Cobalt Blue

I was referred to Cobalt Blue by a co-worker and have been going for the past 9 months plus. My stylist Meghan is wonderful! She sits and goes over your likes and dislikes every visit. Have been recommended some great new hair products as well. So glad I found a stylist that I love! more

Robin is the best! I moved to North Austin and I still drive down South to have her cut my hair. She really listens to exactly what I want and my hair looks great everytime. I also love the head and neck massage she gives before my hair is cut. more

Wow, I'm really not easily pleased enough to write a review, but I took the extra time to say the experience was wonderful! I took in a picture and Robyn listened to me and I walked out with exactly like the picture. I can;t tell ya the last time that happened and I am so pleased. She was pleasant andd took the time to listen to what \r I didn't like as well and the proof is in the puddin as they say. Glad my hair has found a home more

Unfortunately, this is going to be my last time at Cobalt Blue because I'm going back to my country soon. I've been in Austin for 6 years, and since 2006 I've been going to this salon to get my haircut. Theresa was my first stylist, but I've been cutting my hair with Robyn for the last years. I have to say that both are great!!! They're always very friendly, efficient and, the most important, they listen to my ideas... I'll miss you guys a lot! Thank you for everything :) more

They are very friendly here. The first time I was there I left with a warm fuzzy feeling and a haircut I liked. When i made another appt., the stylist I had used before wasn't available, so I tried someone else. Also friendly. I mentioned a big change that I had been considering, but wasn't sure about (leaning towards no, but I'd been thinking about it a long time), she thought it was a great idea, said think about it while I shampoo. Well she went ahead and did it without any further discussion and I instantly hated it. She made a few 'corrections' which just made it worse, so I finally smiled and said it was beautiful so she'd stop 'fixing' it and I could get out of there (the only fix now is growing out). Two days later I was still upset about it, so I emailed the salon and a couple weeks later, still no response, which I find very disappointing. Also, this last visit, I really felt like they pushed product. more

So glad I found this place! For years I have traveled back in forth to San Antonio to go the hair stylist that has always done my hair thinking no one else could do color like he does. Boy was I wrong! Leslie does a great job with cuts and color. She really listens to my ideas and makes suggestions to make my hair look great! more

The salon is very welcoming right when you walk in. I blindly booked my first appointment with Val Snyder the first time, I came in for highlights and cut. I told her what I wanted and she produced! My hair is ALWAYS the way I want it when I leave. I keep coming back for that reason. No mystery here: go in , get treated well and get the color or cut you ask for. The best part is the prices are affordable! more

I came to Leslie when my hair was a WRECK. It was long and dead and damaged. I didn't really know what I wanted to do just that I wanted something healthy and different. So we cut off about 6 inches or 7 inches and it was awesome. It was pretty basic but she did a really good job with the shape and everything. I loved my hair. And it really isn't as pricey as most places. She even did my boyfriends hair before a job interview for him and it looked amazing. Good quality for a good price most definitely. more

I am thrilled with the results of the base color and highlights as well as the cut that Jessica gave me...She works with confidence and since I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to my hair, I am really happy I gave her the chance to work with my curly hair...This salon appreciates its clients, as their customer service is very professional and friendly. more

I've had both Leslie and another girl do my hair and I've been happy each time. My cut came out great both times and the coloring that Leslie did on me last time I was in was seamless to my natural color. They give new customers coupons and referral credit, which I thought was pretty great. The envelope with all of the promotions was waiting for me at my chair with my name on it. Great touch! It's difficult to get an appointment sometimes, so book it in advance. more

Adrianne did my hair yesterday. I really think that if you want to walk into a salon and have an expert look at you and tell you the best color, cut, and highlights to go with for your lifestyle and your overall look, Adrianne is the one to see. She is very capable and has a great eye for color especially (she has extensive training). My cut looks cute and professionally done and the color is beautiful with subtle highlights. I have already had several compliments today on it. Another thing that is very under advertised is that Adrianne offers a makeup consultation that is fantastic. She has done makeup for photo shoots and has great tips and tricks about doing your makeup for everyday or for going out, without trying to sell any products. If you want a fresh look, can't seem to figure out all the products or colors for your skin, or just want to have fun playing around with makeup, this is a great experience! I would have loved to have had this lesson when I was younger and just starting to use makeup and think it is a great addition to the salon offerings. Adrianne is an easy person to get along with and chat with and is very friendly and professional. She is motivated and has a lot of experience and impressive credentials. I don't know her outside the salon, but I consider her a friend. Thanks! more

I've been searching for a while for a salon that was close to where I live (SW Austin) and would provide excellent service. I've tried several in the area but was just not happy. I finally tried Cobalt Blue on Wm. Cannon and loved it!!\r Adrianne may be young, but is ever so knowledgable of styles to fit the person. She tried some new techniques on me but was gentle so as not to push anything new that I may not be happy with.\r I highly recommend her and the salon. more

I have some face framing in the front. I told Robin not to use shears in my hair. It was like a bad Edward Scissor Hands at work. Now my once full hair is a jagged uneven mess. more
