My mother moved in with me last year and needed to get her closet set up. The first company I called measured the closet and said they would email me a design, and ignored my elderly mother, and only talked to me, and I never heard back from them. I guess the job was not profitable enough.\r The designer form Closets by Design came out and spent a lot of time talking to my Mother, and that made her feel very important, She drew and priced a design right then. The price was far less than I expected. \r The install was great and fast. The quality is excellent. I don't usually review on the internet but I saw a few bad reviews below and just had to say that there are always two sides to every story, and being in service business myself, sometime customers are impossible to please and don't always tell the truth so be wise and listen to all reviews. \r This is a great company and I have recommended them to some very happy friends. more

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER 11/25/2013

A Rep from this company came to my home to look at our bedroom closet. I think she spent a total 15 min to look, design, get my payment and leave. Well, the quality of what I ended up getting was commensurate with the little time she spent at my house. I needed multi levels of hanging space for various lengths of clothes, and a couple of shelves. what I got was a bunch of shelves and a couple of hanging rods; and the price was ridiculously high for what I got. I called her and said this isn't going to work at all, it was another week before she came back, and another week before they came to remove the shelves and put in more rods. Upon calling their office, I asked for the e mail of the Owner and was "disconnected" I tried again and was put on hold "forever". Here's the thing: my clothes still hit the floor and there isn't enough space to hang the longer items, there is no room for either my shoes or my purses. Perfect! 4/22/2013

We first used CBD about 5-years ago to install closet systems in a house we had already lived in for some time. The CBD designer, Oleg, did an amazing job. Everyone who visited our house commented on the superb look and design. The closets stood the test of time and the company lived up to their "Lifetime Warranty" by replacing the built in ironing board about 5-years after install. The board it was mounted on had come loose and some springs on the ironing board itself had broken. Both were replaced with brand new units. The closet systems added well over their purchase price in value to our home when it came time to sell. When perspective purchasers would offer less than our asking price, we repeated cited the closets as justification for our asking price and it didn't take long for a buyer to agree. \r \r We sold our house in order to build a custom home in Oakton, VA. We decided to shop other closet companies just to see what prices and products were available. None came close more

Delighted with my New Office 5/2/2011

The designer from Closets By Design worked closely and patiently with me, over a series of several home visits, to create the optimum possible design for my home office within my constraints of space and budget. She went out of her way to ensure that I made good choices from an esthetic as well as functional point of view. The team who installed the furniture were consummate professionals, who worked tireless to do a masterful job. They were punctual, courteous, conscientious, and thorough--well beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Closets By Design to anyone who wants to better organize their home or office. The provide quality products, excellent service, and good value. more

Wow Love them! 9/24/2010

Wow these guys are awesome! The designer was great, the office staff helpful, what a great experience. And prices, well I shopper all the other local companies, CBD was at least 2300 less, without giving up quality. Don't even waste your time with the other guys! more

WARNING: USE THESE GUYS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! 12/15/2008

After doing my homework, going on line, and calling different closet installers we selected CLOSETS BY DESIGN of MANASSAS, VA - BIG MISTAKE!\r \r They did not show up on time, they took 4 days when they said two, the installers left the closets a complete mess... Saw dust every where, nails and industrial staples sticking out. \r \r The workmanship was less than satisfactory, what was specified with the designer did not get built. Still have ties and clothes that have no place to go in the closet because the design specs by their designer were not actually followed by the installers. \r \r Called their corporate office to complain and all we get is "RUN AROUND..." worse was the attitude of the "Corporate" employees who scheduled these guys. Had to tell our story to four different people within the organization and the issues still remain unresolved.\r \r Asked to speak to the Franchise Owner and was told "He does not keep an office here and we never see him." <- Explains Everything!\r Finall more
