Clean As A Whisker

ive been taking my chewy the pomeranian and sasha the shitzu to clean as a whisker for many years now... And now i have a third little pom named ninja who just got his haircut there and he loooks sooooooo handsome!!! This is the best dog groomer ive been too!!. Very friendly, most importantly very consistent doggy haircuts. Years ago i took chewy to a place near my house and they made him look like a cat!!! terrible! HE may act like one but i dont want him to look like one!!lol! Anyway, Clean as a whisker is very professional, the haircuts are very neat... Some places leave them so uneven. This is the place to go to know your puppy will definitely come out looking good... thank you for the hard work guys.. Sincerely a very happy customer! more

I have been taking my daschund, Destini, to Clean as a Wisker for years now! She is getting older, and is always a bit fussy about us clipping her nails, so we take her as often as we can to Clean as a Wisker to get them done- since they are wayyyy better at it! They do an excellent job, are professional, AND super friendly. I trust them with every service they provide, as well as the great advice they give. The girls who do the grooming are great with the animals, and the owner is always open and willing to share his knowledge/ suggest products that truly do work the BEST.\r \r We have another puppy who just turned two the other day, and based on the great service they've provided, we've started bringing her there as well. I would never go anywhere else for my dog's grooming. Clean As A Whisker not only does superior dog grooming, they are the most friendliest bunch of people I've ever done business with. My dog is not the most cooperative of dogs when he first meets someone new. The staff at Clean As A Whisker were very patient with my poodle and now my dog is doing great with them due to their persistent patience. I often get compliments from people after he is groomed and asked where I take him. My poodle mix has NEVER looked so stylish! There is an astonishing difference between the ragamuffin I brought in and the beauty I got back. I can't take my eyes off her since she got her hair cut at Clean As A Whisker. I expected her to be shaved like other groomers have done, but she looked hand-cut and styled. Amazing! more

Ive been bringing my Yorkie to Clean as A Whiser for 3 years now, and not once have i ever been dissapointed with the hair cut, or the service i have gotten. My dog has went in perfectly fine and has came out the same. I would never go any where else !!! This place was Highly recommended by a couple of my friends as well as plenty of vets. I took my morkie and yorkie dogs here and when I arrived the owner had the nerve to argue with me about the breed of my dog, like I was trying to scam him or something! He told me that my morkie was a poodle because of the coat and that he would have to charge me extra since it would be harder for him to groom her! I explained to him that I had papers certifying that she was in fact a morkie. He was very rude. After lowering the price on my yorkie since I didn't want them to cut the length of her hair I agreed to letting them groom the dogs. I was very put off by this and my mother and I thought it was strange that he was arguing with me about it. I even contemplated saying something to him when I went back to pick them up but decided against it. Later when I went back, the dogs they looked great, but the owner proceeded to explain to me that there was no way that she was a morkie b/c as he put it ""You can't get that coloring in a morkie"" and eluded that the people who sold her to me mislead me. I explained that I saw both the parents and knew that she was a morkie and yet again he continued that it couldn't be possible. I then got VERY offended and decided to share that I thought it was VERY rude of him to tell me what breed my dog was when I clearly said that she was a morkie and had papers on her. He then told me to just ""Pay him and go"" and then he added ""don't come back"". I feel that it was totally inappropriate and unprofessional how he handled himself. I hear all the time that people think my dog is a poodle, but at least they're nice about it. He could've said that he had never seen a morkie in her coloring or something to that effect rather than making me out to be a liar! I will NEVER take my dogs back there which is really a shame b/c I liked the way my dogs came out. Hasn't he ever heard the saying the customer is always right?!!!! Pros: Dogs looked great. I have been taking my dog there for about 2-3 years. I feel i get the best care from everyone including the owner. When i started going to him i was a first time dog owner and i couldn' get my dog trained to go outside and he talked to me and gave me very wounderful advise. Inow his prices may be high but you get a very very good grooming job and they try to accommidate to you schedule. I wouln'd go any were else!!!! I bring both of my Shih Tzu's, Noelle, and Hannah, to Steve and the girls at ""Clean as a Whisker"". I have a one year old, who has been going there for a long time, and my five month old has been there about three times. I feel that the staff there always gives my dogs great attention. Noelle and Hannah always come home looking, smelling great, and are always groomed to my satisfaction . One of the girls even called me before she started cutting Noelle because she wanted to explain to me that Noelle would have to be a little shorter than usual because of some matting on her underbelly. The groomer wanted me to be aware before she took it upon herself to cut Noelle shorter.\r Steve was the only person who took the time to show me how to get both, Noelle, and Hannah's ear infections under control. He really took the time to explain. Not even my vet spent that amount of time explaining the proper cleaning procedure to me concerning the dogs ears. I wouldn't bring my girls anywhere else!!! I got a recommendation to go to Clean as a Whisker from a friend and was very happy there. I thought it was a touch more expensive than some other places ($5 more) but my puppy smelled great a whole lot longer! Plus she got a good haircut. Another place I tried gave her a chopped up cut. Now after returning to Clean as a whisker she looks adorable. THe girls that work there are very friendly and always are very affectionate to her. THe owner (I guess his name is Steve based on the other reviews I read) is very nice and knows what he is doing. He is friendly and does a lot of business. I would recommend this place for grooming. Just tell them exactly what you want and they do it- they want you to be happy. Four stars! If it was a tiny bit cheaper I would rate a 5 star ( I don't like spending more on my dog's hair than my own!!!) Pros: Great people and friendly! more

I had taken my dog to get groomed at this horrible place called Clean as a whisker. After she had gotten groomed I took her to the park... I knelt down to give her a hug and felt this humongeous buldge coming out of her neck. I had no choice other than to call this heartless groomer due to the fact that my Vet was closed on a late Saturday. I called Steve or shall we consider his name to be slime ball White Trash! I told him what I found and he said to bring the dog in right away. I drove to this location and to make a long story short Steve stated that this buldge that was literally the size of a eyeball coming out of my dog's neck was a ""Hot SPot""... Well I then told him that is not true my dog did not have fleas. I then told Steve every groomer has insurance and because my dog did not have this before I had taken him to Steve he should pay for the vet bill because I was taking my dog to the vet. Steve had told me to "" GO F MYSELF"" I was appauled and proceeded with the idea of the Vet vist. I had found out through my Vet it was infact a Bacterial infection due to unsanitary tools! Disgusting and cost me a whole lot of money.. Anitbiotics, special topical meds. Steve should be ashamed of himself horrible business skills and he should be closed down!\r \r GO TO BARK AVE Best place Pros: I have nothing good to say abou this place other than his employees keep employees change owner! Yeah the guy lied about the soap. I know that. I use to take my dog to clean as a whisker he came out okay. He never came out quite as good. I was talking to the owner on the phone. (Steve) he said my dog wasnt aloud back there. He came out cleaner at Petco. Use Petco for no on. Pros: Annoyed more

Just to clear up all this nonsense, there is no way too much soap got into a dogs eye and caused an infection. #1 tearless shampoo and #2 no bather in that facility would ever let soap stay on a dog or cats face. YOU SIR are a liar and a horrible person! You went to court and oh boy, you lied and no you didn't get your money for any vet bill actually i think STEVE KUPER got your money because well, surprise you lied! YOU committed perjury! clean as a whisker just like any other service out there has the mind set to serve their customers with respect. When you go in and your pet is MATTED , its YOUR FAULT! do you want them to start trying to get all the KNOTS out and put your pet through a very painful experience? Brought my dog to be shaved and shampooed. They got so much soap in my dog's eye that it caused an infection. When I confronted the owner (Steve) he lied about it and told me if I sued him for the vet bill that he would take his chances. I had to go to court to get my vet bill paid. Judge agreed that they were responsible.\r I wouldn't trust them with any pet. Pros: Nothing that I can think of. Cons: Rude, deceitful and irresponsible. more

I have been going to Clean as a Whisker for over a year now and they are wonderful. Not many groomers will take cats. I take my cat almost every other month and he comes back so clean and he smells wonderful. They do a wonderful job with a nervous cat. When I pick him up he is usually sound aslep in his cage which tells me he is happy with them also. Would recommend to anyone. more

I was very disappointed at the way I was treated at this facility today. I brought my dog in to be groomed today and specifically went over the way I wanted my dog groomed. The young girl who took my info and talked to me as I checked in was thorough in her questions on how I wanted my dog's hair cut. When I picked her up I was shocked to find her shaved leaving only her tail and head left with with fur. When I talked to the owner and explained that I was very unhappy with the haircut, he was insensitive and rude telling me that it had to be done because my dog's hair was matted. This was not true. I cannot believe the lack of customer service. He did not even care about how I (THE CUSTOMER) felt. I will never return to this establishment and I will tell as many people as I can about the bad service, bad haircut and rudeness I was given by the owner. He did not even try to make things right.
