Total ripoff. I basically been stolen of my money in my face. I looked at the receipt and any way i do the math i don't end up with 1450$ pair of glasses.I asked the lady to do the math for me and she lied in my face. I did the math in her face i end up with approx 1000$ and she still lies in my face that she charged something else which is not on the list. I clearly saw what she calculated. I was totally shocked that i was stolen in westport. I was expecting something else from them. I usually don't complain about anything but this is absolutely unacceptable. Do you self a favor and stay away from them and if you have to really go check the receipts and the money by your self before you pay for anything because if you ask them to help you they will steel you money without a doubt. more

The most enjoyable retail experience that I have EVER experienced. . .anywhere!!! Susan researched my insurance prior to my arrival. I was happily surprised by how much my co-pays covered. Dr. Cohen's exam was more thorough than any Doctor I have ever seen in the past. We picked out a stylish Gucci frame and a 2nd pair at no charge (as per the printed coupon I presented) Great Doctor, Exceptional, Friendly, Attentive service. I left with 2 great pairs of glasses in less than an hour. BRAVO more

From the front desk point of view, it is a bit lacking. Been going here for a couple years and they are always mixed up when it comes to putting the insurance thru their system. Never worked, really. You need to be prepared to submit the receipts to your insurance yourself, if you can fit this into your schedule! I get the feeling the help is not very savvy on the computer. They also are a bit mixed up and tend to have customers stacked up for appts and waiting to get service/appt. The exam itself was fine and I have thus far come out with a functional set of glasses. Hopefully that continues. I hope that IF there was a problem with the fulfillment of glasses that they would ensure that the prescription is made good. more

My goodness I have not experienced anything as bad a this experience in a long time. My wife and I went in to buy three pairs of reading glasses over a month ago, and the saga has not yet ended. Let me first say that I have been going to Cohens for ten years, but recently they have been sold to a new owner. And with the sale came a new way of doing business. I did not have my insurance card on me when I bought the glasses ($3,000 for three pairs) but was assured by the salesperson that they would honor the insurance once I found the card. I called back with the information and they told me that the sale was final and the insurance was not their concern. The fact is that the insurance offers a 40% discount on frames and Cohen's is a listed participant. Two weeks go buy, and I was rewarded with a call from the salesperson on a Sunday night who read me the riot act. Three weeks have gone by and still no glasses and no resolution on the insurance matter. Repeated calls to the manager (Heather) and store visits have borne no results. I finally put a stop on my credit card payment, and now we are in a standoff. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE more

I had always gone to Cohen's at the Stamford Mall, but because I had moved closer to Westport, I chose this location. Never again! The staff was rude, they sold me eyeglass frames that are too small for my head (causing headaches), they encouraged me to buy extra boxes of contacts with a coupon, but gave me a coupon that had expired. Dr. Westrup is the doctor and owner of the Cohen's in Westport and Fairfield and I am so pleased with the careful and thorough examination that my children and I were given.She really cares about you and your eyes! I will go back to her for as long as shes practicing and the selection of frames are unbelievable! I wish more doctors were as caring and thorough in examining and treating the health of their patients as Dr. Westrup is. Knowledgable and caring staff as well as beautiful eyewear!! Wonderful experience; the doctor took her time and explained everything patiently; the staff was courteous and knowledgable; great prices and took all insurance plans. The frame selection was amazing and they had a lab on the premises. I have been telling all my friends who wear glasses and contacts what great care they will receive here. Going into this store I felt like a second class citizen. I am not going to lie, I do make a lot of money. However, I do not wear fancy clothes or drive a nice car, but I was prepared to drop a couple hundred on a pair on nice Ray-Bans. Going in however, I wasn't even greeted by the employees and when I asked for help she rudely said ""We have a couple Ray-Bans, if you want me to order them I will, but you have to buy them"". I then asked if they came in different sizes (which they do, I called Ray-Ban after) and her reply was ""I don't think so."" After asking politely to try them on, she acted very rude to me again and rolled her eyes when I asked how they looked. I couldn't take it anymore so I left the store immediately. This women had a foreign accent, avoid her like the plague! If you want to buy some high quality glasses, DON'T come here. They are terrible, seriously more

I was overcharged over a hundred dollars for my frames due to the Rep rushing me through the process so that they could close the shop. I was not provided the same level of service that more wealthy ""Westport"" clients were given. It took 8 visits to the store and lenses being ordered three times due to them not being cut properly, or not fitting in the frames before I decided to pick up the lenses and take them to a different Cohen's in a different town. I just felt like the whole process was disorganized an truly felt discriminated against. I ended up in a different pair altogether because they never could get it right. Won't recommend to WORST ENEMY! more

Cohen's Fashion Optical of Westport, CT has an excellent selection of frames. The doctor was great I had a bad eye infection and Dr. Westrup took such good care of me. I would recommend this practice to everyone I know. Pros: Great selection of frames, Great staff more
