One of my best friends used to work here. I love the atmosphere of the place, it seems high fashion. Joan cut my hair and it is amazing i hadn't had a hair cut in so long. She also did my hair for my senior prom and the pictures turned out fantastic! Nikki is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met and it really helps for the feel of the salon. Very reasonably priced and great service! I'm really going to miss this place when i move :[ Pros: very sweet people that actually do care more

I drive from Atlanta to have my hair done at the Colorboxx. Sometimes I might not make it for 4 months or so, but my haircuts always grow out so great that I get compliments even months later. My color is always fantastic too (although sadly, I can't hide my roots after a couple of months!) Anytime I deviate and visit another salon, I am sorely disappointed - from both a technical and a customer service standpoint. I trust Colorboxx so much, that I don't even bring in photos or request any particular cut. I know whatever Nikki does will look better than anything I could imagine! I moved from NY state not long ago and feared finding a new stylist down here. I asked a friend of mine- and she recommended Colorboxx. As I didn't want to spend too much money, I tried Shanna (their junior sylist who charges less)- and she did a great job. I'm going to keep going back to her! more

I have been a customer for 2 years and this is the first time I have stuck with one salon for so long. The staff is friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable and the haircuts always look good. I have found that I get more complements on my hair than ever before. I LOVE my hair. I go to Kim regularly and Joan on occasion. I have graying dark hair and they always manage to cover up that silver flawlessly. I always walk out of there with a cute cut, and not the kind you see on 15 other women on the sidewalk. I love the staff. I've always been treated kindly and respectfully. I always have the best conversations with the girls in there. I'd really recommend it. My husband has been as well and i always adore his cut. I have lived in Savannah my entire life (48 years) and have visited some of the most expensive hair salons in the city. Whenever the newest latest and greatest salon opened I was there. I was never dissatisfied, but I never felt like I got my monies worth, so after a couple of visits I would continue my search for the perfect salon. Pros: Love their location and easy parking. more

I've been going to Nikki to have my hair cut and colored every month since the beginning of 2001 (after a lot of ""mistakes"" at other salons the previous years in Savannah). I""ve never ONCE been disappointed. And this is no joke- but on the occasion I see someone with ""stand-out- great hair"" in Savannah, and I get a chance to ask her who her stylist is, 9 times out of 10 it's Nikki! The Color Boxx came highly recommended to me. I am very, very picky about my hair and I have had a hard time finding a really good salon that I am comfortable with. My experience was a great one. The stylists are friendly and make you feel right at home. My hair cut and color was spot on. In my experience with other salon's I felt that the stylists would not listen to what I wanted and I ended up having to search magazines franticly to try to show them what type of style and color I was looking for. This was not a problem for the stylist at Color Boxx. No franticly searching pictures here. I explained what I was looking for and my stylist knew just what I wanted. She was friendly, professional and worked with confidence. I was very impressed with the end results. The salon itself was organized, clean and sophisticated. I did have the opportunity to meet the owner of the salon. She was so kind and along with my stylist, offered me some great styling tips. My husband and I run our own landscaping business and customer service is our number one priority. I feel this should be every business' priority. I have never had a bad experience at this salon and also have never heard any of the staff speak out of line to each other or their customers. It takes me an hour to drive to the Color Boxx from where I live and its worth every minute. Pros: Great customer service more

The Color Boxx is not only the best hair salon in town, but it is the only hair salon that I have found that can actually make my really blonde hair look natural. It gets hectic there a lot because it is a busy place, and I think sometimes the front desk girl is gone?? But nevertheless, they do wonderful hair and thats the reason to go to a salon anyways. I feel really sorry for the owner reading all of these bad reviews because she is a nice lady, and I think she is easily taken advantage of - I mean obviously she is upset in her message below. I do agree that it is rude to answer the phone during a service and to be poorly dressed, but I haven't witnessed that for myelf at the Color Boxx yet! I grab a glass of wine and a magazine and let them go to work. Pros: Nice girls, great hair when I leave Cons: one girl in there dresses a little skimpy, but hey if you got it! ha more

I own this business and have created it with love and lots of hard work. I bend over backwards for clients and staff. I have recently lost 2 employees who refused to respect the staff code of conduct. There are 2 nasty reviews(coincidntly the day after 2 disgruntled staff left when confronted about poor perfoemance) . I work very hard to keep a good reputation in the community . This salon has been my dream since childhood .I would never do anything to jeopardize it. more

I've been to the Colorboxx on a number of occasions, for various services. I've had several very different cuts and a number of colors done. They really do good work, even the less experienced stylists, and salon owner Nikki is always there to provide her input. Pros: Lovely results; fantastic, friendly staff; very personal service. The salon is a little hard to find but what a found treasure!!! The friendly staff listened to me and even ordered lunch for me. The process of corrective color took a while but when I left my color was beautiful . A big salon in town messed it up and the ColorBoxx made it right. They explained maintenance and even called the next week to check in. The products smelled great. I bought some Goldwell shampoo and conditioner. (Great investment) . One month later, I'm still happy with my hair! Pros: wonderful service and skilled stylists Cons: took a while to fix my mess more
