but this time felt like I was cheated. more

I wanted nothing more than to give Royal Gate an excellent rating. I love my car... but I was completely shocked and disappointed with with the quality of service I got from the staff during/after purchasing my car. I live in St Louis and was purchasing this vehicle in IL to save some $ on the sales tax. It wasn't until I had filled out all of the paperwork and signed the contract that they informed me that St. Louis City has to pay 7 sales tax while the county only had to pay 4. So that cost me $700 right there that I thought I was saving. Then after being asked for proof of my address, I faxed it in promptly, then again the next day when they lost it, and again the following day. The last time I said, "if you don't get this CALL ME." I didn't hear from them again so I assumed all was well... until I went to get my plates 2 weeks later and found out they hadn't sent me the title application needed to get my plates. After driving 35 minutes over there to get the form, I was told they had lost my proof of address AGAIN and that they couldn't give me my title app until they had that. So when I expressed my angst at having to drive back home 35 minutes to get a piece of mail THAT THEY LOST, Rock offered to pay for my gas. When I returned with the mail, I got my title app (4 hours after my original attempt to get my plates) and when I asked for the gas he promised, the response was "who told you that?" I responded, "you did." I was handed a $10 bill and told "thats out of my pocket so...." Needless to say I will not be purchasing a vehicle from here again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. more
