I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Colorboxx for over a year now and I'm so grateful to have finally found my salon home. To start, the staff is super friendly and laid back. There's plenty to talk about but no one pushes if I just feel like sitting back with a magazine. More importantly, the service is top-notch. My hair color has never been better, with careful attention given to my seasonal moods and recommendations offered for my skin tone, hair health, etc. The cuts I've received to my long hair are stylish and clean, again, with spot-on recommendations offered for my face and body shape. more

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE Nikki and Color Boxx! I am from NY and moved to the area almost 2 years ago. I was flying back to NY just to get my hair done because I could not find a stylist down here who came even close to my old one. Well, that became too expensive and I continued my search for the perfect stylist. After several visits to a salon in Bluffton, SC and horrible cuts and color/highlight nightmares, I decided to do my homework and I am SO glad I did! more

My stylist STEPHANIE....WOW, what a miracle worker!! I am NOT exaggerating. My hair was a frizzy lifeless damaged mess! About a year ago I had gone to another salon requesting natural looking highlights on my light brown hair. What I got was white/silver horrible highlights (actually it was more solid color than highlighted) my hair was doubled processed; I had sat under a heat lamp for nearly an hour with BLEACH ?so you get the visual. The cut was a haphazard chop job ?needless to say a 1980?s bleached blonde frizzy frumpy nightmare!! So, as you can imagine I was soooooo disappointed that I had not stepped into a salon for a year?.not even for a trim, so you get the idea the condition it as in! Stephanie transformed my hair into something I couldn?t have expected ever having again!!! I went from dry frizzy shapeless hair, devoid of any style to???long?silky? shiny healthy beautiful hair?hair like I had as a child?with natural looking sun kissed highlights that look absolutely gorgeous! And of course a precision hair cut that gives it oomph and bounce! It is so beautiful even my husband loves it! It was funny because he sent me a text, as I was sitting in chair saying ?good luck? this time hope it turns out well! He was so happy to see me walk through the door smiling...not crying. I simply couldn?t go without recommending Stephanie she really did pull off a miracle. P.S this is a completely unbiased review?I am not a friend, or a cousin?etc?just ONE SERIOUSLY HAPPY CLIENT! After recieving the worst hair cut of my life, I was a little scared to try someone new again. But I made an appointment, and when I arrived I was greeted by smiles and laughter..very welcoming. Marie took the time to listen to my situation and come up with a game plan for my hair. Talking to her was easy and fun, she understood what I wanted and gave me some great ideals. Through the process I was offered coffee and great conversations by everyone in the salon. It was so relaxing and comfortable! I have to say after Marie finished, I looked at my hair, and I cried! Tears of joy!! she did an amazing job! The cut and color took 10 yrs off my face. I felt beautiful, sexy, young, alive and ready to face anything. Marie your AMAZING!!! and Colorboxx Ill never go anywhere else again I love this place!!! It truly is the BEST salon in Savannah, and anywhere Ive ever lived before. I was spending top dollar elsewhere for cuts I wasn't happy with. I decided to try Savannah's Color Boxx Hair Salon, and I'll be back for sure! Airy second-story studio with views of the city streets below. Fabulous consult, followed by a sculpted cut that is STILL holding up weeks later. A flattering haircut FINALLY. Had a wonderful haircut and color by Kelsey yesterday. She is the sweetest! I couldn't get in to my regular salon and was tired of same old. I came away with the silkiest hair I've ever had and deep rich, nuanced color. I had called that morning and and Kelsey got me right in. Met Nikki the owner and another extremely nice person. I am new to Savannah, and was so lucky to find Kristen at the Color Boxx. My color and cut were perfect. I got what my stylist described as a precision cut, and it is amazing. I went to Nikki for a consult because I was thinking about getting a keratin treatment for my frizzy, crazy, curly hair. She was awesome! Not only did she answer all of my questions, but she helped me choose just the right treatment and products. All the girls there are super nice and have always been very helpful. My hair is now frizz free, super soft, and adorably straight. I'll be going back to The Color Boxx for all my hair needs!! more

I am currently a college student in Savannah with a thin budget, but I really needed to vamp up my hair for work. I went into Colorbox with my thin budget and I walked out absolutely in love with the salon, my hairdresser, and the amazing service they had to offer! I received the best cut and color for my money I've ever had in my short 20 years of hair experience, and I have been recommending them to every single person I can! Not only was the salon itself inviting, cheerful, and a joy to be in, but my hair dresser Kristin (and all the gals for that matter) were so sweet and down to earth! If you are looking to get a GREAT cut, color, extensions, ANYTHING I would highly recommend you visit Colorbox. My gal's name is Kristin, and she was an absolute doll. I would definitely recommend you try to get an appointment with her as well! She is an amazing hair dresser and such a sweetheart. She really helped me with my budget situation and accommodated my every request. I got a great cut, an amazing coloring and gloss job, and extensions all for an extremely reasonable price. I loved her and will definitely be going back to her for the duration of my time living in Savannah! I've lived in Savannah for nearly 2 years and have tried to find a Salon that exceeded my expectations. I have been to dozens in the Savannah area, and Color Boxx is by far the Best I've ever found. I'm very particular about Salons, I expect them to be clean, stylish, and up to date. I expect the stylist to be sociable, professional, and up on the latest trends. Color Boxx was all of that and more. They carry top of the line products, the staff is very nice, and nice to each other. My color and cut came out gorgeous! After having one of the worse haircuts I've ever had in my home state, I decided to venture out and have a new cut. I called colorboxx and they fit me right in!! I had my appointment with Kristin, and she is awesome. She was so great. We went through what I was looking for and she recommended great products for my hair and gave me an amazing cut! I have been searching for a colorist for 2 years in Savannah. I write as a freelance writer for fashion magazines throughout the US. I asked for the owner Nikki , we couldn't coordinate a time so I went to Kelsey . Nikki thanked me for trusting her staff and even helped consult on the service. She listened to my every request patiently (I am very picky and specific about what I want. She did exactly what I asked for . It is the perfect brunette . Not too red not too brown, just right . First of all, I'm from the Atlanta area and was visiting family in Hilton Head. I had been wanting to get something fun and edgy done and a good friend of mine had mentioned Colorboxx, as she had gone here before and had great results and service (she's a colorist herself). I looked the salon up and sent an email after hours wondering if there were any last minute appts for the following day. I got a call not even a few hours later from Nikki, the owner. She was so helpful on telling me who to ask for when I booked the appointment, told me about her stylists. This instantly put me at ease (when I find a great stylist, I stick with them. so being on vacation and not knowing, made me a little nervous, but Nikki's confidence in her staff and salon changed all that). I had, what I'll call, a high maintainence hair style demand. The whole process took about 6 hours but the results I left with were highly worth it. All the ladies I met were so extremely nice and hospitable. Kelsey did a marvelous job on my hair and her experience definitely shows. Mad props to her for putting up with me for that long. My mom even found something that she wanted so we came back!! I seriously have nothing but great things to say about this salon. Okay so i understand that people can voice their opinions on here , which i think is great ! The color boxx has been known for its name from south magazine , but sources have told me that the color boxx didnt earn their spot for best hair salon , best colorist , or savannahs hottest single , they cheated and had people working the desk vote more than 10 TIMES in 1DAY!!! !!!If you earn it Great, but when you cheat and dont earn it karma comes back to haunt you!!!! Also , The salon is not properly cleaned , If you was to walk in just look at all the dust on the displays , Hair on the floor and the shampoo bowls are nasty!!! more

I had the good fortune of being an employee here for almost a year. Nikki, the owner is not only a terriffic stylist, but a great person as well. The only thing she is guilty of is trying to make sure that both clients and stylists are happy and well cared for. Moreover, she will bend over backwards to be sure that every client is excited to book their next appoinment. This salon is not only fairly priced, but I guarantee you will have a great time in the chair. On your way out, stop by the bakery next door...you won't regret that either! I can't believe someone would actually stoop so low as too cheat other honest company's out of their work. That definitely shows a lack of character and makes you wonder what else is being hidden. Cons: Owner, Location is dirty as the Business itself is. more

Hands down the best salon in Savannah! For the first year I lived in Savannah I used to actually fly back to Chicago to get my hair cut because I was petrified to try someone new. A friend forced me go to Kristen (when she was at another salon), and now I won't get my hair cut by anyone else...not even the girl I used to go to. Kristen is phenomenal and is a stylist who when you say you only want an inch off...that's exactly what she does. She is also hilarious and will make you feel like you've known her for years. Kristen also does wonderful color. If you can't get in with Kristen, I have seen some of the other stylists work and they are all great! It is an extremely affordable salon, so affordable, that I will usually treat myself to one of their great products. Wonderful salon and wonderful owners! Pros: Great hair! Very affordable. more

I was tired of having black hair and knew that going back to a more natural shade would be a little difficult, and when Kristen first suggested highlights would be the way to go, I was a little dubious, but I went with it. I was so glad that I did! It was natural-looking, but not boring or stripey (which is what I always thought highlights looked like before.) I always hated my natural color because I thought it was mousy and flat, but now it looks (and feels) great! I'm also not the type of girl that likes to take the time to do my hair everyday, I just like to look like I do. I usually have something in mind and Kristen is always able to work with that and give me a style that is easy for me to work with and is always flattering. After the first time I saw Kristen for a cut, I had so many compliments. I wasn't used to people noticing my hair and found that I rather enjoyed it, so I always go back and see her when I need to feel like a person again! Nikki did a fabulous job on my hair. I had long strait hair , that I had not cut in a long time, she made my hair look absolutely great and natural. easy to maintain, and she totally listen to what I wanted and made it three times better what I had invasion. She match my color, cover all the grey flawlessly and amazingly beautiful It totally complement my features and skin color, It looks like I was born with this color.The products they use will leave your hair shinny and soft, not dry and over-process.
